a pepperoni pizza in a box
    Archie M.

Went here on the humble because my daughter is down the street about to give birth. Everyone ordered pizza and this was the closest place. I was actually impressed. From the customer service to the taste of the pepperoni pizza. I'd actually like to explore the menu further if I ever make it over that way again

I tried this place off a whim via GrubHub. To say that I wasn't impressed would be an understatement. For $18 shrimp Alfredo , I barely got any shrimp. Also it was insanely heavy on the parsley (stems weren't removed). I couldn't really enjoy it. I also ordered hot wings which were disfigured and off putting. Will not be ordering again.

Great food. Love the wings! They always taste well cooked. BBQ fried hard. Only downside...Girl at the counter has a bad attitude.

This time we visited for my birthday- on a Tuesday evening, they are running a two for $60 special. You get a starter, main, and dessert. The options are plentiful for such a complete meal, and I always enjoy my company (the Mr.). I had a spinach strawberry blue cheese candied walnut salad as my starter. I ordered the chicken parm: two thinly (read: perfectly portioned) sliced chicken breasts, coated with bread crumbs and fried, smothered in the same garlicky tomato sauce folded into the most perfectly al-dente pasta noodles. The mozzarella cheese was thoroughly melted and fused into the top layer of the chicken breasts. For dessert, I ordered the lemon mascarpone cake: three layers of the fluffiest, most lemony cake I have ever had. The mascarpone cream was not sugary- again, flavorful and lemony. I always enjoy my meal when I visit and I particularly adore their tomato pie. I have a little trick to being able to score some additional pieces to the two place on your table with warm crusty bread and butter; I have no intentions of sharing my secret! I know the term 'hidden gem' is played out, but this is really one of those places where if you don't know, you will never know. If you decide to try it, it's worth the drive. I have always enjoyed my time, food, and service the numerous times I have visited.

The place is pure glitz and while that's not my preferred habitat, the crab cakes are outstanding and the vibe is surprisingly unrushed. It's certainly a hike to Penns Grove but next time we're in the area, Di Paolo's is on our list for an old school rendezvous. Five easy stars.

Great experience in Wilmington…read more When we were visiting Wilmington we were looking for somewhere good to eat, and social media recommended we tried out casa nonna. The ambiance is super fun as it's hidden to the side of a food hall, but tucked away so it feels very intimate. The food was phenomenal. I got the chicken Parmesan (although it's an appetizer it filled me up), my husband got the sausage pizza and my friend got eggplant parm. While the food was amazing, the one complaint I had was the service. I felt bad I feel like the server was handling every single table, and while the server was super nice and helpful, our food took forever and getting water and the check took a while as well. Overall good experience and will be back when I again to try new food here.

During my visit, I ordered a salad and the ricotta gnocchi. I had originally planned to try the chicken parmesan, but unfortunately, they were out. The salad and drink were both fine, but the main course was a letdown. The portion was surprisingly small. At $24, I expected something more substantial, not what felt like an appetizer-sized dish. In total, I spent nearly $60 and left still hungry and underwhelmed.

On Wednesday it's only $6 a glass. I tend to go for a ravioli. The first time there I had the mushroom ravioli, which was absolute perfection tonight I had the lobster ravioli, which was still very good. The bread they bring out at the beginning is absolutely delicious with the infused oil on the table, although I do wish they had cracked pepper. It is a very loud place to eat, but it feels festive and not annoying. The desserts are also very good. This place was featured on it! The home feeling to this place is awesome! They treat you like one of their own family members. They bring you out what feels like a loaf of italian bread! I go here specifically to purchase the Guy Fieri Favorite ...and let me tell you, he's not wrong. Beef Braciole, homemade meatballs, sausage, meat ravioli, cheese ravioli, and spaghetti. Homemade traditional red sauce. The pasta is made every morning. I can't rave about this dish enough! The Chicken Alfredo comes with 2 cutlets. The homemade Alfredo sauce is also fantastic. You will definitely need a to go box! Now lets talk about the soup. Simple, but such a great item. This soup has to be the cure to the common cold. It takes you back to grandma's house as a kid eating chicken broth with noodles. The difference is the homemade pasta pearls.
