Egg salad sandwich and chicken pozole combo

What a gem! I'm so glad I was in the area and looking for lunch. The owners are so kind and the food is delicious! I got the half sandwich half soup, egg salad sandwich and chicken pozole -- SOO GOOD! And so fairly priced especially in Beverly Hills. This will be my go to from now on whenever I'm in the area. The menu is huge! And while I was there, they had many regulars come in, which is a good sign IMO!

Very low quality food. Unacceptably low. Cheap ingredients, stinky greasy oil. Most definitely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their health. This little nook is located on the first floor of a big building packed with medical offices where I'm sure many come for lunch from. I was here for breakfast burritos twice and regretted both times. I didn't even finish the food during my second visit. Half of the burrito went into garbage. Going to give them an extra star for the girl at the register being extremely polite but that's where any good feedback stops. Sorry, Never again.

Food is delicious and the service if phenomenal. One of the best cafes is Beverly Hills. The owner is so friendly and personable, she can provide recommendations which you can't go wrong with any item on the menu. I have been coming here for 2 years straight during my lunch break. They are the best

I'm so over this over priced place. Cafe Alexander is one of those work restaurants that are pricey and low quality but you pay because that's the only place in the building to go. This place is so not worth it. I would at least hope they had decent food for what they charge. 1st the lady at the front is not pleasant at all. She picks and chooses who she wants to be pleasant to. 2nd you can not tweak anything on the menu. I was told I HAD to have eggs in my breakfast burrito or the burrito wouldn't close. So you mean to tell me most of the burritos are out for vegans? Girl what? Then I order a scramble with cheddar cheese. The literally sprinkle the tiniest amount onto the scramble. 3rd. They say they charge $1.50 for 1 can of soda (which is already ridiculous), then at check out they tax a can of fucking soda and it comes to $1.59. I'm so over this place and I rather do the walk to Mickey Fine's. Also they used to put two hash brown in the scramble. Now its 1 but still the same price. They seriously need to get over themselves. **Update. Found hair more than half way through my scramble. I'm over it.***

I ordered a vanilla latte with soy and $6 later could barely choke it down due to the intense burnt flavor. Do not bother!

This place has been such a staple in hollywood and it's always good. I love that they change the menu to try new things but also keep some of the old goodies. Today i tried the new broccoli dish and the steak frites with salad . So so so good!! Sauce on the steak was fantastic. The fries were excellent . I'm not a French fry person (i don't order because i try to stay away from fried food) and it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - seasoned perfectly and pairs well with the aioli sauce. The eggs and morning plates are some of my favorite things here for breakfast and i love their croissants and cookies!! The chicken Caesar wrap is a huge hit and i know the Gen Z's love this according to my younger sister lol. I feel like you can't go wrong here, always something for everyone. We've brought friends and family here over the years and we'll always continue to do so. The service is also super friendly . I love that they expanded to the side walk because the wait times used to be even crazier when it was just the patio . I remember sooo well. Love the expansion. I know there's more changes and new things to come as time progresses and we'll be here to see it :)

Im big breakfast burrito girlie and heard about the famous dialogue breakfast burrito. However, being that I'm not a huge fan of sausage, I went with their brisket verde burrito (excellent swap). Good amount of beef briskets, soft scrambled eggs, and hash with cilantro and diced onion bites. The green sauce it comes with was just phenomenal. If you're not a bacon and sausage person like myself, you must try the brisket breakfast burrito here. Excellent!!! Topped it with the honey sage cloud match (very good). Made with A2 milk. Love the hint of sage note. Definitely a come back spot for sure. Bringing my other pup along the next time.

I enjoyed one more happy hour and one more early dinner before they closed for good…read more During the HH, I had the truffle french fries and the pepperoni pizza. Fries were good this time, but I would go without the pizza in the future. On their final opening night I arrived too early; forgetting that dinner didn't start for an hour so I had the fries (again) while waiting for dinner. Thankfully, the order was put in a little earlier and I was able to enjoy the Penne alla Vodka. I was on the fence about the 20-Layer Cake but I ended up caving in, getting it to go for later. Unlike the first time I got this, they now had a perfect, custom box for the slice to fit whereas before they had to cut the cake in half to fit it into the box they had at the time. I know the New York location has delivery/to-go only, but there is still the Las Vegas one. Sad to see this place close down, as the location seems to be a curse for so many places (Hamburger Hamlet, Rivabella, Roku, now Lavo...).

During my foodie relatives' Thanksgiving week visit to Honolulu, we were discussing making…read morerestaurant reservations for our upcoming Christmas/New Year visit to Los Angeles. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.

It's warm, it's fun, it's intimate, it's delightful. Flavors are out of this world for eats including our favorite dish, their Pad Thai. Portions are average to moderate depending on the dish. The Pad Thai always seems to be on the medium-ish side, but good portions non-the less. Just about every dish can be made vegan friendly as well. Gluten free and nut free offerings as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it feels very open air inside with tons of green plants and those open doors to their patio. Full bar with incredible libations, including less common beverages with Mezcal and cool Liqueur. All day breakfast available. Enjoy brunch and brunch cocktails on weekends. Enjoy Starters/Shareables, Salads & Bowls, Smoothies, Stone Oven Pizzas (available with Vegan Mozzarella or Cashew Ricotta options for dairy free folks, GF dough option dough also available), Entrees, Cold Pressed Juice, Coffee, Lattes, Sodas, Teas and Baked Goods. Family friendly, kids menu available. Dog friendly. Gender neutral restroom and the coolest handwashing vanity area with more plants :) Parking choices range from valet to local garage or street. We were in a garage at an event close by so opted to stay there and walk exactly one block over. Everything is fairly reasonable, including great deals on their weekday happy hour 3pm to 6pm, featuring $12 Draft Cocktails, $10 glasses of wine, $7 draft beer and a small variety of Bar Snacks. I have been to their Venice location on Abbot Kinney Blvd and the vibes are similar, but more beachy and crowded. Both take reservations and I definitely recommend on weekends and end of the weeknights. Definitely team The Butcher's Daughter - West Hollywood. Be back soon :)
