It does come as a single link, but it's perfectly portioned for an average breakfast and leaves you feeling full and satisfied without being overly heavy. My husband ordered the country fried chicken and really enjoyed it. The portion size on his plate was especially generous. Of course, we had to try the pancake flight--it was delicious and just the right amount. I love having a variety without feeling overwhelmed. One small note: I ordered a regular drip coffee and found the price a bit steep $5, especially since it only includes one refill--so definitely be sure to ask for it to get your money's worth. Overall, this is a spot we'll absolutely keep coming back to!

When I was handed a bag and asked if I could eat in, one employee looked to the other, who replied "I guess" -- as if my staying was an imposition. I've been sitting here and haven't been offered so much as a glass of water. To top it off, I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out with a fully hard yolk. A small detail, but it matters -- especially when the rest of the experience is already falling short. Hard to recommend when both the service and the food miss the mark.

Fast Forward to this past weekend, the Husband and I wanted a simple breakfast after the gym and Rocky's had popped into my head. Definitely a staple in the Waipahu community, this cozy coffee shop sits on Waipahu Depot Street right outside of the Waipahu Festival Market. The area can get ridiculously busy so if you can, park on the street instead of in the Lot. You will have a hard time getting in and out once the surrounding Businesses open. I'm assuming where you're sitting will determine the type of Service you get. We sat at the Counter, and while we were very entertained with watching them cook orders, we were a bit neglected by the Staff, while the parties at the regular tables were presented with friendlier and more patient Servers. We waited over 15mins to get our order taken and since I guess they thought we were regulars they kept rushing to take our orders while we weren't given Menu's. We pulled the Menu up on Yelp lol. Food was standard. I really loved the fried rice! but the Hash was passable, it was too mushy for my liking. Also, our order of pancakes came 20mins after we finished eating, I wish i were kidding, We kept trying to flag down Aunty to cancel but she was very frazzled cooking, taking orders, and filling orders so we just waited. At the end we spent $60 including tip and left with a Hoo-Hum experience. Although I know for certain I just don't have the greatest of luck with this place, I am so happy they are still around and very much thriving! Places like this, that make Hawai'i so great are slowly shutting their doors so I do have a very great appreciation for their hard work and resilience through the many years.

You walk in and there's a quaint dining room that probably seats 25 or so. The main centerpiece of the interior, set off to stage left of the shot is the 10 foot hot, flat grill! The smells that are coming from there can't be summed up in words. Sure, I can tell you what the meats they were but it's more about the feelings they conjured up. Rows of bacon, squished under a cast iron press. Hash browns sizzling to the perfect crisp. Fluffy eggs forming their shape. All the auntys there are so nice. You can tell they've been working there for years. They know the menu by heart. Service the way it used to be done! All the people eating there have the same spots that they always assume when they come. And if you stay long enough, or come at the right time, you watch the crowds change. The early crowd features the kupunas. They read their papers. Listen to the radio. Talk about bus schedules. The later crowd has the younger generations. Adults with baby faces and babies. The generation that had grown up eating here. Prices aren't the best, but it takes a lot to keep a place like this open. So PLEASE... come and eat. Enjoy the flavors that can only be made made from a grill that's cooked meats for decades, the same way. And always remember, though the flavor is unforgettable, it's more about the moments that you're sure to have that you'll never forget at a place like this! A must visit. MUST KEEP ALIVE!

From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted and sat down. It was quiet and very peaceful, which I am a HUGE fan of. I hate being in loud overcrowded places so this was already very appealing to us. After reviewing their menu, we were impressed by the choices and the prices. I ordered the loco moco and my boyfriend ordered the Famous fried rice omelette, along with a side of banana pancakes. The food came out within 10 minutes maybe less and the portions were massive! I'm quite picky when it comes to loco mocos because most places don't make them well enough. Usually the friend rice is plain, the patty is overcooked and the gravy is flavorless. HOWEVER, the fried rice was incredible to start, the patty literally melted in my mouth and the gravy was flavored very well and had the perfect amount of salt. If I'm being honest, that was the best loco moco I've eaten at a restaurant ever! My boyfriend's omelette was super good, he had the same fried rice I did and the egg was cooked perfectly. Pancakes were an absolute chefs kiss. I'm a huge sucker for Dennys pancakes over ihop and these pancakes blew Dennys out the door. On top of the food being perfect, the customer service was so good. They never missed a refill, they gave us their house made kimchee to try and WOW! (They sell it in 12oz tubs too) The workers were so so so kind and to top it off they gave us cookies to take home! Not to mention, we only spent $55 for everything we ordered! Great pricing if you ask me. I have not had such a great experience anywhere in a while so this just made my day! I pray blessings on blessings to the people who work here and own the restaurant! I can't wait to come back and try their lunch menu!

Thank you for having fountain drinks. I hate to go on about it, but it's annoying when people have cans and they charge you like four bucks. The big red cup is enough to satisfy thirsty folks like me. A little 12 ounce can is not. So let's see, we got the special which was a French toast. I got to say, giant portions and everything was real tasty. That's actually something that should be called on. The prices is very good for the amount of food you get. I was very happy with this place overall with that. My kid got the ube pancake which she was really happy about it because it's basically like having a slice of cake because it's so big and deliciously sweet I got the sampler cause I couldn't decide but in retrospect, I probably would have gotten the seafood Benedict. Because that was really my favorite of the sampler the Moko was great, but Benedict was amazing. I'm always a little hesitant on reviews for places when a vacationing because there's a bit of a bias, but this place will definitely worth it. I would check it out if I was looking for a fun place to go for breakfast

Although it was a 25 minute drive, we would probably wait that much anyways waiting for someone to acknowledge us over at Eggs N Things. Anyways the minute we walked we were greeted right away by a server and told us we can sit in any of the open tables. Servers were friendly and very attentive. We ordered the Da Local Omelette, the Longsilog and I had the ube mascarpone with french toast. Everything was delicious! I didnt get to taste the omelette since my daughter devoured it within a few minutes. I'm taking that as a sign that it was good. I was able to taste the longsilog with the fried rice and it was tasty as well. I might have to tey that next time. The Ube Mascarpone did not disappoint. Very creamy and the right amount of sweetness. Although I coulndt finish it, I did finish the rest when I got home. And while we were eating I noticed that place got full and busy right away. A family came in and a server approcahed them and told them they might have to wait for a few minutes since all the table were full. And guess what? Since the family's presence was acknowledged, the family actually waited outside. See that eggs n things? People actually wait as long as you acknowledge them! Well the simple answer is because we're all looking for something new and different to do once in a while with family and friends. And that exactly why we ended up at Wai Kai. It was a chance to hang out with our kids and friends before they returned to school after the winter break. The obstacle course was a ton of fun, we took advantage of the other water activities too, and we also opted to get a couple cabanas too so we could all hang out. It was perfect for our group of 20. Some of the restaurants were closed the day we went, but the takeout food at The Lookout was delicious. We also enjoyed some cold beverages too. BTW, the Nalo Lounge is a great option for $25/person if you want to store your belonging and take a shower before heading to your ext destination. For local families, take advantage of the kamaaina rates. The family is already excited about going back when the kids are back home this summer.
