Birria Tacos, Chicken Empanadas with yellow rice

This local gem was amazing! We were greeted by friendly staff and seated right away. The cozy cultural decoration was very inviting. The menu had many options and tons of drink/beverage options. We decided to go light with just appetizers. So we went with the chicken empanadas and the birria tacos along with my passion fruit frozen margarita. Everything was delicious. Our server was super friendly and made sure to check on us regularly. It was a pleasant surprise close to home. When in the mood for Mexican give it a shot.

Second visit was even better than the first! Great food, fun atmosphere, nice staff - very efficient, everyone's order was correct in our party of ten, and the margarita was sooooo good! We enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, the guacamole and queso were a hit, and all entrees were enjoyed.

    Delicious!

it's your soft opening n I have two suggestions easily fixable 1. do not sweep near a customer as they are eating ... takes away from dining experience 2. get rid of Fabioso cleaning spray ... it's so strong in scent that I could not smell the delicious food I'm eating all I smell is the cleaning spray ... find a non scent spray that cleans well food delicious Guac delicious I'll b coming back once you open ... hard!

When you think of a Mexican restaurant, this is what I see in my mind. The food was on point. My drink was great. A lil strong but I am okay with that. The service was great. Very attentive staff. I love the good vibes wall of decor. It's definitely a little hole in the wall but what an amazing find.

    Burrito Texano

We came here after looking for a Mexican restaurant in Elkton on Yelp. The place is newer, well decorated and a great atmosphere. We were seated quickly. Our waitress, never gave her name, was very helpful in pointing out their special dishes. My wife had the Hawaiian Fajita and I had the Burrito Texano. We also had stuffed Jalepenos. The stuffed Jalepenos were the only low point of the meal. The cheese wasn't melted, still cold? Not sure if this is a cooking style or was a result of being a frozen food. The Burrito was perfect, with shrimp, chicken and steak. Meats were well seasoned and prepared. The Hawaiian fajita came out in a half pineapple and tasted great. The fixings were all fresh and tastey. The only other drawback was a 3% charge for credit. Bring cash

We had to wave down the chef in the kitchen and she was able to alert someone that we were there! Happy that we stayed because the peek in the kitchen we were able to see fresh bread being made and food being prepared that I wanted to eat! After this experience in the beginning, it was all uphill from there from the service of our waitress the big booth seats to the food experience. The only thing we did not enjoy was the French onion soup, which was kind of flavorless, but we took it to go, and I will definitely doctor it up and eat it later for sure. Go here!

The last time, and I mean the last time, I went alone. The place was empty, only a few seniors there eating. my server was slow, and my food was the worse. I spent a small fortune with an appetizer and main entree... I left so disappointed that I spent about $75 was charged a service fee for using my debt card, and I did not enjoy any of my food.

Although I've been coming…read morehere since the 1970s, I even had my 16th birthday party here, and a company Christmas party. I was extremely disappointed in the buffet all around. They list what MAY be available on the buffet. They advertise it as a seafood buffet. Well, there were no crab legs, although you could purchase them in addition to the the already pricey $39 "seafood" buffet (for the meager offerings). No crabs. No rockfish. No clam chowder. No shrimp skampi. No seafood salad. None of the more expensive items. Basically, bottom of the barrel offerings, and nothing that we went there for. I left there hungry and feeling ripped off. The only really good thing where the raw oysters. And theyre damn near impossible to ruin. All of the shrimp were over cooked. Mealey and dry. The creamy seafood bowties were inedible. The fake scallops were dry, tough, and very fishy. And as per the rest of the shrimp, they were cooked to death. I will say the garden salad, while simple, was pretty good. There was no ceaser. The fried oysters were the absolute worst ever. Over cooked, bad batter, dry and tasteless. The roasted oysters with a thick chunk of rubbery bacon, were hard to tell what they were. The clams casino were just ok. So much topping that it was hard to find the tiny little clam under all that. The so called "crab balls" were stuffed with a very dry tasteless crackers or bread crumbs but they should be called bread crumb balls. Even the seafood chowder? It was hard to tell as most things were unmarked or mismarked. The chowder was a very failed attempt. Slightly fishy, overcooked (whatever the tasteless meat was). And disgustly overly thickened. Worst I've ever had. I did try the red bliss potatoes. Were they boiled? Very plain, but edible. The canned green peas were what you'd expect. The cooks haven't ruined them yet. Now for the none seafood dishes. Chicken cordon Bleu? Eh. Roast beef? Dry tough and covered in canned gravy. Stuffed shells? Overly creamy and not very good. I took a small serving of anything I tried so I wouldnt waste much. I gave up after 2 sample plates. I find it hard to believe that a restaurant thats been around this long, could in good conscious, even attempt to pawn that way over priced sub Sysco quality food as a seafood buffet. Overcooked tasteless shrimp, clams muscles and oysters, especially cooked as poorly as all of these offerings do not make up a seafood buffet. I must add, the staff was 5 stars. Very friendly and attentive. No complaints there. In summation, I feel like the generalized menu, lead you to believe there would be some decent choices. But they cheapened it down so badly with very poor quality food that there was no reason to go back up. Poor selection, tiny buffet, very poor quality food, unmarked, mismarked, and very unappealing. I dont know who runs this place now, but its a far cry from what it used to be. I shouldn't have gone. This experience ruined my memories. I still can't get over anybody pawning this garbage off as a buffet, let alone a seafood buffet. For $10 less, I can literally get ten times the options with 100% fresh seafood at several nearby places. Oh, and I almost forgot. Who cooks a beautiful salmon filet so long that you have to gulp down a drink with it so it doesn't get stuck in your throat? 1 star. And thats being very generous. Now if your somebody that enjoys gulping down lots and lots of mediocre food at a ridiculous price, this place my be for you.

Also, if you've read my prior reviews, you know I always want my water glass filled and the waiter made sure that was the case. It's a small detail that added to the overall comfort of the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating a relaxed setting for dinner. The food was well-prepared and flavorful. The veal meatballs were tender, the olive oil and sun-dried tomato dip for the bread was unique and yummy, and the mushroom agnolotti stood out as especially delicious. In fact, I can't wait to go back and have it again. Also, since it was Valentines weekend they added a cute little lips design on top of my drink. Another memorable touch was the mini firework placed on the butterscotch custard to celebrate my birthday. It added a bit of fun to the end of the meal and made the occasion feel special. And the servers checked in pretty frequently to clear the table, ask you if you need another drink, dessert, etc. it did feel a bit rushed. As a starter they give you their Ciabatta bread and the sun-dried tomato oil. The oil was DELICIOUS. I literally bought a jar to take home. For my drink I got the Fresca. It was good, very refreshing. For my entree I got the Linguini & Clams. It was good, could've used a bit more salt but the sauce was good. For desert I got the boozy affogato and it was delish.
