Rude service. Walked in at 10:30am for breakfast had one person ahead of me. I wanted breakfast my turn came and they said there is no more breakfast. Five minutes later the person ahead of me got his breakfast. I couldn't believe one person ahead of me could have breakfast and I got denied. We appreciate the friendliness, consistency and the value. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside features several tables and a communal table with some stools. The outdoor area is made up of the front patio which features a few tables. Breakfast wise they have some various scrambles, omelettes, some various pancake dishes, burritos, sandwiches and some other items. For lunch they have various salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, melts, a few pastas and some other items. They usually feature some kind of special too. I've stuck to their sandwiches, fries and their soups mostly. All have been too good to pass up. They're only open M-F I believe from 7am-4pm. read more

What a gem! I'm so glad I was in the area and looking for lunch. The owners are so kind and the food is delicious! I got the half sandwich half soup, egg salad sandwich and chicken pozole -- SOO GOOD! And so fairly priced especially in Beverly Hills. This will be my go to from now on whenever I'm in the area. Very low quality food. Unacceptably low. Cheap ingredients, stinky greasy oil. Most definitely will not be back and do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their health. This little nook is located on the first floor of a big building packed with medical offices where I'm sure many come for lunch from. I was here for breakfast burritos twice and regretted both times. I didn't even finish the food during my second visit. Half of the burrito went into garbage. We stopped in here whilst in town and both got the chicken Caesar wrap with fries well done. Hubby got iced tea I got an iced dirty chai. Drinks good. Food good- the fries were honestly amazing we both concur amazing fries especially when well done- and the chicken in the wrap was really good too alongside the lettuce, cheese, tomato, and Caesar dressing. The wrap itself was thin yet delicious- slightly different consistency than I'm used to but in a good way (healthier- tasty) To get there you have to walk into the surgical building and walk down the hallway and it's to the right. Mom & Pop hidden gem. Came in for a quick coffee, I hate places like Starbucks because it's focused on quantity & quickness instead of quality & control. This spot is chill, fast & all things quality. The lady in the front, knew everyone's orders before they could even say anything, at 8:15 in the morning the kitchen & her handled the morning rush with ease! She picks and chooses who she wants to be pleasant to. 2nd you can not tweak anything on the menu. I was told I HAD to have eggs in my breakfast burrito or the burrito wouldn't close. So you mean to tell me most of the burritos are out for vegans? Girl what? Then I order a scramble with cheddar cheese. The literally sprinkle the tiniest amount onto the scramble. 3rd. They say they charge $1.50 for 1 can of soda (which is already ridiculous), then at check out they tax a can of fucking soda and it comes to $1.59. The owner is a nasty human being. I used to come to here every day and today I came and didn't have cash, I just had my CC and they wouldn't accept my credit card because the order wasn't over $5. My co workers and I come here every day, well did. We will not be anymore. Our office is down the street. News Flash it's 2018 and everyone pays with CC. Get with the program or go out of business. I came in for a couple breakfast sandwiches and I could immediately tell that they were very busy. They work quickly but not rudely, and there is a big difference. I ordered a breakfast avocado croissant and I will certainly be coming back for it again! I also ordered a regular breakfast bagel sandwich and it was definitely good too but the breakfast avocado sandwich is the real winner if you like anything of the sort. They are always messing up our orders, small and big, and when we call to complain SHE HANGS UP CONTINUOUSLY. Today we found a HUGE BUG in our Mango Salad and Lauren claims, "We are lying and did that on purpose to get our money back." I have pictures to prove it. People should never eat here again unless you would like bugs with a side of asshole for lunch! ***She forgot half of my food 2 days ago and after waiting for more than an HOUR for the rest of my food I called to ask for a refund. That is when her and her employees continuously clicked on me and after 10 calls or more I had to leave work to go there in person and get my refund. I'm so delighted I found this little place! Sitting on the south side of Wilshire Blvd, a few blocks east of Robertson is a little cafe you could easily miss. Cafe Alexander is set back away from the sidewalk, its outdoor tables shaded by trees. For all intents and purposes this might as well be one of your standard office cafes. It is humble and unassuming. The inside holds a modest few comfortable tables (although electric outlets are numerous - essential for the laptop crowd), and a jug of ice water for self-serve. I stopped by once while on a walk expecting nothing impressive. But the coffee was very good. To be sure it was not gourmet, but I found it fresh and flavorful. So on the next go-round I decided to try their breakfast sandwich with sourdough bread, cheddar cheese, and bacon. It was perfect! Again, nothing fancy, no adornments of exotic herbs nor rustic bread, but very nicely put together and exactly the kind of comfort food I was in the mood for. Now I'm a regular. They clearly do a hopping business, with several bicycle delivery boys bustling around this busy commercial district. They have daily specials and a very nice array of regular menu items for breakfast and lunch. The staff our very kind and personable. My coworkers order Café Alexander quite often here at the office. Their "omelet your way" is the best item to order. For the most part they deliver very quickly, and their delivery guys are great. Yesterday I ordered 3 breakfast burritos and 2 breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were perfect. They had the perfect amount of bacon and the bread was toasted to beautiful golden brown. So today, I ordered 4 breakfast sandwiches. And what a huge embarrassing disappointment. After raving to our clients about how great the sandwiches were, I had to feed them four sloppy egg sandwiches on raw bread with no bacon. They looked horrible and they tasted so plain. I cant believe the inconsistency. And this breakfast counted. I was trying to do something special for these clients and I had to feed them a horrible mess. Lesson learned. I wont ban this café, but I will definitely be very specific when I order. I cant have this happen again when I'm hosting an important breakfast meeting. read more
