I thought this place was really good! I appreciate that they have longer hours as most restaurants seem to close a little bit early on the weekend nights There was plenty of parking, and the interior is large. The decor is very festive and authentic, and the staff was very welcoming. This restaurant offers complimentary chips and salsa, which is always appreciated, and seems to be less and less common these days. Nice touch. The server came over quickly to get our drinks order. The menu is quite large, but has a lot of standard Mexican dishes. I ordered the Carnitas burrito grande and I thought it was absolutely delicious. I substituted black beans for refried beans, which wasn't a problem at all. It wasn't all that grande but it was definitely plenty of food. The cost was reasonable. I'm sure prices change but when I went this burrito cost $13. All in all, great experience and I would recommend this restaurant. read more

Best mexican place in Dover. (Biased as it's the only Mexican restaurant I've been to in Dover). Make sure to order your margarita with half a shot of grand marnier. Food looked and smelled good upon walking in. stood at the booth for about 5 minutes, no one met me, so I sat down at the bar. I watched 3 people filing a refrigerator and 3 or 4 people walking past that were working there. Waited for another 10 mins for one of the workers at the fridge to tap the other to come over to me. he gave me a menu and walked back to the fridge, never offered a drink. Had my order ready in not even 3 mins steak charro, but waited again another 10 mins before walking about the restaurant. I don't feel that my time is valued or my money mattered to this establishment so I will not spend money here and I will advise my friends and family to avoid here as well. read more

Good experience. We came in at 9:10ish on a weekday, instantly greeted and taken to a table. The waitress was attentive. I felt a bit rushed to order but it was because we came during their last hour and I could tell some of the staff was getting ready to go. aesthetic of the place is pretty cool. We stayed eating a little bit after closing, and everyone was very kind not to rush us out. I had a combination platter of rice, beans, beef enchiladas, and burrito. My partner had a grilled chicken platter. Food was hot and portions pretty big. Didn't like the rice, but combined with everything it was fine. We had margarita, which were great. Chips and salsa good and came out quickly. I ordered ceviche, which was also good but not a fan of the avocado with. Flan was also pretty good. Ate here for dinner around 730pm was seated right away but somewhat busy. Restaurant seems clean inside and out. The decor is very nice. Very comfortable atmosphere. Staff has been very friendly. Me and a friend wanted to explore Dover and decided on eating Mexican food for the evening. I saw the reviews and was excited to Try the food and enjoy a good meal. We were promptly greeted and brought to our table. The staple for me is the guacamole. I will say their guacamole was little on the runny side, but still tasted pretty good. I went with my usual beef and cheese enchilada with the double side of rice, my friend had the fajitas and a couple of tacos. My friend said his food was pretty good was hot it came out pretty fast. Mine I must say I was a little bit underwhelmed with My enchiladas. They seemed a bit cold and the rice was definitely not very good. Our waiter was really attentive had on gloves and mask, but I will say there really wasn't much with social distancing. I might have hit on an off night, so I will probably give it another shot. read more

I was in Dover for a work trip, and got in relatively late, for COVID hours. This restaurant was close to my hotel, and my coworker chose it. We were seated immediately, provided with drinks and a bowl of chips with salsa. Good start, I was pleased to be out of my car and not sitting in an airport. Definitely needed to be masked up inside here when not eating or drinking. I ordered a margarita which was very tasty, I ended up drinking 3 over the course of the meal. Coworker and husband drank Dos Equis. We ordered some choriqueso, which is white cheese dip with chorizo. It's not a huge portion but it will definitely please the palate. Super tasty, and a good way to get the meal going. My coworker ordered the 3 dip sampler, which was queso with 3 different seafoods inside. Looked good, how do you go wrong with queso anyway? My dinner entree was 3 al Pastor tacos, with a side of radishes and grilled onions. My coworker ordered the crab quesadilla, and her husband got grilled tacos. I enjoyed my tacos very much. The taste of the corn tortillas along with the grilled onions and al Pastor was a good combination. Skipped on the radishes, didn't add much to the flavor. Coworker was pretty full on the chips and dip and didn't eat much of her entree. However, there was a hair on her plate- in the defense of the restaurant they took it back and made a completely new plate. Issue addressed. Her husband did enjoy his tacos as well. I suspect that they had a few beers prior to meeting up. But the meal was good, if I get to come back to the area I'll be sure to get more of the queso, and try something else with the Al Pastor since it was so tasty. Lots of options in this strip along the main drag. But this one is worth popping into. Doesn't look corporate owned, and the food was delicious IMO. read more

Went on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Wasn't too crowded. Got seated in a booth. Friends who are super thin couldn't even fit in the booth area. Had to move to an open area. Food was decent. I asked for everything with my tacos, but didn't get it when it was brought to the table. Had to ask for a refill even though my friend had theirs filled without asking. A friend tried the Grande Sampler, it was giant, came on 2 plates. I tried the grande sampler at other restaurants and only got a chili reilleno and 3 enchiladas. The chili reilleno was so much bigger and was battered like I've seen it cooked! Excellent! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Stay away. Arrived at 9:40 pm, twenty minutes until closing. Yes, we realized that that was pushing it but still should of been served. We sat at the bar and waited for someone to serve us. Finally the sketchy bartender / waiter came by. We ordered don Julio margaritas and he just served us an awful premix from a gallon jug. We let that slide. Then the guy just disappears, we were ready to order. Finally he shows back up, takes our Oder (carne asada and fajitas) then disappears again. The whole time we are in the restaurant a horrible scratched and skipping cd was playing terrible music over the sound system. Why would some not change that?!!! Our server shows back up at 9:58 and said that kitchen refused to cook us any food as they just cleaned up the kitchen. Two minutes later two plates of food come out of the kitchen for another table. I love real Mexican food. This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. They have really good food at a good price. The interior is no different than any other Mexican restaurant. The food is quite different in that they do not put a lot of sauce all over the food to make it taste good. They have a great dish called Talapia A La Mexicana, it is by far my favorite. I also love the nacho supreme appetizer. The Margaritas are the BEST in town! Be sure to get top shelf alcohol in it as it gives the drink a nice punch :) If you have a taste for good Mexican food & you are in the area, this is the only place in a 50 mile radius that is good! When everyone in there speaks Spanish (and barely any English), and you're in Dover, DE, you know it's probably going to be at least halfway decent. I went there in a large group, while racing in DE this past spring. Our friend's wife is from Peru, so he knows what real guacamole and pico de gallo is supposed to taste like. He thought those two things were great...that says something! We were pleasantly surprised; it was a busy Friday night, but they managed to squeeze all 14 of us in. We had chips and salsa on the table almost immediately, and they brought more without us asking. The drinks were great, and decently strong. I had fish tacos, and they came well seasoned with lots of rice and beans. You have to pay extra for the guacamole sides, but it's worth it. I'd definitely go back again - great food and great atmosphere, and decent prices. Interesting to find it next to the NASCAR track, but what a liittle gem. read more

Was in town for one night and stopped by because the parking lot was packed. The service was slow but the food was amazing! I had the Enchiladas Supreme and my wife had a burrito. You never know what to are going to get when you pull into a Mexican Restaurant in a city you've never visited before. Sometimes you are disappointed and other times you are pleasantly surprised. This restaurant proved to fall in the group of "pleasantly surprised". We were greeted by smiling faces and were promptly seated and served chips with salsa. The salsa was delicious! I do think it would have been nice to have been brought more than one little bowl but I guess we could have asked. Meals were priced between $9-$15 (far, far less during lunch). I ordered fajita nachos and my partner (32/33 years old) ordered enchiladas. O.M.G. Delicious! My nachos were enormous! If you like cheese then this is like cheese heaven. I would say that this could easily make a meal for two. I ate far more than I needed to and still had a third of them left. This is especially true if you still have chips left over from earlier. There is more than enough fajita topping to make another plateful! The enchiladas also deserve a great review. He got the supreme platter and enjoyed the cheese enchilada the most. Omggggg what a gem! I'm so happy I picked this place to celebrate my birthday with my family. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and seated. So for starters you get chips and salsa and the salsa here is so so so good. The chips and salsa were gone in minutes lol then the waitress came around and took our drinks/food orders. Everyone in my family ordered something different and I was excited to try my plate. I ordered the Pollo Chipotle which comes with refried beans and rice, omg delicious. The chipotle sauce on the chicken had like a barbecue/sweet taste to it and I loved it. The refried beans and rice delicious . I'm getting hungry again just thinking about this place lol. The drinks were good we ordered mojito, piña colada, coronita and a modelo negro. All drinks were made perfect. Not an overpowering alcoholic taste nor too bland nor too sweet just simply perfect. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. My family and I are so happy we found a great spot we all enjoyed and all at reasonable and affordable prices. We were a party of 11 and our total was $187 and that is a deal! I can not wait to visit Delaware and come eat here again! read more
