Burrata cheese salad with a twist... bacon and watermelon? Yes! Clam chowder because when in New England is imperative to have it every day. Tuna poke and steak frites for entrees great choice as well.[[HIGHLIGHT]]service and ambience were grand[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thanks Bristol for the great culinary experience.

We find ourselves making an annual pilgrimage to Bristol in large part because of the Oyster Bar. Their 1/2 price raw bar happy hour and seasonal cocktails literally has us planning our stay around their hours and we make sure to be in town on a Wednesday or Thursday so we can enjoy their entire selection of oysters. The staff is always friendly and we have dined both inside and street side. I do like to sit at the bar and marvel at the amount of oysters their crew can shuck. Thief dinner menu has a nice selection of local produce, but to be honest I usually end up ordering a salad or the tacos because I have eaten 2 or 4 dozen oysters by the time we get around to ordering.

Cute little space, delicious and fresh local food, great service! They have a huge selection of local oysters and food from local farms and businesses. Just about every dish had really great and balanced flavor profiles!! So impressed! Awesome apps: OYSTERS CASINO: 6 aquidneck farm oysters topped with house bacon, focaccia breadcrumbs, and herb butter BRAISED PORK BELLY: gochujang glaze, caramelized baby bok choy, fried rice (amazing), and sesame brittle NATIVE CRAB & GUANCIALE ARANCINI: jonah crab meat, arborio rice, parmesan, crispy guanciale, adobo aioli, pickled shallot, and chervil Amazingggg entree: PAN SEARED FLUKE: with mushroom-parmesan risotto, wilted baby spinach, meyer lemon vinaigrette, and topped with fried parsley

    Tasty and fresh

Charming spot for a quick lunch. I enjoyed some delightful oysters shucked to perfection (no shells, intact with all their juices). The calamari app was plenty to share. A tad over seasoned with salt and a bit overdone, the corn meal batter was a nice touch. I can see that they would be tender if just taken out a little sooner. Had some fish tacos after reading reviews that they were fabulous. Some fried pieces of white fish were a somewhat soggy and lacked any crisp coating. The flavors were nice just lacked an interesting texture. The service was stellar. I might go back as the space was beautiful. Maybe an off day?

We drove to Bristol to see what we could find in the way of seafood and stopped here. The location is quite charming, and you can see the water a bit from the sidewalk seats where we sat. They take reservations, but they aren't required. We got the calamari for an appetizer - it was perfection with a little bit of jalapeño peppers thrown in. For our main food we got the special - fettuccini oysters with white sauce and the atlantic salmon. It was fresh, flavorful, and tastefully presented. The seafood is locally sourced, which not only provides the freshest food but also supports our neighbors. The ONLY negative was the lack of bread. All that delightful sauce at the bottom of the bowl with no way to keep it from going to waste, other than slurping the bowl like a child. Being on the sidewalk, there aren't too many people watching, so you could possibly get away with this... Afterwards we walked around (which I totally recommend doing... stop by Hotpoint Emporium down the street to admire and support local artwork...) and looked longingly at the pubs and eateries serving their customers bread - delightfully lightly toasted garlic buttered bread. If we only had bread, it would be absolute perfection. Would I return and recommend? Absolutely yes. Would I also stash a baguette in my purse? Also yes.

The service was slow. The oysters were tiny. The shrimp were $5/each. They charged .50 for the dipping sauce. Never again.

There were a few other tables and by the time we left it was picking up with an early dinner crowd. We had a lovely server named Jodi who was attentive & helpful. The windows were open so I am not sure if they have air conditioning but we were not too warm. The food was delicious! We got the Jerk burger, cooked perfectly, large portion! I might get the aoli on the side in the future it was just a tiny bit too much for me but really good! We had a side of plantains which were perfect & made the mistake of upgrading to salads on both. We should have done one with fries & one with side salad. Definitely worth checking out!

There's plenty of bike parking by the beer yard. It was a nice day so we wanted to sit outside and have a few beers in the Hog Island beer garden. Service was great. They were getting prepared for the busy season training some folks, and everyone was very friendly and hospitable. The beer garden itself was a huge grassy area with plenty of seating, a mix of picnic tables and regular tables with chairs. Despite it being right by the woods it didn't seem too buggy which was really nice. After hanging out a bit we decided to get dinner there. We were able to order food right at the beer garden and pick it up at the take out window. The food was awesome! We got a bowl of clam chowder, loaded tater tots, and the Rt 6 bacon cheeseburger with a side of greens. First, they're not messing around when they say 'loaded' tots! Some places put a sad little drizzle of cheese sauce on top, but theirs were thoroughly covered with a delicious beer cheese sauce, fresh bacon, and scallions. The clam chowder was great! Not too thick, lots of clams and clam flavor. And the burger was amazing! A nice, thick, juicy patty that was perfectly cooked, a really fresh brioche style bun with lots of flavorful toppings. We walked through the restaurant itself to use the bathroom and it seemed like they had a lot of seating, a nice bar, and a patio area. The only bathrooms being inside the restaurant was a little annoying, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll have some port-o-potties by the beer yard come the full fledged busy season. Overall a really nice time and we look forward to returning!

We made the rookie mistake of showing up without a reservation on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant was packed. The hostess, who was in training, handled the situation with such poise. She was warm, thoughtful, and transparent about the 45-minute wait, which we genuinely appreciated. What really set the tone, though, was Will. I later learned he was one of the owners, but you never would have guessed it. He wasn't standing back overseeing the dining room; instead, he was in it, working just as hard as everyone else. He welcomed us personally, empathized, and even offered us a cocktail while we waited. As we sat nearby, we watched him gently coach the hostess in training. There was humor, kindness, and encouragement, balanced with clear expectations: simple reminders like making sure every guest is greeted the moment they walk through the door. It was leadership by example. He carried himself with humility, intention, and a work ethic that he clearly models for his entire team. Watching those interactions made me appreciate the restaurant even before we sat down to eat. By the end of the meal, the wait didn't matter one bit. In fact, after experiencing both the hospitality and the food, we completely understood why the restaurant was full on a Tuesday night. The service was exceptional. I'll update this review once I remember our server's name because she absolutely deserves recognition. She was attentive, incredibly hardworking, and gracefully managed not only our table but the many families with children around us. The manager also stopped by to check on us, and it felt entirely sincere. The model started at the top and was clearly part of their ethos. They were so generous which is why we recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area! The food was every bit as impressive as the service. The shrimp cocktail featured some of the largest, freshest shrimp I've had in years--perfectly chilled and absolutely delicious. The oysters were impeccably fresh and beautifully presented. Every dish reinforced why New England seafood has the reputation it does. Great restaurants serve great food. Exceptional restaurants create a culture that guests can actually feel. This place does both. We'll absolutely be back--and next time, we'll be smart enough to make a reservation.
