What a darling bakery and lunch location! I am only visiting and our friends did mention how wonderful the breakfast is with the fresh croissants. The two gentlemen that run this place provide amazing food and crazy good customer service. Everything our group ordered was praised by each. The Cuban, the Turkey Club and the prosciutto and mozzarella (Just ask to add pickles to the last for something to cut up the richness). My husband and I were looking for a place to have lunch while we were out running errands on a Saturday afternoon. We first thought of the Beach House, but the traffic was heavy on Atlantic boulevard so we pulled into Houston's. Houston's had an hour wait so we ventured thru the neighboring plaza and came across Cafe Brie. We shared a bowl of house made borscht, which was served with fresh garlic bread - it was delicious. I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant and was pleasantly surprised to learn that the croissants were mere made on-site. My husband ordered the avocado caprese toast that was delicious. All of the food was freshly made and the vegetables accompanying the food were beautiful and tasty. After a nice dive in the ocean on an early Saturday morning, my wife and I yelped for breakfast and found Cafe Brie. Parking is easy and plentiful, right outside the restaurant. We sat outside. They had large fan running which made the summer temperature bearable, and actually quite nice. Care Brie is one of those places you can sit and relax. It's a small place, and with just the owners and maybe one other working, the experience was leisurely, but not in a bad way. In fact, I say the owners are the gems here. We had the Royal Omelette. While good, it wasn't bursting w flavor. Not sure why. I probably wouldn't order it again. The bagel that came with it was really good though. The mimosa I had was great as well as the cafe Americano they made. Would I return? Absolutely, and recommend you do. Will just try something new next time. read more

This place is great! My gf and I split the Cuban sandwich and the fig and goat. The fig and goat wasn't our first choice but the waiter recommended it so we got it. So now I RECOMMEND THE FIG AND GOAT. Usually when you think of goat cheese sandwich you may think of it being too overbearing with the goat cheese taste but this sandwich wasn't. It had a good balance of cheese and fig preserve that made it delicious. The bread also was cooked perfectly and all together made a delicious sandwich you wouldn't have known otherwise. The bread on the Cuban was different but still delicious. It was softer cooked as opposed to the more toasted bread most Cuban places have. How does this places Cuban beat Cuban sandwiches from actual Cuban places?? You'll have to come in and try for yourself! Overall, this place rocks and will definitely return in the future! Besides the good food, I have to add that the customer service was awesome! To be fair, I only went to Cafe Brie for take out, but I have to confess that I was pretty disappointed by this local, four and a half star rated establishment. After an afternoon at a nearby hair salon I went in at 4pm for a sandwich. I was starving and actually excited to try a new place with such stellar reviews. I ordered the Goat Cheese with Fig Preserves on Rosemary Bread. The server was friendly. I thought I might have heard him mention that it would take 10 minutes. 10 minutes for one sandwich? A little longer than I would have liked, but I was willing to wait for this highly accoladed sandwich. 25 minutes later I am still waiting.... and waiting. When I went up to the counter to ask about my order the staff said there had been 4 orders ahead of mine....and it still wasn't ready. I was ready to walk out. Only then did my sandwich get made. There was a recent Yelp talk thread that discussed reviewing places according the experience they are supposed to provide. So I will only take off one star for the horrendous service as this obviously is not a place for a quick bite. Even so, there is no way it should take 30 minutes to provide one sandwich, especially when it is at an off hour. The other stars are are taken off is because I thought the sandwich was terrible. The texture of this grilled cheese was mealy. There really wasn't enough cheese on the bread to go with the huge amount of bread. One bad sandwich however, does not necessarily close the gate on a restaurant for me. I know this place is Mom and Pop owned so I am rooting for them. There are a few other menu items that do look enticing. If in the area I would try Cafe Brie again to give them a chance to redeem themselves-but only if I had plenty of time to spare! read more

Wow what a quaint friendly establishment to grab breakfast, brunch, or lunch. My husband had the Cuban sandwich served with homemade potato salad and I had the two eggs with crepes. The food was delish!!! The crepe was light and airy just perfect! My latte was perfect as well, not everyone can make a great latte, but Cafe Brie hit the nail on the head!!!!! I love supporting local businesses and truly enjoy eating lunch at cafes. Cafes, for the most part, are always family ran, and done so with a lot of passion. This place was no different! Parking was super easy. The cafe is situated nicely in a shopping plaza strip with a lot of parking available. Which is nice, considering that a lot of places nearby only have street parking available. I decided to order an iced caramel macchiato, and The Fig and Goat Sandwich. The sandwich consists of two goat cheeses, creamy and solid, fig preserves, red pepper jelly, and bacon, all inside a rosemary focaccia bread. It also came with a small side of potato salad. The first few bites of this thing were crazy explosions of multiple flavors. The first flavor you get hit by is the sweetness from the figs, jam, and creamy goat cheese, followed by the savoriness from the solid goat cheese, and bacon, mixed with the herbaceous flavor of the rosemary focaccia. My goodness, it was delectable! The focaccia bread was extremely fresh and very flavorful. It had the perfect texture, crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. The bacon was cooked perfectly and added a nice crunchy filling to the sandwich. The goat cheese had a lot of substance and really hit my taste buds with a bang. Lastly, the preserves and jam acted as condiments, pairing perfectly with all the other flavors. I must say though, this sandwich was extremely rich. A little too rich for my taste buds. For $9.99 you get a pretty large sized sandwich. I definitely recommend splitting one sandwich with another person. I guarantee it will fill you up, which is very hard to do for $5.00 these days. I almost never leave food on my plate; but, I honestly could not get through the second half of this beast, even though I arrived fairly starved. Service was exceptional. There are only a few staff members, one being the owner I believe, yet they work very well together, communicating effectively, and servicing all the patrons inside and outside. Just so they're not left out, the iced caramel macchiato and side potato salad were very good. The potato's were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I would love to give 5 stars but I have to give 4. The sandwich packed some serious flavor and was undeniably delicious, but it was extremely rich and heavy. I'll definitely have to wait awhile to order it again. read more
