Sleepily meandered to Cafe Blameless in Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood (9/23/26). Today is their first day of their soft opening. I admit I had lived in Ravenna several years and this is my first visit to this lovely, fully restored site.
First impressions was *wow this is absolutely amazing* with the high ceiling, windows, wookwork, and the variety of seating configurations. This is truly meant for cultivating community and being a genuine third space.
Street parking is available, but may be challenging being proximate to a school. It is also a little bit off the beaten path, but a pleasant walk from the main arterial of 35th or 65th in Ravenna/Bryant.
I ordered a 16oz mocha, which was crafted with choice of milk and chocolate from Cocoa Legato. I liked the cross pollination collaboration with another local indie from their bean to bar location in Greenwood.
Cards are taken at their counter POS. Welcoming demeanor from the counter person/cafe owner.
I look forward to additional sweet & savory baked goods, in addition to the Ellenos yogurts (another indie) I saw in the refrigerated case. I was told that flatbreads and specialty croissants will be forthcoming from Radiant Flavors, another indie from the Bitter Lake neighborhood.
Additional folks have arrived and remained onsite or took beverages to go. Definitelly condusive for meetups and focused work. I also saw a piano on the elevated level. I was told that there is another group that host jazz music and dancing. The venue has room for various possibillities like pop ups, artist openings, seasonal bazaars, and the like. Overall decent vibe for being onsite...like how did nearly two hours fly past!
A terrific addition to the neighborhood. read more
