This is probably one of my top three favorite text Max in all of Houston. It's a great spot to meet up with friends or even just have drinks and some Mexican food alone at the bar. There's plenty of seating areas and a nice big bar if you're into watching sports while you're grabbing a bite. I really like the fajitas and margaritas here! These guys are constantly trying to overcharge for both tacos and margaritas on their Tuesday taco night. After 2 times of redoing the bill, (for the 3rd visit in a row) I am over it. We went there before New Year's, and how the place had changed ALOT . - *Update* - I got a response from the so-called manager who lacked the guts to include his name like he did in other replies. Instead, this person told me to contact the corporate office and gave me a line to do so. Following my review, the manager has taken down his "response," highlighting a deficiency in customer service and acknowledgment of my review. Or was he afraid that the corporate office would uncover what was mentioned? No need to fret. Yelp keeps a history of all reviews and updates. Since He didn't responed to me AND remove his respond, I downgraded the place to a 1 Star. Sad how this is now. Compared to previous years. The food has gone downhill. We bèen going there for the last 5 yrs. The staff are great but the selection has gone way down. I see better selections at a Golden Coral seriously. The displays, presentations, and lack somewhat wow factor. The flavor of the food is mediocre. I felt like I was going through a hospital's cafeteria pick odds and ends of leftovers. I ordered western omelets, and the eggs didn't taste like freshly beaten eggs. The price has gone up to 29.99 pp. Sad, sad, sad that you charge more and get less. You think you fixed the place up too. On the outside, it looks like an empty lot or an abandoned storefront. not inviting, no appeal. Please fix this. I hate to see this establishment go. Our visit took place on a weekday. Over the years, I have visited the Houston branch and noticed a decline in the quality of the presentations. We celebrate birthday parties there with friends visiting from out of town. We traveled from NYC specifically to visit during our annual trips with local friends living in Humble/Sugarland. Given that Golden Corral charges less than $20.00 compared to your establishment's $29.99, it is clear that Golden Corral offers a more extensive menu than what I experienced that day at Cadillac Bar, which was quite disappointing. Was here during an alumni mixer event. The staff was very helpful and directed me to where the space was. The seperate section for the event was spacious and set up very nicely themed for what San Antonio calls Fiesta week. The food was regular tex mex. everything tasted average though the dessert was cold and soggy even though it was on one of those warmers. the bartender was quick and friendly. overall i think they did a pretty good job at hosting the event. read more

The challenge....plan a professional meeting in five weeks. The solution...talk to Becky Newton at Cadillac Bar. When the sponsor for a professional meeting backed out with just a little over a month's notice, I needed to find a place that could be flexible as our team regrouped, pivoted and planned our first ever member social and expo. Becky was great! She helped us set some baseline parameters and then worked with our group as the numbers of participants (and sponsors) grew and grew. From a simple dinner to a speaker focused on vaccine advocacy and then eleven pharmaceutical and hospital sponsors, it was great to have Becky's patience and support as the event morphed into something that I could not have imagined. Nice to be able to choose a banquet menu and then meet in the venue to map out the layout. From the check in and raffle tables as you entered to the eleven sponsor tables on the periphery with a dozen round tables for 84 in the center of the room, the traffic flow was great. Never felt crowded even though so much was going on. For the banquet buffet, we built a menu with chicken and beef fajitas and chicken and cheese enchiladas. The chicken enchiladas were so delicious. Added chips, salsa, queso, guacamole, rice, grilled onions and vegetarian black beans. Nice to have both corn and flour tortillas. Becky thought to offer a gluten free option. A dessert table was set up with tres leches, chocolate cake and the yummiest key lime pie. The bartender at the cash bar was great. Nice to have self-service containers of water and tea at the end of the bar. Bonus: We added the tech package for the speaker but also set up a rotating PowerPoint on the multiple small screens to welcome our attendees, thank our sponsors and speaker and encourage new members to join. This was a nice perk that was discussed at my walk through with Becky. Plus, she advertised our event on the marquee outside the Laredo Room. Parking was a breeze! So many spots in the ground parking lot next to Cadillac Bar. Hopefully, we will plan another member social and expo next fall. I'll be calling Becky....and next time, I'll add spinach enchiladas to the buffet. read more

Stopped in on a Thursday night about 8:15 with a friend after we worked a happy hour event for a company. We just wanted a cocktail and a quick bite knowing you closed at 9. Bartender was not overly friendly but just ok. We ordered, got our drinks and ordered only queso which kinda took a minute..he also informed us he'd be making last call shortly which we said no problem. We had our "snack" and left about 9. Tried this place for the first time since it was so cold out and nobody was there. The food was excellent and they had a great variety of items. The waitstaff was great and very friendly. Maybe because there weren't enough customers. The ambiance is casual. They charged $29-$30 per person not including drinks which was a bit steep but I guess the area has a lot to do with that. Coffee was $4 but oh well. I probably wouldn't make it my go to place but I would go again just to try different dishes next time. They did have an omelette station and great desserts. read more

We went last Thursday during happy hour because we were on that side of town, over the years we've heard the Cadillac bar was a great place. First time visiting probably never going back. Happy hour was like nonexistent. They first gave us the regular menu, go figure. We had to ask for the happy hour menu. No specials were given to us. The margaritas were disappointing. Food was mid. Nothing special. Bartenders sucked. Looks like they hate their job. I believe in that whole restaurant for happy hour there were about six couples maybe. That should've been a sign. I don't know why I haven't made it here sooner, even after I moved in the Loop 3 years ago. This establishment has been here for 25 years. For some reason, I thought it was a burger place and not Mexican food. I've been to the Lupe Tortilla and Cyclone Anaya's nearby. We tried this place for the first time and loved it. We were seated right away on a Friday night. The environment is chill. We enjoyed the creamy green sauce from the chips & salsa and ordered a side of queso blanco. It was just the right consistency and spice level with the salsa in it. I had the beef fajita quesadillas which is an appetizer but a huge portion, so I had it as my entree. I chose the flour tortilla. It's honestly the best quesadillas I've had. The beef fajita cubes were so flavorful. I ate half and took the rest home. It even toasts well when reheated in the air fryer. My date ordered the enchilada combo with refried beans and rice, and he also loved his. The enchiladas were: beef enchilada with chili gravy, chicken enchilada with salsa ranchera, and cheese enchilada with chili gravy. I originally ordered a mojito, but they didn't have the ingredients. We each had 2-3 house margaritas on the rocks. I tried it with and without salt on the rim cause they forgot. Amazing. Tastes like lemonade. We enjoyed that. Service was great, and when we left, the manager said, "See you tomorrow!" Haha. If I lived walking distance from here like my date, then hell yes, I'd be back for brunch! read more
