Garlic chicken with bell peppers tomatoes and onions looked better than the picture

ahh it was too good to last. I came in to Pizza Twist and a man took my order. I had asked if they have sausage. He told me yes. I ordered 1 10 " sausage pie and one chicken pie. A man came in perhaps from DoorDash or the like and was also waiting on an order. I waited quite some time but figured they are making it fresh and I chatted with the lady there as well. What I got when I opened the boxes at home- 2 burnt pizzas 1 with chicken and one just a cheese pie. (see pix) I could not have made myself more clear repeating it more than once as to what I ordered. I can not help it if they do not understand what I ask for and I called them. I tried to explain to the man who answered the call and then asked to speak to the woman there. She tells me the next time I order Ill get some discount but was not clear of how much of or what. I was to say the least, disappointed.

Can't rave enough about their vegan options! So tasty flavor and amazing texture. They have lots of sauces and toppings to choose from. Their vegan meats are amazing!

Rip. Good concept. Bad execution. If I can summarize this experience in one word: Soggy. When I saw Pizza Twist, I thought it was a great concept. It's located in the heart of Hicksville and has interesting blends of Italian + Indian food. There was tikka masala pizzas, tandoor pizzas, and pizza cookies. I thought this concept was really cool. On top of that, they are very inclusive, offering vegan, veggie, halal, and gluten free options. I was actually excited about this place. Too bad my hopes and dreams were crushed. The store experience and the food was garbage. First off, the cashier in the front barely spoke English. I almost ordered chicken (I'm vegetarian) because I did not understand him. Secondly, the order took over 30 minutes to make. Not a good look for a fast-food type restaurant. Finally, the food. We got the vegetarian "chicken" tikki masala pizza. This didn't even taste like tikka masala. Just tasted like normal pizza with some beyond chicken on it. For the premium we paid to get the "tikki masala", the price simply is not worth it. You'd better stick with the Dominos. The pizza didn't taste BAD, it was just mediocre, and didn't feel like "tikki masala". Here's where it goes bad. We ordered the seasoned fries. Terrible. They came out super soggy and the potato was hard to bite into like it wasn't cooked fully. The Pizza Cookie was decent however. Not worth 8$ imo, but tasted decent.

Tried this place for the first time. Only joint dishing out Indian style Italian food like pizza and pasta. Tried their tandoori chicken pizza which was very tasty, butter chicken naan pizza was okayish, delicious garlic Parmesan chicken wings. The menu offers several other interesting options, will try the place again soon.

Busy busy busy at work...can we speak to the landlord of the building and get these guys more storage space please ?

I was suspecting a franchisey feel to the place when I first entered and I guessed it right...Mr Pizza Twisty has been busy at work on the west coast with over 45 locations up north in Sacramento! I happen to speak with the owner of this location who has extensive knowledge on the business end of the pizza business model. The conversation carried on of the expansion of Mr Pizza Twisty across the globe, which I admire such ambitions. They gave me an introductory discount and after a 15 minute wait , my garlic pizza 10" pie was hot and ready to go. As I bestowed my best wishes , I stepped out and took a look at Mr Pizza Twisty's creation...I was pretty impressed. It looked , neat, and clean. A well decorated pizza with fresh veggies and fresh mushrooms! Not the canned ones I used to get at Regina's on Kissena Blvd (they are no longer active...a good neighborhood pizzeria nonetheless). I took the first bite and what a crunch! These guys got a formula, plain and simple. The flavor was pretty good but surprisingly it didn't feel heavy after I finished 90% of the pie. The secret is the crust and fresh veggies people. Was I hungry? I guess. But this was a really good pie. Beginners luck I suppose. I was looking at the one star reviews and well, the truth is , everyone can't be happy all the time. So would I come back again? Of course, why not. They got me hooked. I have yet to try the other 10 varieties of their pizza and Mr Pizza Twisty was smiling at me as I left telling me "you will be back you bastard guy". I'm not a bastard, for the record. Mr Pizza Twisty knows what he's doing and although all menu items may not hit a home run, this one got me stealing third base and hitting home plate with one big thumbs up ! *side note, they bake their fries , not deep fry them!

    Lahori Tikka Pizza
    Zain S.

Stopped by to Pizza Twist for the first time today and I have to say it wasn't too bad. Remember guys, this is not your ordinary pizzeria pizza or anything but their ingredients are authentic I guess. I ordered the Lahori Tikka Pizza and I was expecting a little more flavor and I really didn't get that. The whole idea of the pizza was to make it seem like with all the chicken and cheese and sauce that it would be some what close to a Lahori taste? Wrong, it wasn't too pleasant. I ordered the 14" and we actually got about 10 slices and not your ordinary 8 which I was surprised and it came with a side of white sauce, doesn't suit the pizza. Two things that were the down fall of this pizza were that there was no sauce, and that there wasn't a lot of spice or taste. The only taste you actually get is this masala after taste. Overall, it was toooo bad. Maybe I'll check out their halal bacon and halal pepperoni.

See chicken wing below if not a wing
    Anika K.

If can give zero stars I would. I am being generous by giving 1 star. The pizza was okay however the wings were trash. It was soggy and microwaved..not fresh. The wings were also weirdly shaped it.. it was probably other parts of a chicken we didn't want. See picture below for reference. Plus the worker had an attitude,

My only complaint? My stomach has a limit…read more My family and I have been coming to Diwan for years, and this is hands down our go-to spot for Indian all-you-can-eat. I used to frequent the Indian buffets in Jackson Heights, and honestly, Diwan is just as good, if not better! One thing I really appreciate is that they have their own parking lot, the dining room is spacious, and as a parent, I was thrilled to see they have baby high chairs. Those little details make a big difference. We stopped by for their weekday AYCE special at just $15 per adult, which is an incredible value! My plate always ends up looking the same because I can't resist the chicken biryani, palak paneer, and that rich, creamy butter chicken. Oh, and they mostly use chicken thighs! So tender and moist! I keep telling myself I'll try something different... then I walk back with the exact same favorites. No regrets. We also ordered the mango lassi, and it was fantastic! Just a little tip: it comes with ice by default, so if you prefer it without ice, just let them know when ordering. The food quality has been consistently excellent every time we've visited, and the service has always been warm and attentive. Another thing I enjoy is how peaceful the dining room is. It's not loud or chaotic. Everyone seems completely focused on the important business of enjoying their food. A couple of helpful tips: the buffet is dine-in only, so you can't pack up buffet food to take home. If you're ordering takeout, you'll need to order from the regular menu instead. They also offer children's pricing for the buffet, so if you're unsure about the details, just give them a quick call. If you're craving great Indian food without emptying your wallet, Diwan continues to be one of my favorite AYCE spots. Highly recommended!

Fresh puri and plenty of sauces, fresh rice and a very nice spread of Indian favorites. I really enjoyed everything they had to offer and especially the vegetarian options such as dhal and paneer. Great service and the only caveat is that any naan is purchased separately as it's not included in the ayce price. You can also just order fresh plates of any combination off their à la carte menu. We opted for the lunch buffet and were very satisfied and both price point and quality were excellent. The restaurant itself is nice with great ambiance and plenty of seating. There's also plenty of beverage options. We've been back twice already and anticipate many more visits.

It's also great that they offer zabiha halal options, which makes it more accessible and comfortable to order from. The food itself is where they shine. The biryani is especially good--aromatic, fresh, and well-layered in flavor. The haleem is rich, hearty, and very satisfying, and dishes like the keema luqmi also feel freshly made and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there's real effort behind the savory items. That said, the menu feels a bit unfocused now. With the addition of things like Chinese dishes and smoothies, it starts to feel a little scattered instead of staying true to its Hyderabadi identity, which is a bit confusing as a customer. The decor is very modern and clean, but it doesn't really reflect the cultural richness of the cuisine--something more traditional like places such as Sunshine Restaurant would've suited it better. On the downside, the desserts were also not a hit for me--they leaned too sweet and didn't feel as balanced as the savory dishes.

I came here last week for an event, and got to enjoy basically a tasting menu of sorts…read more This menu took Indian flavors on a seriously fun ride. From rich and smoky to spicy, tangy, creamy, and refreshing. Banjara Tikka brought tender chicken thighs layered with yogurt, fried onion and garlic. Mauryaji Basket Chaat delivered chickpeas, potato, tamarind, mint, pomegranate and a creamy yogurt mousse. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was perfectly seasoned and savory with pickled laccha onion, while the Guntur Chilli Chicken Bao turned up the heat with Guntur red chili, sesame and refreshing beetroot shikanji shots. The vegetarian dishes absolutely held their own as well. Chilli Momo with carrot, sesame and seaweed, came out with a soft, delicate bite and a subtle chew, filled with a lightly spiced vegetable mix that leaned savory and aromatic rather than overpowering heat. The Paneer Makhni was rich, velvety, and deeply comforting. The paneer stayed soft and pillowy, soaking up a buttery tomato-cashew gravy that was slightly sweet, gently tangy, and finished with that unmistakable fenugreek aroma that tied everything together. The mains were just as unforgettable. Laal Maas came in bold and unapologetic. Tender goat slow-cooked until it practically melted off the bone, swimming in a deep, smoky gravy built on mathania chilies that brought slow heat. The Shrimp Malai Curry was the complete opposite in tone. Silky coconut milk wrapped around plump tiger shrimp, with Bengali whole spices adding a gentle sweetness and aromatic depth that made the dish feel light yet indulgent at the same time. And somehow dessert still had room to impress. Rose Kulfi was creamy, floral and sweet without being overwhelming. Drinks included everything from the floral, mezcal-and-rooza Gulabo to Mango Lassi. And as someone who historically doesn't like anything rose flavored, I enjoyed both the drink AND the dessert. Just as good as the food, was the service. It is definitely a spot that should not be missed.
