Outside of the food truck
Pooja S.

I had a craving for beignets and Cafe Bourbon St was recommended, and I'm so glad I tried it! This is a former food truck now in a permanent location I believe, and the food is made fresh to order! I arrived a little but before opening, and there were 2 other people waiting. The parking lot is quite big (and free!). This location at least is card only, no cash accepted. After placing my order, I waited ~20 minutes for the food to come out. I believe they ordinarily text you when your order is ready, but I never received a text but the worker came and handed me my food directly, which was very nice. The seating area is also very nice, and on a warmer day I'm sure would be a great place to sit. The shrimp was delicious, and the fries were well seasoned, on the soft side. My favorite part was the pecan praline beignets. They're a great texture, very light and not to sweet, with the praline sauce providing a great addition!

Visited Atlanta this passed weekend and I've been following this spot for a while and loved their content and decided to give them a try. Its ordered the jambalaya egg rolls and the 8 piece bourbon st wings and when I made it back to the Airbnb ready to eat I was disappointed!! For one my wings were still RAW and the egg rolls seemed like they were sitting out all day. I reached out via insta and was told that the crew at that particular location is a new staff and still in training and they will let them know an that I can go back the next day for a free 8 piece but at that point I just wanted a refund because I was just disgusted. I was told that I could get a refund but nothing happened. I tried supporting not just a black owed business but since the business owners are from my city I thought I'd support my ppl but try them out at your own risk.

The line to eat

This food truck in ATL is delicious. You'll find it in a food truck park at this address. Cafe Bourbon ALWAYS has the longest line. I'd recommend downloading their app and ordering ahead. When you get there just tell them your name and they'll make your food. It's like skipping the line. The food is great. If it's Sunday, I highly recommend getting the chicken and beignets. Otherwise, any of the wing meals are great. I love upgrading to the bourbon ranch fries for $1. Come early if you want to eat here. And enjoy the other food trucks around while you're there!

Being from Louisiana I was SUPER excited to find a piece of home in Atlanta. I went in with zero expectations and honestly I was surprised. The flavors of the food was amazing and were unique, I must admit. Truthfully the service, the entire set up, the music.. everything was nice! I'm not really sure what they are doing with that space but I definitely see potential for that place to offer a lot more in the future! My only downfall about this place is that my wings were cooked just a little bit to hard. I felt as if they were cooked really fast causing them to burn rather than to cook because the inside of my meat was a little pink. Unfortunately I had to throw the rest of my food away but on a positive note I was perfectly fine the next day. But after reading other reviews and seeing other photos I definitely want to try the chicken and beignets disregarding my previous experience with their chicken just to give them one more shot.

My girlfriend that lives in Georgia was taking me to the airport to pick up a relative who was flying in to hang with us for the weekend and we had some time to kill before her flight landed so we opted to grab a bit to eat. The plan was to go to a breakfast spot near the airport but the wait was close to two hours long so she told me about Cafe Bourbon St. She told me about how she tried their food previously based on their Instagram posts but because she lives close to an hour away, she tried the food when it was reheated and it just wasn't the same. Cafe Bourbon St is only opened on Fridays and Sundays from 1-6pm so on a Friday we arrived at 12:58pm and it was already a line coming outside of the area along the street. I just knew the food was going to be delicious. My family was due in at 1:55pm so I figured we had time to wait and get over to the cellphone lot before her plan landed but I was wrong. After waiting in line for 48 minutes to place an order I was committed. After placing my order I waited another 15 or so before my name was called to get my order. Thankfully it took my family some time to disembark the flight and get their bags from baggage claim so we had time to get to the cellphone lot and try the food. I will start off by saying the food was well worth the wait. I ordered the jambalaya egg rolls and Bourbon Shrimp Basket with Bourbon Fries and everything was very flavorful, filling, and with the money. I had enough to share with my family when they got in the car and their response was "this is a great way to be welcomed to Georgia"; "delicious food and personal pick up". I look forward to going back and trying something else on the menu. I definitely recommend this eatery.

You are seriously missing out if you have not consumed the magical goodness from this establishment. We got there at noon, and they open at 1pm. I rather be first in line then have to watch everyone leave with food while I'm still waiting. Also, they only have chicken and beignets on Sundays so I wanted to make sure I got to get some before they ran out. Everyone in line was very friendly. It definitely made the time go by fast. The owners are extremely nice and the customer service is top notch. Ok, the food!!! I ordered the bourbon shrimp and fries, the chicken and beignets. Let me pause because my mouth is watering from thinking about it. The fries are flavorful and have just a hint of cajun spice. The shrimp is seasoned to the gods and then they put this sauce on it that takes you to New Orleans as soon as you take a bite. The chicken is fried to perfection and the beignets are so authentically good. I will definitely be back. If you are behind me, you may get mad because I may order $2000 worth of food so you would not get any!!

Ever had something so good it almost brought tears to your eyes??? Well, that was my experience during a recent trip to Cafe Bourbon St. They're a food truck that serves New Orleans cuisine in Triton Yards on the west side of Atlanta. For now, they're only open on Friday's and Sunday's 1pm-6:30pm or until they sell out. Trust me, you definitely want to arrive early. A line formed around 12. (A whole hour before opening). I was the 10th person in line and didn't place my order until 1:15pm. I really had to practice patience! It was so hot outside and the food is cooked to order, so I had to wait again. We ordered the bourbon st. Shrimp basket with upgraded fries, jambalaya egg rolls and chicken & beignets. The flavors from the shrimp basket were explosive! Seriously, there's so much flavor going on from the bourbon sauce, seasoned fries and ranch. I wasn't sure what to expect from the jambalaya egg rolls, but they were delicious. My son said that his chicken and beignets were awesome. By the way, the chicken & beignets are only served on Sunday. I'm dreading having to wait in the line again, but I'm looking forward to returning. The staff was friendly and w

Cafe Bourbon street is one of the best food trucks in town! I will definitely say order ahead because the line can get very long. Just make sure you check in on arriving. Parking on the side street or lot is best options. The food is worth any wait though and you can't go wrong with adding dollar for bourbon ranch fries. If jambalaya egg rolls are in stock make sure to get them trust me! Also their bourbon wing basket is a very solid choice and a go to when I can't decide. Be prepared to not want to share!

Get there early! This food is worth it. My friends and I waited in line an hour and a half ( we were in the first 10 people there). I have heard so many good things about thhis place and they kept popping up on my Instagram so it was meant for me to go. They are only open on Fridays and Sundays. And Sunday is the only day you can get the chicken and beignets. So good. The beignets were a littLe more dense then I thought they would be but still good. Get the chicken and beignets if for nothing else other than too get the pecan praline sauce. The jambalaya egg rolls and the shrimp basket Try this place asap!!

I love to support local businesses and this particular vendor I discovered through IG. A few tips to assist patrons on a smooth and easy ordering experience are below. 1.) Download the Cafe Bourbon St. App 2.) Place your order on said App 3.) Check in with the host upon arrival Keep in mind this is a food truck and the food is cooked to order. Expect your wait time to be at least 30 mins, but faster if you order on the app. There is ample parking and a food truck park with lots of seating so that you and your party can sit back, relax and enjoy the sun or the shade. If you want some time to pass by quickly, order a snowball and by the time you finish that, your wait time should be half way. I wouldn't recommend visiting the food truck if you're in a hurry because again there is a wait. The only suggestion I'd make to the the owners and host would to provide a wait expectation for your patrons so customers know what to expect after they place their orders. Other than the wait, the food was delicious and I'll continue to support this business when I'm in the area. I ordered a Shrimp Po Boy and Cajun fries. The shrimp was well seasoned and the Cajun sauce elevated the flavor of the sandwich and fries. The owners and host were friendly and the waiting area was clean and tidy.

The food here was pretty good. There is one lady working and you get a side of rude for free. Man she was mean but I get it. It's hot and she's solo. Perhaps the new location is the better spot now but I won't be back to the food truck. That said, the food was worth a try.

Bourbon wings and fries

I came to this establishment because I saw that the ratings on Google were four stars out of five. As I pulled up I received great customer service and I was able to submit my order via iPad. I waited for my food for about 20 to 30 minutes. When I received my food, it looked best appealing , but it was disgusting. I had spent $55 and every single thing I ordered was horrible. The chicken wings were huge and the bourbon sauce tasted like regular barbecue sauce with a Touch Of honey. I didn't know if the wings were smoked or if they were supposed to be fried. The fries that came with my wings were soggy. It tasted more like the fries were baked. I also ordered the loaded fries. It was also terrible and was soaked in barbecue sauce or bourbon sauce. I am not sure. I also ordered the shrimp Po Boy. The shrimp had flavor, but the coding of the shrimp was soggy. The batter did not stick to the shrimp. That costed about $14 and it did not come with fries. It was definitely not worth $14. However, I did like that they used nice sized shrimp and they used enough shrimp to cover the bun. It may have been worth the $14 if it came with a side. I also ordered the original beignets and the cream cheese beignets. The dough was very thick and hard. It was so much dough. It lacked any flavor and there was no sweetness to the beignets. It should be hot and melt in your mouth. Definitely not worth the price. I mean, you only get 3. It was disgusting and I hate to say I literally spit it out. I would also like to add that everything I ordered wasn't hot. For me to have waited 30 minutes for my food, nothing was hot. I received all of my food and Styrofoam containers. Which means there should have been some type of heat damage to my Styrofoam containers. It was a disaster. I was upset and hated that I wasted my time and my money coming to this food truck. I'll never go back. Even with the points I earned. There was nothing New Orleans about it. Come to think of it. When you pull up to a food truck, you usually spell food cooking. I actually didn't notice any fragrance of food in the air. Maybe it was am off day for the cook. Nevertheless , I wouldn't recommend this place.

The waitress really hyped it up and I was excited to try but it ended up not being my cup of tea so I opted for the Roula Mule Ah which she said was a version of a Moscow Mule and those I like. She said she had to keep the drink at the original price although it was cheaper which was fine cause I want something I can enjoy. It probably had more to do with her tip which FYI, is already included in your bill. An automatic 20 percent. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try and she suggested a few items like the shrimp po boy, broccoli, chicken bites and étouffée. After reading a few reviews, I got the blackened catfish bang mi. It was good. Just a regular fish sandwich. The star of the show was the hush puppies. People raved about them in their reviews and they did not disappoint. They give a good serving of em too; like 10-12. And they're bite sized. If they were staying open, I'd definitely come back.

Upon his return to the East Coast, an obligatory visit was at the top of our list. When he told me the location, I immediately recognized West Village as an area. I walked too often when I lived in Vinings. With the area, medical facilities, opening, and several other new buildings, I missed the main entrance. That was my fault as I was aware of another entrance before that one and could have entered the area from that point. Made a U-turn and easily found D'Juan's. There was ample parking near the entrance, as well as spaces on the opposite side. Additionally, there is a parking deck for patrons of the area. Our focus was the Wednesday oyster special (@1.75 each) that included oysters topped with a specialty sauce. I am not sure if they were steamed, baked or roasted on a grill, but what I do know is that they were delicious. Bread came with the oysters and took me straight to experiences at popular oyster restaurants in New Orleans - truly authentic! The first dozen we ordered was quickly followed with a second order. I ordered the crawfish linguine and did request light sauce. My son ordered the turkey with rice, yams and collard greens. He was definitely missing the southern cuisine! He enjoyed his meal and had enough for leftovers. The portion of linguine was enough for two meals. I felt it was lacking something and our Server brought out a house seasoning that worked perfectly. The chef came by our table and I believe he was an owner as well, and inquired on how we were enjoying ourselves. When I mentioned my linguine, he brought additional sauce and paired with the seasoning was exceptional. Our server Tom was amazing! Ironically, he was a recent California transplant. He was attentive, charming, and provided detailed answers to our increase. I must point out that he was managing an entire section and was seamless in everything he did. I made sure to let the Chef know this when he made his rounds. Tom was especially helpful with our drink orders which included the Nola margarita and a traditional margarita. The Nola, margarita included Hennessy, Gran Marnier and lime juice. It had a subtle strong effect and was perfectly made. Due to the busy patio traffic, a fly had decided to partake in my son's margarita and Tom promptly replaced it. Excellent service with a smile! Lastly, I must complement the decor that truly embodied the Nola style. There was a large mask by the entrance, Mardi Gras related decor throughout and especially interesting statue near the restrooms. The restaurant was very busy for a Wednesday early evening, and the staff handled efficiently and effectively. Looking forward to returning for more oysters!

WHO DAT in Atlanta!…read more As a lifelong New Orleans Saints fan living in the Atlanta area, I genuinely appreciate finding an official Saints bar that actually pairs the game-day atmosphere with New Orleans-style food. The Po'Boy Shop in Decatur does exactly that. I had visited before and tried a few different po'boys to go, and they were great, but this time I decided to stay and watch the Saints game. That completely changed the experience for me. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for--Saints fans, good energy, football on the TVs, New Orleans food, and a crowd that was actually invested in the game. It felt like a legitimate gathering spot for the Who Dat Nation rather than simply a restaurant that happens to show football. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and once again, the po'boys delivered. It's hard to beat watching the Saints with other fans while eating a good New Orleans-style po'boy hundreds of miles away from Louisiana. What I appreciate most is that The Po'Boy Shop gives Saints fans around Atlanta a place that actually feels like our spot on game day. Win or lose, that kind of atmosphere makes watching the game more enjoyable. Good food. Great staff. Great atmosphere. And plenty of Saints energy. I'll absolutely be back--especially on game days--and highly recommend The Po'Boy Shop to anyone looking for New Orleans-style food or fellow Saints fans searching for a home away from the Dome in the Atlanta area. The sweet and savory combination with the ham, egg, and cheese worked really well. The potatoes were good too, and between those and the croissant, the meal was surprisingly filling. I ate breakfast and stayed full for basically the rest of the day, which almost never happens for me. I would absolutely come back, especially if I can get my hands on the bacon next time!

It was a Saturday night but we were a little on the earlier side for dinner so the wait was less than 30 minutes. WELL worth the wait! The atmosphere is fun and casual. Many people were celebrating birthdays with large parties. We ordered the seafood fondeaux based on my friend's recommendation and it was excellent. I ate way too much for sure but it was hard to stop! I ordered the Chicken Ooh La La with angel hair pasta and added on a side salad. I tried the ginger citrus (house) dressing and wasn't sure what to expect but I was very pleased. Not overpowering ... perfect mix of ginger and citrus. The Chicken Ooh La La was excellent as well and needless to say I took most of it with me. My husband ordered the Poo Boy (half portion) with fries. He said it was excellent as well and the half portion was just enough. Service was excellent as well. The young lady that waited on us was super friendly and accommodating. The staff also comes around in NOLA fashion and throws beads on you which was a fun experience. I would definitely return to Henry's but for now I look forward to my leftovers tomorrow!

When I saw they now offer an oyster night on Wednesdays, I decided to give it a try. As a South Louisiana girlie, hearing zydeco music playing as I walked up instantly set the tone. It added a touch of home and fit perfectly with the Louisiana aesthetic they are going for. It was a welcoming start. I have visited before and was previously let down by their Boulevard location, so I walked in hopeful but realistic. The oysters were a dozen for fifteen dollars, which is a great price. Once they arrived, I understood the cost. The seasoning and flavor were truly good, but the oysters themselves were extremely small and a bit tough. The meat was tiny and often stuck to the adductor muscle, which took away from the experience. I also ordered a side of corn. Unfortunately, it was a zero out of ten for me. The cobs had no flavor and were served with only a bit of fake butter and crab boil pooling at the bottom of the plate. I did not finish them. On a brighter note, I tried the Zulu Punch from the happy hour menu. For five dollars, it was a solid drink and definitely worth the price. I will probably return because there are menu items I do enjoy. I just know that the next time I come here specifically for oysters, I will need to lower my expectations.

Order your food from the electronic kiosk, and the server will deliver it to your table. I enjoyed the live dj and karaoke on Saturday night. A little pricey, but comparable to other nearby restaurants.
