Bugolgi soon tofu soup. (The soon tofu soup itself isn't vegetarian either, just to let you know!) Wonderful choice for cold weather.

One of my favourite places! The moment you come close to the store, you can see through the giant windows at the simple but elegant decor. It gives off a very comfortable cafe feeling. You have to move the curtains to get in (so that cold air doesn't blow straight into patrons' faces - this is a great idea, by the way, and more places should do this!). It is brightly lit, and the windows allow natural light to filter in. The menu is medium sized. Entree wise, there are a limited number of choices, but all of them are good ones. There are some choices for snacks, both sweet and salty that they offer to warm up (ex. Korean pancakes). There is also a fascinating choice of Gelato (Gelato and Korean food - who'd have known?!). Drinks are also a fairly limited selection. Still, all quite good. Service is super friendly! Once you get to know Daisy, she gives you the warmest welcomes and chats with you. She gives very warm welcomes if she doesn't know you too, but it's nice to get to know her. All the staff are kind and try to be as helpful as they can. The place is also very clean. The staff are good at cleaning up after people leave and regularly make sure the floors aren't slippery (particularly in winter weather). The washrooms are also clean! There is a washroom upstairs for accessibility, but also one downstairs. The atmosphere is wonderful. It ranges from quiet cafe (acoustic covers of pop songs through the years play gently) or a chatty cafe. Regardless of the noise level, the welcoming feeling stays. It's also very kid-friendly. Toys and books are available (as well as child-sized drinks). There are a limited number of outlets, though, if you want to charge your devices as you work. So far, I've loved the tofu soups (with bugolgi or not) because of the cold weather. I'm sure in the summer, I'll go back to some of the other options, though!

Cafe Coroco is a local coffee shop. The decor is very nice. They serve many types of desert along with gelato ice cream. They also have sandwiches. Good coffee with delicious marble cheesecake brownie. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately no wifi available in the cafe.

I went here around 2:00pm on a weekday, so it wasn't very busy. The space is bright, clean, and there are large tables where you can work. The barista was in training, but very nice. Staff seem to be ESL, but that wasn't a barrier to service, as they could communicate effectively and were very kind. Their special bar is amazing! It's this coconut bar that is so moist, fluffy, and almost creamy at the same time. It made me think of banana bread, but different. It's definitely worth trying. The Americano was standard flare. They don't advertise their WIFI password, but the staff put it directly in my phone for me - a little different, but I got connected. The music is quite loud, so It's not ideal for a work space, and moms with bucket loads of kids kept coming in. I almost want to say it's a young white mom hot spot, but hopefully that was only due to the time of day. It's one of a few new coffee places that seem to be opening up in the area, which is nice because this area is lacking in them.

The staff are super polite and helpful. It's a small team so it can get quite busy easily, but they were very nice and the food was delightful. They have a wonderful array of desserts/baked goods, as well as vegan options. They also had dumplings and korean food options, which they serve warm when dining in. I had a Cookie which was pretty good, I believe it was called a "Sammy" I'm pretty sure; not the biggest fan of raisins but it didn't taste bad at all.

    So true.

I came here for lunch a ordered the Bulgogi . It was so tasty and I was so hungry I did not stop to take a photo. For dessert I had a coffee and a Bahamian (I think) version of pain-perdu, or Spanish budding , or like Martin B. Review shows banana bread but much lighter with coconut. I think it's their special bar. It is worth trying and reordering next time I'm close by. I think I spoke with the owner she was really pleasant and her café is very efficient, clean , well lit and decorated. The staff were also very nice and pleasant.

I stopped by in a recent visit to Toronto when it made more sense to wait for my wife than to drive back and forth from our hotel in Mississauga amidst... hey did you know that (unscientific as this may be) traffic may actually be worst on weekends than during the week? Reason is that, while many folks commute using public transit, car owners drive to their destinations on weekends. This is a small, sun-shiny kind of space, with Wifi. The front part, especially, is a good place to bask in the rays. They seem to offer a few food choices for breakfast and lunch, but since I was just looking for a place to hang out for 90 minutes, I was going to be "minimal patron". I thought about another coffee, but decided against it, since I already had double the caffeine I usually consume before noon, I opted for the "cheapest" choice, in the form of a Perrier. Cha-ching and "ouch" and $3.74 later (OK it's CAD, but still), I'm left wondering whether I could have made a better choice: as in, a cookie and that bottle of water I had with me?

The coffee shop only had a few customers and service was friendly where my coffee was made at a reasonable time. I sat down to enjoy my coffee as well as enjoy the space. As the sunlight filtered through the big windows at the front, the brightness of the café filled me with happiness. Such a cute wonderful place to spend some time alone, with friends, or with family. I ate the muffin later in the day for snack and it was moist and delicious with hints of coconut that didn't overpower the other flavours of the muffin. Overall, a great new addition to the neighbourhood! Definitely will become a new favourite among the locals for sure.
