We stopped in on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. It wasn't busy when we arrived, and while it did start to fill up, there was never a wait. The restaurant itself was clean and casual, and they do serve alcohol (it looked like they have happy hour specials as well, though we didn't try any). They brought out complimentary chips and salsa to start, with a note on the menu that a second basket comes with a charge. One thing to be aware of: the chips are not made in a dedicated fryer, so they aren't gluten-free. Service was a bit of a mixed experience. There was definitely a language barrier, which made communication difficult at times--our questions often had to go through multiple staff members before we got an answer. Food came out pretty quickly, which we appreciated since we were in a rush. That said, there were some hits and misses. I ordered tacos al pastor but was given steak tacos instead. I tried to explain the mix-up, but it wasn't resolved, and due to time, I just ate them. Unfortunately, the steak was overcooked and tough, and the tacos themselves were very basic--just meat on a corn tortilla, with extras like sour cream costing more. On the plus side, my nephew really enjoyed his kids' cheese quesadilla and fries (the fries looked crispy and well-made). Someone in our group liked the chorizo quesadilla, and another had the birria tacos and thought they were just okay--nothing standout, especially compared to other places. Pricing felt a bit high for the portion size and overall quality. There is a small parking lot, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot, which is always a plus. Overall, Casa Mezcal was convenient and quick, but between the order mix-up, inconsistent food quality, and communication challenges, it didn't fully hit the mark for us. I'd consider giving it another try if I were in the area, but with adjusted expectations.

The next special welcome for me was their soup board!!! I love soup ... as I gazed the options I wanted all of them but I have been wanting perhaps needing chili (Not too spicy the staff member said but really good!). My lunch partner went for the Chicken Corn Chowder that I was also eyeing An extensive menu that still carries the former location's name but who but me would notice that. Restaurant start ups or take overs take time and money so I am all in favor of saving money on items visitors won't notice. Doing the "grilled cheese" sandwich lunch but those Mac and Cheese choices really looked good but ah I was choosing chili, right? Had a pleasant chat with one of the management team and enjoyed hearing about the dreams for Legends! We enjoyed a satisfying lunch with really good soup and great service. If you're in town for a concert Legends is just a block away. Warm your bellies with happiness and enjoy the comfort, we sure did!

I've Felt More Welcome…read more I stopped into Legends on Main in Elkton hoping for a quiet spot and a cup of decaf. The only person working greeted me and handed me a menu, which was appreciated. When I asked about decaf, he brusquely replied, "I'd have to make a pot, and you'd have to drink it." I couldn't tell if he was joking, but it felt off--awkward at best, unwelcoming at worst. I sat down anyway, giving the place a chance, but after 5-10 minutes of being completely ignored--no follow-up, no water, no acknowledgment--I got up and left. Customer service matters, and unfortunately, Legends came up short. I've definitely felt more welcome elsewhere.

The food was good! The service was good as well!…read more I did NOT appreciate the extra "service charge" to my bill for "$26.95" listed as a "crew service charge" which the waitress says is split between her, the cook & whomever else! My bill was over $160, the tip should go directly to the waitress who waited on me. Since when am I the consumer responsible for "tipping" the cook? They should be paid a "living wage" by the restaurant instead of that fee being passed on to me. The tip should've been $34 which again should've went straight to the waitress! I will not be going back to the restaurant! I had an overpriced drink and then almost $10 extra dollars was added to the bill as a tax in addition to a food tax. $100 meal, $20 drink turned into a $179 bill for crabs....... We will find a place in Delaware to eat good seafood instead. I believe in tips and I believe in paying for good food! I do not believe in nickel & dining consumers. I wish the restaurant well. But I will not be back. How dare a restaurant tell me how much to tip & charge me $3 addtl dollars for butter which should come with seafood as a dipping sauce!!!! Do better Micks but if not they'll be a closed sign on Pulaski HWY where you used to be! You got me once, you will NOT get me again!
