We had a great meal here! We had 10 tacos: fish, shrimp, carne asada, and al pastor; pozole; quesadilla; a Mexican hot dog; and flan. It was all solid- the fish and al pastor tacos a must and the pozole as well. (We are looking forward to going back for the tamales!) The women that own it, one from Jalisco and another from Vera Cruz, envision a place with classic Mexican flavors- simple but tasty. I think they do a great job. They are working on securing their liquor license.

Very nice surprise in a tiny town. Family run business with awesome food We will definitely return

Small eatery, very nice people and awesome chicken quesadilla, rice and a nice selection of hispanic Jarritos soft drinks.

Awesome food. Authentic. Good guacamole. Shrimp fajitas were really good, so were the chicken. Friendly service.

Was in the area visiting family and we were looking for a quick, easy bite when we came across Casa…read moreMezcal--our first time here. We stopped in on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. It wasn't busy when we arrived, and while it did start to fill up, there was never a wait. The restaurant itself was clean and casual, and they do serve alcohol (it looked like they have happy hour specials as well, though we didn't try any). They brought out complimentary chips and salsa to start, with a note on the menu that a second basket comes with a charge. One thing to be aware of: the chips are not made in a dedicated fryer, so they aren't gluten-free. Service was a bit of a mixed experience. There was definitely a language barrier, which made communication difficult at times--our questions often had to go through multiple staff members before we got an answer. Food came out pretty quickly, which we appreciated since we were in a rush. That said, there were some hits and misses. I ordered tacos al pastor but was given steak tacos instead. I tried to explain the mix-up, but it wasn't resolved, and due to time, I just ate them. Unfortunately, the steak was overcooked and tough, and the tacos themselves were very basic--just meat on a corn tortilla, with extras like sour cream costing more. On the plus side, my nephew really enjoyed his kids' cheese quesadilla and fries (the fries looked crispy and well-made). Someone in our group liked the chorizo quesadilla, and another had the birria tacos and thought they were just okay--nothing standout, especially compared to other places. Pricing felt a bit high for the portion size and overall quality. There is a small parking lot, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot, which is always a plus. Overall, Casa Mezcal was convenient and quick, but between the order mix-up, inconsistent food quality, and communication challenges, it didn't fully hit the mark for us. I'd consider giving it another try if I were in the area, but with adjusted expectations.

So I called this restaurant to order out using dash as a means of delivery and the food was not worth anything. The restaurant that was there before them was 1000% better and I wish they were still there but these new owners or at least the person that I spoke to on the phone was very nasty and mean. She even told me that maybe I was drunk well actually I was recovering from a stroke and I was in the rehabilitation center getting therapy and my voice had changed after my episode so maybe that's why she said that but still I think that was disrespectful and rud as I am a customer. I cannot recommend this place at all to anyone. I still got my order and as I said earlier, the food was not good at all, as a matter fact, I refused to eat it and threw it out so what did I lose? I lost the price of my food and DoorDash cost and my tips. I love Mexican food, well I still had "blue Mezcal" who have excellent service and they are not rude and the food is delicious. For a better experience advise you to go to blue Mezcal in Middletown justice couple of doors away from "thrive physical therapy" .
