I door dashed an order of turkey wings and rice, collard greens, and potato salad. They did not give me my potato salad, the rice and the turkey wings were both undercooked. I was introduced to this "Atlanta " staple in the heart of the west side. Here is my review! The gps will bring you directly to the small plaza so slow down so you don't have to come to a hard stop to turn! There is Also plenty of free parking in this small parking lot so no worries on parking fees! The line for food is similar to that of a lunch line. All the "cooks"/staff are friendly but definitely gives the lunch line check out ambience. There are a few seats for you to sit in the back but for the most part it's ran like a in and out type of establishment. The meal is set the same daily as I've been 3 times and no difference in menu was present. Also, the drink does not come with the meal but you can purchase it and deserts separately. Now the food- quality was not to my liking. Green beans tasted canned, the chicken was good. The homemade gravy and stuffing was nasty to me. Kinda disappointing if you had your mouth set on authentic southern soul food. This is truly my opinion. Maybe your tastebuds will be open to the flavors but for me it was giving bland! Arrived today at 3.30 pm march 2nd 2025..after someone suggested i give this establishment a review..the restaurant environment was friendly , staff was a much older group,.no teenagers...it being a Sunday, noticed a lot of elderly, and church people entering the restaurant..the decor was pleasant, restaurant was clean..i decided to try the Salisbury steak dinner combo, which came with 2 side dishes, for $14.00 dollars..i chose the mashed potatoes,and dressing...i also purchased a small side order of sweet potatoe suffle and , 'potato salad..my total without a drink was $22.00 dollars, .plus i left a .$3.00 dollar tip....while being served the dressing, i asked for some cranberry sauce, which was only about 1 foot reach from the gentleman preparing my order...he replied the cashier would give me the cranberry sauce..while paying for the food, i again asked for cranberry sauce, the cashier stated ok..i will give you some..left the restaurant, arrived at my residence..well..No cranberry sauce was in the bag...Food Taste....the dressing was good, however no cranberry sauce , was provided...the sweet potato suffle was not good, it was over saturated with cinnamon, not really sweet and definitely missing butter...the corn bread was ok..the mashed potatoes were definitely instant, but acceptable..the potatoe salad was good..the Salisbury steak was ok..the meat was a little bit on the dry side...Desert, the small sweet potato pie i purchased was nasty..it was bitter, not sweet, and the crust was dry...customers, informed me that the previous owners, 2 twins,recently sold the restaurant, and the food is not the same quality, as before..the price was fair, however the customer service and food quality needs,improvement....i will return and do updates on additional meal purchases.. read more

However, the line was at the door consistently, and my favorite thing was the tilapia fish cooked fresh to order and of course, as many people have said their prices are really good for the area. Welcome back to breakfast Q Time. Thanks for giving us a second chance with AM hours. I first move to the West End in 96. A lot of things have change in the West End. Thankfully, Q Time remains a consistent neighborhood staple. Closed on Monday's, breakfast only on the weekends, this is a great place to get a home cooked meal all day long. The staff is more than friendly- they remember you. And genuinely greet a plethora of regulars with the same cheer they greet first timers. Can I cook? Yes. But for $10 or less why not stop here? Stopped by this place from randomly passing it and not wanting fast food. What a pleasant surprise! The dressing was old and dry the chicken gravy was so water. My best friend lives in Atlanta and told me we had to try this place right around the corner from her house, I'm always down for good home cooking so I was all in. We were greeted as soon as we walked in with joy. The place is small and food is already prepared so you head up to the counter and order. Of course we got the baked chicken deal which included dressing, two sides and a corn muffin for $6.50 - $7 even if you have cash. People who got our food were pleasant and took great care to make our plate perfect, gravy on the chicken and the corn muffin separated so it didn't get soggy. Overall, great food, great price - not salty but seasoned! Lima beans were so flavorful and I'm not a big Lima bean fan. Cabbage and dressing lovely. Green beans were ok. July 22, 2024 I ordered two pork chops green beans and mac and cheese and corn muffin. I noticed flies in the crust of the peach cobbler. Instead of the server throwing it out she covered it. That should have been a red flag for me not to pay for my order. Once I ate a little bit of my food when I reached home I had stomach problems that instance and today. The food here is down right good. My realtor told me about the restaurant. The restaurant is located in the west end of Atlanta. It's a L shaped building in a small parking lot. It's easy to find. It's a family owned business and they treat you that way. The restaurant is a cafeteria style with some booths and tables. The dining room is small and There's a restroom inside. The ordering line usually wraps around the small dining room making it uncomfortable for a customer who wants to dine in. The restaurant is clean. I had the Q-Time special,roasted chicken,cornbread dressing,broccoli casserole and sweet potato soufflé. The dressing is my favorite!! The sweet potato soufflé was too spicy. Too much cinnamon or nutmeg?? The chicken had gravy drizzled over the. My son ordered the barbecue wings, macaroni and cheese and green beans. He enjoyed the macaroni and cheese,the green beans were OK. There cabbage is good and the potato salad too. The prices are reasonable and you get your money's worth. The entire staff is friendly and delivers great customer service. They all greet you when you come in and apologize for the wait and thank you for your patience. I was in town for a couple of days and wanted some soulfood and this place popped in a search while in the area. The parking lot was a little tight but there were no fees. There was no inside dining due to COV-19, but it does have a small dining are. The service was caff. with options dinner plates or al a cart (build your own plate) and self service on drinks. Now let's talk about the food! I was not disappointed with any of my options. We ordered 2 chicken wing dinners with Mac and cheese and greens, the whiting diner with Mac and string beans the smothered pork chop and a mini sweet potato pie and peach cobbler, all meals came with cornbread muffin and drink. The chicken and fish were fried perfectly and tasted really fresh. My partner and goddaughter felt it was a little under seasoned. The pork chop was the star for me out of all the proteins. The Mac and cheese was awesome, the greens and string beans were ok, they tasted like they either were over cooked/worked or canned. The corn bread muffins went straight to the garbage after first bite (hatted it). The sweet potato pie was to be expected, good and traditional and the peach cobbler got mixed reviews, everyone enjoyed it but one felt it had too much crust and not enough filling but one loved the fact that it was a lot of crust. Q Time is a family-owned restaurant serving up Southern cafeteria food. Depending on what time of day you visit you may not find a seat. No worries if you're not cliqued up with the ROTC, preps, jocks, Asian nerds, cool Asians, unfriendly black hotties or band geeks. It's not because of "Mean Girls" cafeteria politics. It's just that there are only four booths and two tables so seats fill up quickly. Finding parking during peak hours can also be hard since there are only 30 or so spaces in the entire strip mall lot. At least getting your food is painless whether you're dining in or carrying out. Step 1: Grab a cafeteria tray and plastic utensils and enter the u-shaped line. (Allot 20 minutes to accomplish Step 1 if you go Sunday after church.) Step 2: Choose a meat entrée. (Vegetarians skip to Step 3.) Step 3: Pick two sides or order a veggie plate. They have a dozen soul food standards like greens, beans, sweet potato casserole, mac & cheese and cornbread dressing. A cornbread muffin will be placed on top. Step 4: Decide on a dessert. Cobbler or banana pudding are available and they have pre-boxed cake slices in assorted flavors (red velvet, strawberry, key lime, etc.) Step 5: Fill a Styrofoam cup with tea or a fountain drink. Step 6: Pay at the end of the line. The cashier will bag your takeout order for you. Even though they have a huge menu board posted overhead it's just a formality. All of the items are in steam trays right in front of you so you can get what looks good. I've visited several times and the food is more hit than miss. The baked chicken is consistently good...tender and well-seasoned. Many of the green vegetables have a unique herb seasoning that I enjoy. The sweet potato casserole is delicious even if stringy. The mac & cheese is consistently flawed though. It's the thirstiest looking mac I've ever seen...not even a trace of cheese sauce on the elbows. The cornbread dressing is a bit dry too but improves with a spoonful of golden gravy. But ultimately, it's hard to beat the price for the portion of food they serve. They even offer a 10% discount to students, senior citizens 62 years of age and older, military personnel and members of the fire and police squads. For the cost of a drive thru order (under $10), you get a plate full of homestyle Southern favorites. I wouldn't cross county lines for Q Time but the value makes it worth a stop if you're nearby. read more
