Delicious food, good service. Probably best calamari I've ever had and the bread was to die for.

Food came out very quickly, restaurant was about half full at the time. Service was fine but not over the top friendly, just to-the-point. Food tasted great, I am not portugese so dont have grandma's cooking to compare it to, but I really liked it. Tasted like home cooking to me. I will come back next time im in Bristol. Octopus stew was great, but you better like octopus because its just octopus, potatoes and broth.

Pork Bifana, por and clams and kale soup.

Cafe Central is a small place in downtown Bristol that has excellent food. Love eating there and getting take out as well.

The menu had some great choices but no prices. Not a big deal, as they are new and will probably be adding them eventually. I ordered the El Caprichoso Salad with grilled chicken breast and 3 beef empanadas. They said it would be about 20 minutes. It did take about 35 minutes, so I'm the future, I will order ahead of time. Everything is made from scratch and cooked to order so the extended time is understandable. The El Caprichoso salad was very good but...it came with yellow rice and not brown and there was no avocado. I didn't open it until I got to my parents house so I did not go back. I would definitely order it again but ensure that I check it before leaving. The beef empanadas were hand made with massa. They were so different than the empanadas that I have had in the past but I absolutely loved them. Before cashing out, they let me know they make desserts. Flan, Tres Leches, etc. I would definitely go back and maybe sit and eat there. There are only a few tables so I assume that they will get more once things start to get busier. Very fresh food, very good service. I'd recommend checking this place out if the menu interests you!

The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.

Our server was maybe overloaded as it was pretty packed. The drinks were ok. I feel like they are more of an overpriced novelty. I recommend wine instead. The food was also overpriced as well. I wish I took a picture of my salad. I got the wedge salad which was just two small pieces of lettuce which was also a quarter inedible. They charged me 30 dollars for a tiny "salad" that didn't even have all the ingredients/garnishes it was said to come with and the smallest slice of salmon I've ever seen. I was actually laughing at this. It took me all of 5 min to eat my "meal". The calamari was also soggy and imo not cooked well. The shrimp and corn fritters were sooooo good! I recommend them!

I found both at Andrade's. I always shop around, and Andrade's prices were great - significantly lower than anything I could find in the area. The lobsters were properly feisty and Nick was very helpful, selecting six two-pounders for us with equal-width tails. (Important for presentation!) I remove the claws, par boil them, and add the meat to the stuffing. (An old trick I learned from Jed Hanley's Fore 'n Aft back in the day.) Although the claws' shells were thick, and actually required a hammer to crack them, I don't think I've ever gotten so much meat. I also bought a pound of peeled and deveined shrimp and a pound of excellent, fresh and sweet scallops for the stuffing. This year's result was among the best I've made. Thanks to Nick, David and all the staff at Andrade's for your help. We'll see you soon.

The corn puree was not overly smoky but full of flavor, and the bacon added the flavor only bacon can. Best of all, this huge dish was $26. It was served with house-made fish sausage, rapini, some calabrian chilies, pangrattato (bread crumbs), and aglio e olio. The FISH SAUSAGE (who ever heard of such a thing!?!?) was the primary reason I ordered the gemelli. I just HAD to try it. And it was even better than I'd hoped: meaty and slightly spicy.
