Birria Tacos, Chicken Empanadas with yellow rice

This local gem was amazing! We were greeted by friendly staff and seated right away. The cozy cultural decoration was very inviting. The menu had many options and tons of drink/beverage options. We decided to go light with just appetizers. So we went with the chicken empanadas and the birria tacos along with my passion fruit frozen margarita. Everything was delicious. Our server was super friendly and made sure to check on us regularly. It was a pleasant surprise close to home. When in the mood for Mexican give it a shot.

Second visit was even better than the first! Great food, fun atmosphere, nice staff - very efficient, everyone's order was correct in our party of ten, and the margarita was sooooo good! We enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, the guacamole and queso were a hit, and all entrees were enjoyed.

    Delicious!

it's your soft opening n I have two suggestions easily fixable 1. do not sweep near a customer as they are eating ... takes away from dining experience 2. get rid of Fabioso cleaning spray ... it's so strong in scent that I could not smell the delicious food I'm eating all I smell is the cleaning spray ... find a non scent spray that cleans well food delicious Guac delicious I'll b coming back once you open ... hard!

When you think of a Mexican restaurant, this is what I see in my mind. The food was on point. My drink was great. A lil strong but I am okay with that. The service was great. Very attentive staff. I love the good vibes wall of decor. It's definitely a little hole in the wall but what an amazing find.

    Burrito Texano

We came here after looking for a Mexican restaurant in Elkton on Yelp. The place is newer, well decorated and a great atmosphere. We were seated quickly. Our waitress, never gave her name, was very helpful in pointing out their special dishes. My wife had the Hawaiian Fajita and I had the Burrito Texano. We also had stuffed Jalepenos. The stuffed Jalepenos were the only low point of the meal. The cheese wasn't melted, still cold? Not sure if this is a cooking style or was a result of being a frozen food. The Burrito was perfect, with shrimp, chicken and steak. Meats were well seasoned and prepared. The Hawaiian fajita came out in a half pineapple and tasted great. The fixings were all fresh and tastey. The only other drawback was a 3% charge for credit. Bring cash

Casa Mezcal is so good. I've been twice in 3 days! The customer service is excellent. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted and they offer complimentary chips and salsa...it's really good. For dinner, I ordered the empanada appetizer (4) $12, but I chose 2 chicken and 2 beef empanadas. It comes with some type of cheese sauce on it, not too crazy about it but it was good. I also ordered a side of beans and rice. It's really good. The best I've had in a long time. For a cocktail, I chose the Golden Margarita ($13) it was good but kinda costly for a Mexican restaurant. I've typically seen margaritas priced around $8-$10. For $13, I'd expect top shelf or close enough. But no big deal...I'd still enjoy another one. Only negative thing about this place is parking. It's very limited. The restaurant shares its parking space with a gas station store, bank, etc. The shopping center is kind of small and located on a back road. This location has had restaurants come and go, this is probably the 4th or 5th restaurant I am aware of! But I think they'll be here for a long time. It just opened up and it's been busy. Parking lot stays packed! Also, the restaurant is pretty small so I wouldn't suggest a party of more than 6-8 people. I believe 8 is pushing it (tables small). Check it out, it's finally an authentic Mexican restaurant in Cecil County.

    Margarita with a flaming shot!!

Juan our waiter was amazing, funny, providing great recommendations. Food was outstanding. Wife got the chicken fajitas. I got the Baritta tacos. We had empanadas for apps. And the chocolate filled churros were delicious end to the meal...oh and they put a FLAMING SHOT in a cut LIME in their house margarita!! Maybe we found our new Mexican spot! Will need to try the other dishes.

Me and my family ate here last night and we had the private room in the back! All I can say is the service was great! The foods & drinks were excellent. I loved the street corn & fried ice cream. The beef nachos were so good! The eleven of us couldn't be happier. Thank you all.

We had to wave down the chef in the kitchen and she was able to alert someone that we were there! Happy that we stayed because the peek in the kitchen we were able to see fresh bread being made and food being prepared that I wanted to eat! After this experience in the beginning, it was all uphill from there from the service of our waitress the big booth seats to the food experience. The only thing we did not enjoy was the French onion soup, which was kind of flavorless, but we took it to go, and I will definitely doctor it up and eat it later for sure. Go here!

My husband got the crab cake sandwich which was good but the fries were under cooked. The food is very pricy. Not sure we will go back Or recommend this place to anyone. We were very disappointed. My bill was over $160, the tip should go directly to the waitress who waited on me. Since when am I the consumer responsible for "tipping" the cook? They should be paid a "living wage" by the restaurant instead of that fee being passed on to me. The tip should've been $34 which again should've went straight to the waitress! I will not be going back to the restaurant! I had an overpriced drink and then almost $10 extra dollars was added to the bill as a tax in addition to a food tax. $100 meal, $20 drink turned into a $179 bill for crabs....... We will find a place in Delaware to eat good seafood instead. I believe in tips and I believe in paying for good food! I do not believe in nickel & dining consumers. I wish the restaurant well. But I will not be back. How dare a restaurant tell me how much to tip & charge me $3 addtl dollars for butter which should come with seafood as a dipping sauce!!!! Do better Micks but if not they'll be a closed sign on Pulaski HWY where you used to be! You got me once, you will NOT get me again!

We started with the crab bisque, fried flounder sandwich with crab fries, chicken piccata and we took the chocolate cake home for later. Everything we had at the cafe was made to order and delicious, with obvious attention to presentation. The soup had nice chunks of crab, but a little less creamy than what I was used to. The flounder sauce and fish was very yummy, but I wished I had more of that sauce on the side. The filet was ever so slightlyyyyyy overcooked. My wife found the chicken too thick, thinking it could've been pounded a little thinner and with more capers. Other than that, she found the dish delightful.
