    PAELLA VALENCIANA FRIED CALAMARI BURRITOS

Delicious food you must come and try it out Quick service and very nice and sweet Bring your family

My wife and I have been coming here for YEARS and we just had our BEST experience here. We had 18 family member come for a pre-show dinner for a concert I gave downtown and everyone had such an AMAZING experience with the atmosphere, service, food, and vibe. Kayla was our server and we could not have been happier with every aspect of the afternoon/evening. Interestingly, they had even introduced a new FROZEN MARGARITA recipe which they solicited my feedback for (it's really great). If you're looking for a good Mexican/Spanish food experience with great service and a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to come to in downtown Frederick.

    Calamari, SEAFOOD SOUP,

Pictures from our recent visit at Cacique. Not our first time and certainly not the last. My fiancée and I actually first met at this restaurant and we love coming here to eat/drink whenever we get the chance. 10/10 food, service, and ambiance! My personal favorite, especially during the cold months is getting a table next to the fireplace.

Haven't been here in a while - not sure when the renovation was done but it looks great. Food was fantastic as always. So excited to see Margarita Flights on the menu

I was surprised at how few vegetarian options were on the menu. I ordered the spinach burrito. It was GOOD. I feel bad for ripping on the menu when I sat down. The cheap margarita had a ton of alcohol in it. Prices were fair for the amount of food, especially considering the downtown location.

Always great good and great service. A frederick institution for us locals and ex locals. Still best chips and salsa in town!!

My family absolutely loves this restaurant. The staff are always on top of it and we haven't had terrible service. I wasn't feeling a big meal and opted for the chicken soup. I legit need this recipe or for them to sell it in a big bowl. It was delicious and the vegetables weren't mushy. The broth was to die for. Highly recommend :)

This restaurant was recently closed and redesigned. It is so nice inside and feels upscale, but without the upscale prices! The drinks are very good and they don't skimp on the alcohol. We got the classic margaritas and sangaritas, and both were fantastic. We were also happy with all of our food and our service. I'd definitely recommend it for great food and atmosphere!

Our server was excellent. He made excellent recommendations and was very attentive. The dining area was very comfortable, roomy, bright, clean and nicely decorated. The biscuit that came with the combo was a cheese biscuit, however the menu didn't mention the cheese otherwise we would have asked for a plain biscuit (looking forward to having jelly with it, but not so much on a cheese biscuit), but regardless, it was a good biscuit. I look forward to visiting again next time in town, trying their dinner/ tapas.

If we loved here im sure we'd be regulars. My mother-in-law and I had the kebab (chicken and steak) and I forgot what the men had... the plantains were amazing, the chicken was SO tender and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. I had the house marg and it was 1/2 off, so of course I and to get two... The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fried corn, it was kind of like the puffed up popcorn rhay doesn't pop all the way. It wasn't bad, but I think they had other better options.

Ordered the Empanada tasting which is one steak, chicken and sausage. A few minutes later the u inspired server brings 2 of the same flavor when there should have been 3 different flavors. The manager corrected the issue and we started tasting and sampling and quickly realized that there wasn't much flavor to any of them and the sauce tasted like it had sat open in the refrigerator for weeks. One bite of each was enough to stop eating them! Then along came dinner..... Lomo Saltado and it was more disappointing than the appetizers! The steak chunks were not seasoned, the dish was very dry and the fries and vegetables were not seasoned. This meal doesn't even rate 1 star and they should be ashamed of their service and products!! Overall my review says don't eat at Mayta's!! It was a complete waste of money and time!! Horrible service and food!!

Our server was attentive throughout the meal, and other staff members also checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the Fried Yuca with mojo sauce, which was cooked very well - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The accompanying dipping sauce wasn't really to our taste, as it appeared to be oil-based, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism of the dish itself. For our entrée, we ordered the Seafood Paella with tostones for two. The quality of the seafood was good, and the dish was flavorful overall. My only criticism is that the paella seemed a bit heavy on the rice compared to the amount of seafood and protein. There was certainly plenty of food to share, but I would have preferred a slightly better balance between the rice and seafood. The atmosphere was also enjoyable. We visited around 5 PM and were seated in the front corner of the restaurant by the windows. The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable, while still feeling lively enough to create a nice dining experience. Background Latin music played throughout our meal, which complemented the restaurant's vibe without being overwhelming. Overall, we had a positive experience thanks to the quality of the food, attentive service, and pleasant atmosphere. I'd be happy to return and try more of the menu in the future.
