She immediately and rudely told me, "You need to go through the drive-through. All pickups are at the drive-through." The promptly closed the walk up window in my face. If that's the policy, that's fine, but there was no need to act that way, especially to someone who was just attempting to pick up a DoorDash order. In addition, it was especially confusing since other Aroma Joe's locations always direct dashers to use the walk-up window or go inside to avoid holding up the drive-through line. Rather than deal with the hostility, I unassigned the order from my account and left without pay. Delivery drivers are simply following the instructions provided to them and a respectful explanation would have been appreciated, especially considering the store has to manually add in what pick up instructions for drivers are.

We do wish they would move Hootenanny's Bread to the south end of the market near Dharma Farms and Kelly Bros beef-- it would reduce the congestion from the long lines and make the "main street" of the market more enjoyable. The market moves indoors with fewer vendors in November-- being in the historic freight shed is a little more crowded but also cozy as the winter months progress. And our freezer is never without a Mainely Poultry pot pie or two, some haddock "burgers", or a Chase Farms apple pie. It's our kids (and their kids) favorite activity when they visit.
