The menu is pretty standard for Italian food, they have pizza, calzones, etc. but we all had our eyes on the subs. The regular size sub is 12" and is definitely enough for two meals, to share with a friend or, if you're super hungry, tackle it all yourself! I opted for the eggplant parmigiana sub, which was delicious. I ate half of my sub and took the other half home. My husband and I shared an order of fries. The fries were pretty plain, so if I went again I'd probably get cheese fries or another side instead. All in all a nice restaurant and I would happily come back when I am in the area.

During a later call Vincenzo guided me on food selections and room set up. Top notch concierge service! La Stanza is well laid out. Several guests commented on how the room had that 'new car' fresh smell. The bathrooms in La Stanza are exquisite. Maddy was our host/server. She was with us the entire evening. She was very accommodating, professional, and approachable. Her experience in this environment was evident. The food... C'mon, it's how Italian should always be done! We've found two great pizza places here recently and this is one of them! Honestly, really hard to come by good pizza in Delaware. The other menu items were serious bonuses for me since apps are lacking in this state too. Service was great, attentive enough but not over the top. Also, yes, they do offer a military discount. We have been customers for years. Guess who we will not be visiting anymore. Management can make or break a place. Passing the buck and not apologizing is just showing how poor the management really is. When I told the young lady on the phone that it's a shame they were going to lose a good customer over a burnt cheesesteak and French fries, she laughed. Plenty of other places to eat that care more about their customers than Dover Grottos!
