The drinks were the true standout. They had some inventive Valentine's day special drinks with unique ingredients like raspberry sorbet and coconut water. The ice cubes also had an edible flower in it. I ordered a sex on the beach and it was fantastic. Not too sweet, and you could taste a hint of liquor beneath the syrup and juice. It was very tasty! My wife got one of the special drinks with chocolate bitters and it was well balanced and delicious. Once seated, we got some fresh cooked chips and surprisingly mild salsa quickly (my kids liked it more than I did). They had a massive menu with just about all the types of food you could want. We ended up with tacos, taco salad, a T Bone steak with ranchero sauce, and chimichangas. Other than the tortillas and taco shells (which had obviously been freshly prepared), the rest was a bit bland and disappointing. The steak in particular was not too good. It had far too much fat on it, and also was cut a bit too thin. Though slathered in sauce, it needed a lot more heat. We ended up with a lava cake for dessert. It was nice and big for all 4 of us to share, but definitely could have used a bit more chocolatey "lava." And while the servers were nice, they also disappeared for long stretches of time.

There was definitely a language barrier, which made communication difficult at times--our questions often had to go through multiple staff members before we got an answer. Food came out pretty quickly, which we appreciated since we were in a rush. That said, there were some hits and misses. I ordered tacos al pastor but was given steak tacos instead. I tried to explain the mix-up, but it wasn't resolved, and due to time, I just ate them. Unfortunately, the steak was overcooked and tough, and the tacos themselves were very basic--just meat on a corn tortilla, with extras like sour cream costing more. On the plus side, my nephew really enjoyed his kids' cheese quesadilla and fries (the fries looked crispy and well-made). Someone in our group liked the chorizo quesadilla, and another had the birria tacos and thought they were just okay--nothing standout, especially compared to other places. Pricing felt a bit high for the portion size and overall quality. There is a small parking lot, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot, which is always a plus.
