Slavic wine and Czech Beer

Classy music playing Ottmar Liebert, an empty restaurant an hour before closing on a weeknight and delicious food with an attentive host/server. Sounds like a perfect weeknight date spot to me! Cheese was delicious and shell crispy. Meat well seasoned and cooked. Ajvar was nicely done as well. Good value for money and reminds me of food from visits to the Balkans! Would go again next time in town.

I was looking forward to coming back since my return. The food did not disappoint. I would say this is probably the best Bosnian place I know or have eaten in the Houston area. The menu is pretty much the same or consistent to what was there before I left. A couple fail safe choices I would recommend to anyone for their first visit is their CEVAPCICI and their Burek. Other recommendations is their Sarma and Japrak. Most Bosnian dishes are beef and protein forward dishes so get ready to exceed your protein intake for the day. All the options are very healthy, either grilled or don't have an excess high starch / fatty additives. They have a good assortment of wine dishes to choose from and would also recommend adding any of their coffee choices. I should have asked what beans they use but the taste is rich and smooth and doesn't have the overheated bitter taste to it either. Overall I would suggest for all to definitely come and try any if not most of the options they offer.

Whoa, Bosnian flavor jackpot. We got the large platter to share to try everything, European wine and beer, and their cheese burek, and wow... my taste buds are still throwing a party. The cheese burek? Flaky, cheesy, and dangerously comforting. The platter? A symphony of flavors that are very protein forward and a little taste of Bosnia. Drinks? Smooth and the perfect complement to the meats. Easy to make reservations via OpenTable. Service was attentive. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and want to try a different cuisine.

Yum!!!

Great Bosnian cuisine. Try the Sakavci....Bosnian meatballs served over pasta. The Cevapcici sandwich, I got the large, traditional Bosnian style grilled beef links served on a tasty lepinjas bread...yum. The Turkish style coffee is great and don't forget to try a dessert. Amazing people work here, they made us feel right at home. We had excellent service from Maria. And we had a wonderful visit with the owner, Kamal. Some of the best food in Houston. You've got to check this place out. Don't forget to try the mouth watering desserts and the Turkish coffee!

Love the vibes here The food was great. The hummus was one of the best I had. The portion was big. Price wise, it was reasonable considering the serving size. Oh and The service was great

Hummus was tasteless. Bread was so greasy. Meat was hard lumps of semi raw gristle. Salad was not dried so a puddle of water in bowl. The worse meal I have ever had

Just wanted to say, first time eating Bosnian food and I love it. Service was amazing and the Turkish coffee was delicious. Can't wait to come back on Friday.

Amazing little restaurant with Bosnian and Croatian food. They also have traditional Turkish coffee!! Everything was freshly made to order. Loved the stuffed pljeskavica sandwich. Service is great!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambience made the experience even better. Maria provided outstanding customer service--she's so kind, welcoming, and truly makes you feel at home. I'll definitely be coming back

Owner was welcoming. Best hummus ever. Lamb chops were amazing, and I don't care for lamb.

I AM HEARTHBROKEN TO HEAR THAT BISTRO LE CEP HAD PERMANENTLY CLOSED!!! This was one of my favorite…read morerestaurants for the past 25 years!!! They always had good quality, delicious food and great service: since the day they've opened until the day they've closed!!! There were many dishes that I have enjoyed only here: rabbit in an amazing mustard sauce, wild boar with plum sauce, their sauerkraut and Spaetzle were always delicious, their avocado and crabmeat salad always good..... They had waiters that worked in the establishment for 30+ years (I know several of them worked in Rotisserie for Beef and Bird before Le Cep was opened). The waiters, the owner and all the staff were always friendly and efficient. I wish the owners all the best and hope they are well!! I am just so, so sad - I have wonderful memories of time spent there with family, friends and my late husband (who passed away 7 years ago). Bistro Le Cep and its people will be greatly missed!

Ordered the french onion soup which I have been wanting to try. I also got the caesar salad,…read morewhich has the parmesan cheese and as a bonus- a pat of goat cheese, which was delicious. The dressing was great and represented.100%. To wash it all down, some Californian pinot noir. Overall, it was tasty and pricey, like all well made French things lol. Service was great, friendly, and attentive. Ambiance is cozy, with many well set tables and booth/table combos.
