Located in a shopping plaza. Plenty of free parking. I parked on the side street. Stopped in for a quick pick up I got a slice of grandma pizza. And the slice of chicken Marsala pizza. The grandma slice was thin, crisp, and had a great tomato flavor that didn't overpower the cheese. You could tell the sauce was made with care. The chicken Marsala slice was something different but in a good way. The chicken was tender, and the Marsala sauce gave it this rich, savory flavor you don't usually get on pizza. Crust on both slices was nice, holds up well without being too heavy. Customer service was amazing and they greeted me with care. Highly recommend. read more

I thought it's about time I should try this place. I ordered one of each spinach pinwheel pepperoni pinwheel broccoli pinwheel grandma Sicilian chrustina. I enjoyed all of them. The spinach pin was last one sitting, kinda waiting to be thrown out, I don't know why I ordered it, it was old and burnt, other then that would've been really good. Disappointed about it, $4. I am guessing it was around four dollars each, my bill was $24. They have sitting area in the back. I will definitely go back. We picked up a Grandma Pie and a Cesar Salad from Mulberry St. Pizza on the way to our friends house. The 3 of us smashed the pizza and the salad. It was great. Very cheesy, super hot. This is my local NY Pizzeria on Long Island and they are phenomenal! Love this place for getting my NY Pizza fix close to my house when I have a hankering for good NY pizza and I'm not in the city. They have the second best Grandma Pie I've ever had on Long Island (second only to Umberto's of New Hyde Park which is a pizzeria that is synonymous with Grandma Pie). Also, if you like vodka sauce and you're a fan of Long Island Grandma Pie their Grandma Pie made with vodka sauce is very good and I highly recommend it. Lastly, they have a truly excellent plain cheese slice that stands up well next to many of the delicious slices you can get in Manhattan and Brooklyn (the two NYC boroughs most known for truly delicious NYC pizza). Mulberry Street is our go to pizzeria out here in Long Island. We've only ordered pickup (never dined in) from here multiple times but it is still very satisfying. The tomato sauce it perfectly tangy just the way I like it and with the right amount of cheese. They are generous with the toppings if you choose to do that. I do however think their pizza has a little too much crust although that's not even a big deal. I usually like eating pizza crusts, but not from here as I think of it as extra unnecessary calories that's just not worth it (I'm on a fake diet all the time, okay?). Still it is a delicious classic pie. We ordered the linguine with white clam sauce from here once and I thought it was just alright. Overall we will continue to give Mulberry Street our business. I think it serves some fantastic pizza. And quite honestly it's such good pizza that I find no need to try any other pizzerias around the area. read more

Watch out!! They will overcharge you for your food/drinks. Check your receipt! I called them out when they overcharged me and they said they will re-run the correct amount on my credit card. They re-ran the overcharged amount after I left. When I stopped into the restaurant a week later to request that they resolve this, they said someone will call me to rectify it. This is the best pizza on long island! The dough is fantastic, fluffy but crusty in the right places and well seasoned. The sauce has depth of flavor and a richness to it that I haven't seen at other pizzerias. Everyone who works there is super nice and welcoming. My husband and I discovered Mulberry by sheer luck - we just so happened to move nearby. We lived there for 5 years and would get a pie every weekend. We've since moved about 15 minutes away and still come back every week with our kids to get our large cheese pie (lightly baked - makes for a fluffier crust) and garlic knots with a side of sauce. My friend Art is friends with the owners and he suggested that I give this place a try when I was next on Long Island. I didn't have time to meet up with my friend Art, but I did have time to stop by Mulberry Street for a late night snack. This is why I'm fat. I had two slices, choosing from the ones that were on display behind the glass. The first was served cold, as is appropriate. The Mesclun Salad was very tasty and crisp with a light dressing and some bleu cheese mixed in for bite. Delicious. I had just finished eating that when the second slice arrived, mozzarella, sliced tomatoes and roasted red peppers. Nicely melted from some time in the oven. It had looked awesome on display and it tasted even better on my plate. Great stuff. My only complaint is that their beer selection was a little dismal. They were even out of Heineken so I ended up with a Michelob Ultra. Oh, well. I'd still return and I hope that they'll fix this beer issue. read more

I have been to this pizza place a number of times, but haven't posted a review. Fortunately, I took notes on at least one dish I ordered for take out, which I will transcribe here. Tale of the ol' tape: Penne alla Vodka Though they give you a large portion size, the pasta was drowning in the sauce, so much so that you'd have extra left over when the penne was gone. I have no problem with that, as the sauce is excellent! Great flavor with a nice tang to it, Mulberry Street makes a solid, extremely tasty and satisfying vodka sauce. Not only that, this dish comes with a dinner roll that has the taste of a biscuit, and is in and of itself excellent as well! I came here on a whim needing a quick slice. It was around lunch time. It wasn't crowded, the employees were talking to each other enjoy themselves. I placed my order after they noticed me. He pizza took about 3 minutes to be warmed up in the oven. Not bad. I don't remember exactly but a slice is about $2.75 I think. The pizza itself was horrible. Very salty and almost no sauce. It tastes like cheese on dough with salt. I won't be back. 2 stars, because perhaps the other food items are worth the visit. I wanted pizza and their pizza failed me. Although I've lived near here years ago, I never made it in. Today while visiting some family, it showed up on our feed. So we decided to come. There was good parking. We were greeted promptly, we walked inside and found a table for 5. It is spacious. The waiter was great and gave us menu then took our orders efficiently. Some ordered pizza, some fried calamari and some pasta. My nephew says, "the pizza was so good". My daughter says, "the ravioli was great". Sunday night circa 9pm Bon G. and I wanted to try a new pizza place and Mulberry Street came up. Called and spoke to a very nice Italian Gentlemen and discussed what we wanted to order. We got a half mushroom, half sausage pie and a salad with grated cheese and a couple of peppercinis. Promised in 45 minutes and it showed up in time delivered by a nice young lady with a big smile. The pizza was delicious! wonderful sauce and cheese and plenty of toppings! Crust was outstanding when eaten alone...after eating alll the good stuff....Salad was fresh greens with cucumber, tomato, plenty of grated mozz and the peppercini peppers I requested. Food: Generic pizza, wasn't anything special. Experience wasn't great. Went there, not that busy. Asked the guy at the counter if they served 'halal' or 'kosher' meat. He didn't know what I meant by it. It felt like he assumed I was asking whether or not they have 'chicken and rice' or something. But I was trying to explain to the guy that 'halal' doesn't mean 'chicken and rice'. 'Halal' and 'kosher' mean that the animal was slaughtered based on the guidelines of certain religions, it's simply raw meat that can be used to make anything. As I was explaining it to the guy, potentially trying to help them grow their business since Hicksville has a lot of people who strictly eat 'halal' meat, the older guy asked the guy I was talking with 'to get back to work'.. even though it wasn't busy. It just felt very rude and they definitely made me feel uncomfortable and not welcomed. I get it, you don't want your employees to have an hour long conversation but it was a 2 min casual conversation about whether or not they offered certain options. If they had an open enough mind, that could help their business tenfold. I, personally, can't stand closed minded business owners and people. It's 2021, worlding is changing. And you are located in an area with a huge amount of people who strictly eat 'halal' meat, what's the harm in trying? You'll gain a lot more customers, all the while maintaining the ones you have.
