We were impressed with flavor, freshness…read moreand portion sizes, but disappointed by a few things: 1) we requested a side of fresh parm for the spaghetti and meatballs, but none was to be found in our delivered order, 2) no napkins nor plastic cutlery was included (our delivery address was to a hotel which inherently assumes these items are needed), and 3) the margherita flatbread was delicious, but cold (I'm guessing it was warm when picked up by our DoorDasher?) The tasty order of spaghetti and meatballs could've fed a family of four so we had leftovers to try and fit in our hotel fridge [bad problem to have, right? ;)]. While the side salads were fresh, they were mostly iceberg lettuce with a single slice of tomato as well as a single slice of cucumber and a few pieces of red onion. The flatbread was really good, but would've been better warm; again, likely the result of third party delivery service. Hubby enjoyed the cannoli and would order again. Next time we are in the Newark area, we'd likely order from here again, but maybe dine in versus delivery.

Our server, Eri, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun--he made the whole experience feel personal rather than just another lunch service. The fall cocktail menu deserves its own mention: creative, extensive, and delish. The Pumpkin Spice White Russian was the unanimous favorite at our table. Most of us went with the three-course lunch special for just $20 (with one holdout who understandably couldn't resist the famous crabcake), and we were truly impressed. Soup or salad, an entree, AND dessert for $20 feels almost suspiciously generous these days. The salads were fresh and flavorful, portions were substantial. The spicy rigatoni was excellent, just the right amount of heat. The salmon and shrimp entree was another table favorite. And perhaps the smartest part of the whole deal: leaving with a delicious dessert. Lunch now, little treat later. Perfect. A huge thank you to Eri for the great recommendations and stellar service. Excellent food, creative drinks, generous portions, and an experience that felt genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Five stars all around--we'll absolutely be back.

Bottom line: 3 People and $500+ (with an imposed tip 100+ tip), is too much. For God Sakes! Really! That's 1 entree (the special ~ 70$ x 3), and 4 drinks...then you tack on a 100+ tip fee, tax. So yea, for something that sounded simple, getting a $500 check was not! I don't mind paying, but this felt like a crime! So that said, I would not recommend this place unless you have $$$ to burn. p.s. I know the 'math' does not make sense, and we discussed with the manager. Bill was split across 2 couples, and double charged all over the place and they would not do anything to correct it! Ugh. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was a shit show.

Great experience in Wilmington…read more When we were visiting Wilmington we were looking for somewhere good to eat, and social media recommended we tried out casa nonna. The ambiance is super fun as it's hidden to the side of a food hall, but tucked away so it feels very intimate. The food was phenomenal. I got the chicken Parmesan (although it's an appetizer it filled me up), my husband got the sausage pizza and my friend got eggplant parm. While the food was amazing, the one complaint I had was the service. I felt bad I feel like the server was handling every single table, and while the server was super nice and helpful, our food took forever and getting water and the check took a while as well. Overall good experience and will be back when I again to try new food here.

The farmhouse salad, tuscan chicken wings, chicken piccata, and freshly baked rolls are not to be missed! My dad wasn't a fan of the lentil soup and the salmon florentine was just okay. Potatoes weren't very impressive. Service was a little rough as we had to ask for several items multiple times and had difficulty flagging down our waitress, BUT she was extremely accommodating and even took off the soup from the bill since it was basically untouched. She brought us extra bread and oil and originally helped us to make the soup as cost effective as possible by making it an add-on to a meal instead of its own item.
