I went to the Twist'd tomato with very high expectations. I got the garlic bread pizza steak. I was hoping for a whole lot more out of this cheesesteak, especially at $10.99. Are the high expectations to blame? They usually are. Looking at the pictures there seems to be a meat shortage. It was good. If there is a brewery nearby I wouldn't hesitate to go back and get the garlic bread Cheesesteak to eat at the brewery. Nice new place, nice people working hard and the pizzas looked good. Decided to try out Twist'd tomato. Tried calling in couldnt get through no big deal. I've seen this place everywhere, I've seen people talk about it on Facebook, it's on yelp everytime I get on. Whoever is promoting this place is doing a great job. This spot has been a couple different pizza shops, I've seen Oscars, Ike's now Twist'd tomato. Got a 14' cheese pizza, the cheese was good. Definitely smart to advertise the Grande cheese. The sauce was okay, nothing spectacular. The crust and underneath the pizza were the only letdowns though. The bottom could've been cooked way longer. Really one of the only downsides to the pizza. Still a good pizza though I'd recommend trying. read more

It was UFC Fight Night over the weekend. My husband brought up the idea of trying out this place and I agreed too since I had this bookmarked for awhile. Plus I noticed they had Cheesesteak with Wiz to which I was on a hunt for in the local area instead of making a trip to Philly. I phoned in my order. They didn't pick up on my first call, but tried again. No issues while picking up. The pizza was basic. Wasn't saucy enough. My cheesesteak was lacking. The wiz was there, but steak wasn't tender, a bit dry, and they were really skimpy. More bread than meat. I ate a quarter of it and threw the rest out. We will not be returning and on to the next hunt. read more

I tried this place based on the reviews. I'm sorry but it was not great. Mediocre at best. I am from South Philly so yes I am picky when it comes to pizza, Cheese steaks, etc. I like NY Style think crust zesty cheese. Stands out when you pick it up. $44.00 for two pizzas and 65% of it got tossed.... Sorry just my opinion. read more

We usually order plain cheese pizza from Twist'd Tomato but today we tried their vegetable stromboli. What a delicious item! The stromboli dough was nicely browned and tucked inside were mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, peppers, onions and cheese. The veggies were nicely spread throughout the dough and there were no annoying pockets that were only dough. I wish I had photographed the box when we opened it because the presentation was beautiful. Set in the middle of the box was also a container of tomato sauce for spreading on top. We use to order here all the time. Food was great. However, it is now over priced and the quality has gone way down. $27 for a large pizza with double cheese, double mushroom and sausage. There was barely any sauce. There were minimal mushrooms even after ordering "double". Sorry Twisted... You're out!! read more

I love this place BUT last time I went, I noticed a new sign on the door saying $1000 fine for anyone coming in not wearing a mask - strictly enforced but when I walked in the guy at the counter saw me and put on his mask but the guys making the pizza in the back had no masks. Late last Friday, my boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat since we had no food in the house. We were very pleased to find that Twist'd Tomato was open at 9:30PM, when most places are closing early or not opening at all. The guys working there were very friendly, and the food was made quickly. My stromboli with sausage, onions, and peppers was HUGE and so tasty. My boyfriend loved that his Italian sub wasn't soggy, and when he asked for jalapeños, he got fresh sliced jalapeños, whereas other restaurants typically throw on pickled ones. We both agreed that his Italian sub was one of the best we've EVER had. We'll definitely eat here again! read more

The pizza is decent, & especially if you're in the mood for something different.. the Detroit style one is good & worth the wait. The fried garlic knots that everyone raves about seem to just be flavored on top not through the dough, which was a little disappointing. Overall a good spot.... friendly service too. We ordered from here for the first time super bowl Sunday. We were told upon ordering that there would be a 45 minute to 2 hour wait and we would be called when our order was ready which we were totally understanding of. Over 2.5 hours later we had to call and were told our order had been ready. Upon picking up the order my husband explained that he was upset we were never called, he said that the employees gave a half hearted apology and there were no other orders even sitting to be picked up. Second time eating here, as I live right around the corner, and wanted to give a local place a shot rather than your mainstream Domino's or something like that. Delivery was quick last time; did pick up this time, as was on the road and arrived early and only had to wait a few minutes for my order. Great pizza pie and the garlic knots were amazing. Based on reviews, we tried them, very good. Second time, quality was off. We figured, they were having a bad day, it happens. Third time, last night, two pizzas, quality dropped significantly. No one liked the pizza, it was bad. Will not go back due to taste, quality of product produced, and the cost vs what is received is out off line. read more

Recently tried this place for the first time on a Saturday night. We ordered online and the food was delivered very quickly, which was appreciated. We tried two different specialty pizzas and the sauce and toppings were decent. However, the crust was a bit of a letdown. It was extremely dry and devoid of flavor. After seeing some good "press" on social media, I decided to give this fairly new pizza shop a try. As a general rule, I stick with a fairly "no frills" pizza on my first visit, as nailing the staples is often a good predictor of overall quality and attention to detail. I ordered the "red and white" pie, which is a whIte pizza with splashes of their house pizza sauce and a few well positioned blasts of ricotta cheese. Excellently seasoned and absolutely delicious. Menu price ($13 for a Large) was more than fair. When I picked up, all employees were wearing masks, but that didn't impact their appreciation for my small order.
