We were in the area and saw this place had good reviews. There was a wait of about 30 minutes. The host had said the wait would be about 45 minutes so we were glad it was 30 minutes. The food was good, no complaints. The only thing that did disappoint was the drinks. My husband got horchata but he said it seemed water down. I'm a loyal customer and have always enjoyed coming here, in fact, my husband and I were just here last week. Unfortunately, today's experience was really disappointing. To start, my café de olla was served in a to-go cup instead of the usual mug, which immediately felt off. Everyone else had mugs. I started thinking it was someone's left over coffee or a wrong order, they just gave me so they won't waste it. When I asked for creamer, it took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. On top of that, we always order the same thing, but this time the portions were noticeably smaller, it felt more like a side dish than the entrée we're used to. They even used a smaller plate, not the usual oval ones. Just last week, we received full, satisfying meals. I don't know what changed in such a short time, but the quality and service were definitely not what we've come to expect. I truly hope this was just an off day and not a new standard. I'd read other reviews of long waits for breakfast. For dinner on a weeknight there was no wait at all. Very nice cozy place with friendly staff. The menu is enormous with lots of unusual ingredients. It took us quite awhile to decide. I ordered the San Ignacio breakfast combo with the salsa on the side. It was good but had a lot of corn carbs. He had the Sope's Special which he enjoyed and gave me a bite. It was all good but a little pricey. Finally tried this spot after it's been bookmarked for years and it did not disappoint. We came on a drizzly Monday morning at 8:30 AM and all the tables were filled. Outside seating was available but it was too cold so we waited about 20 minutes for a table to open up. They have a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner, and all items are available all day. I got chilaquiles divorciados with red and green sauce and eggs over easy with queso fresco which also came with rice and beans. Flavors from the two sauces were both delicious and the portions were generous. We also shared their very berry crispy toast a la carte and I loved the semi-crispy texture from the cereal coating and the fresh berries. You MUST get their namesake, the cafe de olla. This coffee was smooth, sweet, cinnamon-ny, and so unique. I even saw a guy just order eight orders of just the coffee togo. From waiting for a table to getting the check, service was great and attentive from everyone. I liked that everyone pitched in and made their operations run smoothly. Street parking only. read more

This is possibly one of the best brunch places in Burbank!! I have been here twice and have had a phenomenal meal and service both times. I have their cafe de olla and their olla frappe. both incredible! and I love the cute jars they come in. The chorizo burrito with hashbrowns was perfectly cooked and not overly greasy which I find happens with a lot of chorizo! The burger was great but I only had a bite. The buns were not only cute but perfectly toasted and a good flavor. The salsa you get with the burrito is delicious with the perfect amount of kick. For being so busy they're always so quick with your food and the service was fantastic. I have only great things to say about this place. It's truly what 5 stars is supposed to look like! Wanted to try a new brunch place with a friend and figured we'd give this place a try. Wasn't hard to find street parking and although there was a bit of a wait, it wasn't as long as I had expected. Wow the reviews are right about how great this restaurant is. I ordered the Chilaquiles and was blown away by how delicious the dish was. It appears that the person seating folks may be moving some folks ahead of others that were there before others. I saw a table for two approach for a table and got sat before someone else who was told their table for two was almost ready. Then that party had to wait another 25 min for a table. So a bit suspicious. If you are a young lady and speak Spanish you might be able to move ahead in line for a table. We suspect that was happening since we also heard him ask a young lady was between 15-20 years old. Not sure why but it makes the whole situation suspect. The online wait app was suspended so it isn't like they got on the list ahead of the other person via that route. And with me they kept pronouncing my name wrong which doesn't bother me. What bothered me was they were dismissive and said "same thing" when I was asking if they were calling me since I wasn't sure. He apologized only when I said out loud to my friend what he told me. It is air conditioned inside. There is seating outside. It is a bit noisy inside, but you can still hear each other. Everyone does seem to be ordering the popular items so those must be good. I got the Charizo con Huevo and my friend got the French toast. My friend said it was the best French toast she has ever had. My food was good too. Iced coffee was really good. The best word to describe this place is OVERRATED! To begin the wait time was 1.5hrs on a weekday luckily there's a park walking distance to distract my kiddos. The food was OVER PRICED for the portions and lacked flavor. Hubby & I both got the chilaquilles divorciados. The dish comes with 2eggs, about 1/2cup of rice, a small dallop of beans and a small handfull of tortilla chips as chilaquilles. The rice was very hard as if it had been sitting out and the chilaquilles lacked flavor. We also ordered a strawberry mandarín salad with chicken ($25). The salad itself was ok, I mean how can you mess up greens and dressing. However the chicken was super dry and full of pepper not worth the additional $8. We also tried an iced café de holla ($6) it was super sweet you could barely taste the coffee in it. More than half the cup was milk and ice! Overall, we spent $70+ and left unsatisfied and hungry. The tortilla chips were nice and crispy even though they were soaked in sauce, not soggy at all! I also loved that the tortillas were served warm with the Machaca con huevo. The taste for both dishes exceeded my expectations. It's a small restaurant that is very busy, even during non-peak hours; had a twenty minute wait on a weekday at 3.
