We had the Caesar salad, salad with chicken and creamy mushroom soup. The salads were huge. Both delicious. The best Caesar salad with great little capers. The food and service were excellent. Not your normal "Cafe" food. Top notch. read more

Café One - Shrimp and scallop pasta and the meatballs - Canadian (New) Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

My sister and I are staying at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre for one night before our cruise and decided to try this restaurant that's in the hotel. Nice atmosphere and we were greeted and brought to our table right away. I ordered the pacific cod and chips. Very good fish. Crispy on the outside and juicy and tender inside. Fries were ok. We split the basque cheesecake. It was good but wasn't the description on the menu. I'm not complaining though. There wasn't sorbet. Instead it was ice cream with berries and the cheesecake. When we were almost done a woman came and played music on the grand piano. Nice touch read more

We've eaten there three times in two days. The crispy chicken sandwich is amazing. Fish and chips were delicious. Breakfast buffet has two options - full breakfast or continental. Highly recommended. Wonderful staff. read more

Located inside the north tower of the hotel. The staff was nice service was a little slow and we kept having to ask for more water. The drinks were amazing and I loved they were on theme for all the swifties. So they offered mocktails. The prices were slightly overpriced. The ceased salad was great done perfectly. Not overly drowned in dressing. The truffle fries weren't very strong so not worth the additional for it. However, the fries and chicken strip was perfect amount. I especially loved the local whiskey sour with egg whites and red wine. Not only was it eye catching the layers of colors made it extra unique. I look forward to the drinks. read more

If I ever come back here and I will, it's because of the milk tea and the service. The owner is really cool and funny. Very 街坊feel. I like that. That's what HK is about. There milk tea is awesome. Very authentic. Last time I came to Parker's place, I went to another shop in the same place for $4.75 a small cup of milk tea. This place, the milk tea actually is smoother (means more evaporated milk). But it's double the size and only$2.5!!!! What a deal!! I didn't have anything else. Just milk tea. read more

Parents and I had dinner at Cafe One, Sheraton Wall Centre. It was a unique feeling, emerging from the parking lot to the contemporarily decorated lobby restaurant. The tables were space quite far apart.... and when combined with the loftiness of the space... I kept reminding myself it was all thanks to COVID. For the appetizer, I decided on the Roast Beet and Kale Salad. It was a nice starter salad with huge chunks of beet with a good contrast of cranberries and nuts and lightly drizzled with dressing. I tend to gravitate towards seafood, so my entree was Seafood en Papillote. I realized (when I had the dish placed in front of me) that I had no idea what "en papillote" meant until that evening. There were great chunks of shrimp, salmon, cod, and muscles with veggies, potatoes and baked in butter. Absolutely delicious and I am now very tempted to try cooking my own "en papillote" dish. The greatest appreciation came when it was time for dessert. My parents and I all chose the Cheesecake, and the waiters came with three slices of cheesecake, one with a lit candle! I had forgotten when I made the reservation, I had noted we would be celebrating a belated birthday. It was a great little touch and I thank them for it. It was a very memorable end...and I can never say no to a good New York Style Cheesecake. read more

We stayed for 1 night at the Sheraton Wall Centre for a quick staycation. Our package include breakfast for 2 allowing us to spend $30 each. I feel more than enough for breakfast. The spacing of the tables are definitely 6 feet apart. All staff wearing masks. Spacious, happy, colourful and clean feel. We were quickly seated by the hostess by the window. The breakfast menu is quite extensive and I was able to find some items I can have with low sugar and carbs. I ordered: - morning smoothie: very tasty with strawberry, banana, Greek yogurt, hint of honey, and chia seeds. Great start to my breakfast! - avocado toast: on multigrain bread. Perfect for my diet and felt good having this balanced meal. I liked it had a salad and fruit with it. My hubby ordered: - Wall Centre Benedict: I had a bite and wow, rich with belly pork. Very tasty. The food and experience was fantastic! I would definitely recommend for breakfast. read more

An unexpected gem of a hotel restaurant. The highlight of the menu is definitely the house roasted turkey sandwich. Somehow this spot has managed to turn a simple item into something I still crave months after visiting. Prices are on the more expensive side compared to other options in the area, but not any higher than in the restaurants of other hotels. read more

Stopped by for happy hour as some of our colleagues were staying at the Sheraton. The place was not overly busy so our table was sat immediately. Someone joined us a bit after we received our first round of drinks and it took several asks to different waiters to order. At one point, the bartender and server were chatting behind the bar. We are pretty used to waiting but the staff wasn't overly friendly! read more

Service was impeccable but the food was nothing to write home about. My appetizer was good but small scallops instead of jumbo ones? My main lacked salt!! It lacked salt!! It's the first thing they teach you in culinary school is to salt your food!! And to taste it and make sure it's salted and good! There were 4 of us and 3 said that their main lacked salt and that the crème brûlée lacked sweetness and the top was not crunchy like a crème brûlée. I really thought the Sheraton was better than this!! The room lacked and the restaurant lacked!! Will I return? Let me get back to you on that one.... read more

The only reason to eat here would be because it is convenient and located in your hotel. While it was clean and friendly, is was way, way, overpriced. I understand the city is expensive and I don't mind paying for great food. I had the veggie omelet for $17.00 and a cup of coffee for $5.00. Not to mention I had a $10.00 voucher and my bill was still $20.00. The potatoes were fried little nuggets and the omelet was watery. If you are staying in this place, walk a block or two and you can find $2.00 coffee and a $3.00 breakfast sandwich. Funny part about this is we had coffee for our conference downstairs all day, everyday and I would have guzzled it up had I known it was the going rate of silver. It works if you need a convenient meal. read more

Café One - Canadian (New) Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Bar at the Sheraton. Cannot recommend as we just had two glasses of wine that should have costed $30 + tax and was charged $39......and I also tipped on top of that!! We were obviously overcharged for average wine and I, unfortunately, did not get the itemized receipt......totally my fault for not checking, however, very shady bar. There are so many better options, even nearby, that you should not waste your time here, I will not surely be back, and I'm even staying at the hotel! Horrible, stay away!!!!! read more

My friend wanted to try this place out so we decided to try their dine out menu (attached and on dine out Vancouver site) - $35. He went with: lobster bisque, mushroom risotto and creme brulee I had: lobster bisque, AAA beef and creme brulee. Lobster bisque soup was not good. Salty. We were pretty sure it was microwaved because there was a top layer of oil or like what leftovers leave on soup. The chef could have microwaved, mixed it and then put on the creme fresh LOL. Mushroom risotto - good portion, however, too much parmesan. We're use to seeing white cream risotto, but because this one had cheese, the dish was very yellow. Didn't think it'd be the whole plate, more so a sprinkle of parmesan. Sorry no photo for this one - tbh didn't look appetizing but my friend liked it. AAA beef - I asked for medium rare, it was more red than I'd like. OK dish. Also microwaved sides because sauce was not sauce lol. It was dried out. Creme brulee - I love dessert. So best part of the meal. Overall: I wouldn't go back. Service was great (3 stars for service). If you're a visitor, I'd definitely give it a try. But there are great restaurants in the area that are less $. I understand the dine out meals are done before hand, butttt this is the first time I can see it was microwaved. read more

This was a bad experience from the beginning. I sat down and ordered sparkling water and was brought tap water. I let that slide. Then I got my soup with my main course. The soup was so thick and tasted like it was boiling all day. The truffle oil was so overdone on the Ravioli I could not tolerate it. The waitress picked up the dishes and didn't ask a single question, even thought they were barely touched. Then she tried to bring me my bill. I asked for another glass of wine, at least they can't screw that up! No sooner did she bring me the wine, she returned with my bill and said no rush but the restaurant is closed. The time was 10:05 pm! You may want to enjoy the hotel but I strongly discourage wasting your moneys and time in this restaurant. There are too many lovely options a short walk away. read more

bland food, overpriced. visited tonight and there were two servers and only three tabletops. two were couples and I was alone. took over 15 minutes to get a drink. Caesar salad with chicken is $32. not nice enough of a space to justify this and the food and service are just terrible everytime I come here for a conference, about eight times a year. Do better. read more

Came here right after we checked in to our hotel room at the Sheraton. Ordered a Santa Fe salad. My boyfriend ordered fish and chips. Both were very good. We will definitely ask for her. read more

The Cafe One superior service expectations are seriously lacking. I don't think of the Sheraton as ultra-luxury, but I hold it in a higher regard than the Ramada Inn or something. Cafe One was my breakfast experience after a night of heavy tequila drinking and not wanting to leave the hotel complex for food. We should have ventured out of the Sheraton complex. We waited to be seated by a fun life-sized horse lamp for a good 25 minutes, in which a timid server named Alina would say "one minute" and then leave for ten minutes. Granted, the place appeared busy when we arrived, it was hard pressed for me to find an issue of seating us when most of the patrons were eating the buffett. Annoyingly, when we noticed a seat for a table of four became available (for our group of 4), it appears a gentleman had reserved the table and was ushered passed us and drank orange juice and read his newspaper all by his lonesome at the first available four seat table when there were two-seat tables readily available. Alina, as oblivious as possible, eventually realized she could push two two-seater tables together and did so eventually. Once we arrived and were seated, we started off with coffee. The menu states a delicious Starbucks roast and I happen to be sitting at a table with three well-seasoned Starbucks employees from Seattle. The four of us (because I'm a professional Sbux drinker) tried to pinpoint which coffee blend Cafe One was bragging about. Decidedly mixed, we concurred the weak coffee must have been the underpopular Starbucks "House" blend or perhaps an extra special blend of weak beans just for hotel franchises, if it were Starbucks coffee at all. Our hearty server, the best part of our experience, was a boisterous Scot named Tammy. Tammy gave us exceptional service and apologized profusely for not being prompt nor readily available to help us. We ordered our meals, and I don't remember what everyone got but I remember everyone thought my meal looked the best. I ordered a mascarpone peach waffle meal with bacon, and it was good. Everyone else ordered egg scrambles and such, which they thought were okay. The strange part was receiving two of our four plates, and then Tammy disappearing for a full SIX minutes without providing the other two tables. We only received the other two plates after my husband ventured back into the chef's area (while simultaneously, all four of us watched in horror as Alina pulled slices of bread off the buffett for OUR table's remaining food plates) and demanded the food and to speak to a service manager. We were informed that there were no managers on duty, and the table made snarky comments about how that was obvious. We were compensated by receiving 50% off on our order, which brought it down to a reasonable $50ish for the four of us. The service, the food, nor the ambiance would've warranted a $100 meal for 4 people. There's too much good in Vancouver to see this lame experience. We won't be back, we won't miss it, but Tammy the Scot was a hoot. read more

Never again. I repeat NEVER AGAIN. N.E.V.E.R. A.G.A.I.N. Massively overpriced for what it was - a hotel restaurant that serves acceptable food. Amateur service that is very friendly, but extremely slow and uncoordinated. I would even venture to go so far as saying it's awkward service - like the girls aren't sure of themselves as servers. It is reflected in their interaction with the customers. I thought it was us, then I watched our server be the same way with another couple. Ordered the chicken with vegetables and mushroom ravioli for my entree ($35). It took 30 minutes to arrive. I, however, was told it takes a little bit longer. When I think "little bit longer", I think it will be 20 minutes, not 30. While we didn't order any appetizers, we weren't offered any bread, either...until my husband flagged down another server and asked where our food was. She offered bread, BUT NEVER BROUGHT IT ONCE SHE SAW OUR FOOD COMING. I stared at my plate, flabbergasted that *that* small piece of chicken took THIRTY minutes to cook. Flavors were good enough, but not so good as to warrant $35. Mr Carina M's "seafood" pasta was $25 and was 'fine' by his standards. Worth $25? Not really. It's a pity that this restaurant tried, and failed, to rise above what it is - a mediocre hotel restaurant with a not so stellar menu and odd service. Had the food and service been better, I can see the justification for hefty price tags. read more

Phenomenal experience - highly recommend. The cocktails and service were great. My colleagues and I chatted for several hours with a female bartender named Shea who not only made a great cocktail (make sure to try her Bourbon Sour) but also told us about a lot of other sights we should see while in Vancouver. Even when it was busy, she gave impeccable service. We definitely visited Bar One a few more times before leaving. Thanks again, Shea! read more

Tonight, Feb 25th, late evening, was not good at Bar One in Cafe One. Poor Quality drinks at premium prices, poor attitude by one staff .. Drinks: First rounds: Poor quality, almost no alcohol, little taste, whoever was mixing had no clue on how to make drinks. Second Round: Better results Service: Slow The Woman server was very nice, pleasant. The Male server had poor dry as a board attitude and poor customer service skills. We usually visit here a few times a month but really turned off by the service and quality of drinks tonight. There are plenty of other places close by where the quality of drinks and service is much better. We don't recommend this location ... best to go to another place. read more

EXceptional service by the waiter Jonny Dew! The best server we had in Vancouver since our wedding (another place). Other servers are great too. Food is good but somewhat salty for my taste, decor is not my style (thus I removed 1 star). I would recommend that they start live music( which is very good ) earlier than 9 pm. read more

5-star experience for my group because of Manager Ryan Gardecki both before and during my large group's social hour at Cafe One and to Dew during the event. I cannot thank Ryan enough. He worked with me ahead of time by phone and email to put together a simple and nice event for a group of what was supposed to be 25. Even though the group that showed up was surprisingly larger, he and Dew sincerely assisted us. We were so thankful. Ryan set up a menu of food and appetizers within the budget we had for the event and with emails back and forth, we easily came to a mutual agreement. Even though we received a couple of appetizers that looked great, but that our group could not eat out of religious dietary restrictions, he and Dew rose to the occasion and seamlessly removed them and provided new options. Everyone was appreciative. If you have a meeting at the Sheraton or a conference and you want to have an event within the hotel to save time from trekking folks offsite, I would suggest emailing Ryan or calling Cafe One and asking for him so you can set something up. It will be done professionally with expert customer service. Thanks so much from the South Asia Special Interest Group of the Comparative and International Education Society. read more

Ordered the fish and chips and they were just the best. The fish was fresh, light and crispy and the fries were better than usual. I don't like heavy, greasy food, and you won't get that type of food here. The salad was also light and healthy but made with imagination.
