This is a typical east coast sandwich shop with better that typical food! We had a chef salad (great blue cheese dressing and rolled ham.salami, and cheese, and additional grated cheese on top) that was fresh and tasty. Our cheesesteak sandwich had great, fresh veggies (onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms) and the beef and cheese was hot and moist. The best part of the sandwich was the in-house baked sandwich rolls. Thicker than pitas and far less breast than typical dubs rolls, they made the perfect ratio of filling to bread. Finally, the typicality of the decor was the tables and chairs. Additionally, there was a great Cornhole championship planing of two TVs. It was fun and they had great food!! read more

Two Cousins Hockessin DE. Cute little cheese steak. They make their own roll. It appears they make it out of their pizza dough. It was a good little roll. I don't know but I would think that if you are going to make the rolls out of your own pizza dough you should you have something special about your pizza dough. Overall it was a good little Cheesesteak. Nothing really popped out about it. Everything was good. $8.50 very good but even at $8.50 I thought there should have been a little bit more. read more

We called to ask where the pizza was and they said they would redeliver in 30 minutes and we owed them $5. An hour later still no pizza. My husband called and they told us they weren't delivering to us anymore. Let me get this straight - you screw up our order tell us you are delivering the forgotten pizza and now you won't deliver to us? Easily the worst pizza shop in Hockessin. The cheesesteak crust is very bland has like 0 flavor it's a very dry pizza. The garlic knots are a tad overrated, usually I just get soggy soaked knots if I've ordered them. Today I tried the cheesesteak absolute joke. So I've heard bad things about the cheesesteak before how it's a small like dinky sandwich. And wow people were spot on, the sandwich is only like 10 inches so already under the typically footlong standard. It is 8.25 it makes sense now. It is made with the pizza dough. I got it and literally I thought there was no cheese on the steak. The cheese was melted into the roll with the steak put on top of it. What a absolute joke of a sandwich. The single slices looked like they sat there for a good while so I ordered a large so I could get fresh, but seriously had little to no taste!! I've unknowingly had takeout from Two Cousin's a couple of times and recently picked up food from there personally.My wife brought some food home from our sons' playdate; so I heated up the pizza and wings. The buffalo chicken pizza is one of their best menu items. It's chunks of chicken, bleu cheese, and buffalo wing sauce on top of a pizza pie. The wings looked very appetizing, though reheated wings are never as good. I recently picked up a large cheese pizza and 10 wings for $17.50 ($2 off the regular menu price). Good pizza, especially for the Hockessin area. The wings were a little undersauced. I was looking forward to them because they looked so good the first time. In the end, I had to use some of my own sauce to achieve full coverage of each wing. I'll be sure to ask for extra sauce next time around. read more

About a 3.5: After an unfortunate circumstance with a restaurant around the corner, my husband and I came to check out Two Cousin's Pizza, located in a little plaza off of Lancaster Pike in Hockessin, DE. This restaurant has been around since '92, and they offer pizza, wings, baskets (shrimp/chicken breast), stromboli, calzones, hot/cold subs, and side items (broccoli bites, french fries, fried mushrooms, etc.). The restaurant was pretty expansive, with two parts of seating, TVs in the corner playing sports. I had the Cheese Steak sandwich and a side order of Garlic Nuts (half-dozen order). The cheese steak sandwich was actually pretty good! The bread that they used was very soft and fluffy, sort of like a ciabatta-type of a roll - the steak itself was cut up and seasoned well, great amount of cheese and mayo (I probably would request extra mayo next time) - quite delicious and it satisfied a cheese steak craving that I didn't know I had that time! The Garlic Nuts that everyone seem to rave about was quite underwhelming, as they were just small bread clumps, sprinkled with garlic seasoning and salt - it was more on the bland side, and didn't seem so fresh. Two Cousins gets a "meh" from me. Even as a pizza-crazy kid in the 90s when half the restaurant used to be the Hockessin Dance Studio I was never very excited about it. The inside is dingy and the food is just average. Service is touch and go; even ordering a slice or two to go when the restaurant is a ghost town can take what feels like forever. I like the crust, but for me the pizza sauce is too sweet and the cheese has the dreaded tendency to slide straight off the slice with the first bite. However, the garlic knots are quite tasty. I'll eat it if it's served at a local party, but otherwise I won't go out of my way. read more

Usually ok, but placed pick up order for pizza and told 20 to 30 minutes. Show up after 15 minutes and given a cold pizza which looks like an hour old. The pies in the window looked like had been sitting there for days, and the employees behind the counter were very nonchalant and unprofessional. Since the pizza looked so unappealing, I settled for a cheesesteak. I was very surprised when it came out because it was not a traditional cheesesteak. They had clearly used pizza dough for the bun. Ordered delivery on a Saturday night around 5pm they said it would be 45 mins. An hour and 15 mins pass by I give them a call. I'm told it's "on the way lots of deliveries tonight". Another 30 minutes pass by I call again "it's still on the way". Over two hours later I don't get a phone call or anything food never showed up. I guess they don't really care about customer service. I didn't order much food but honestly it shouldn't matter. It's a shame because the food is pretty good but you just can't lie to your customers. In summary don't bother ordering delivery if you want to stop in for decent food go ahead. I've been ordering from them for years and occasionally had long waits but to not even deliver the food or call your customer and admit you made a mistake is unacceptable. The worst! Went with 6 friends, who all finished their dinner, when I hadn't gotten mine yet. After 4 asks, I was told it was coming. Asked for money back. Rude, ignorant young staff. Meanwhile, a customer came back, not happy that he got home with incorrect order. After waiting too long, and getting a number of rude comments, and a "f you", from a worker, guy came out from behind the counter, shoving and punching man. I was a few inches away from them. Basically, Hockessin's answer to Tony's. And like most of Hockessin's "answers" to establishments of different cities, whether it be Newark, Wilmington, or Philly; it's not nearly as good as the actual place it copied. I have fond memories of Two Cousin's from my childhood. My mom used to take my brother and me to this park in Hockessin (I forget what it was called) and then we would walk to Two Cousin's to get a pizza. I remember thinking the pizza was good when I was young. Fast forward ten years. I'm a man, with a beard; having seen the world. I've seen the good and bad that this life has to offer. I got done my shift at work and decided to vary from Cacciatori's/Tony's and head over to Two Cousin's. The first thing I notice is that for an Italian pizzeria, the pizza slices are unbelievably small. Like smaller than Domino's. So I get three slices and a side of Old Bay fries. The pizza was remarkably average. It wasn't bad; but I think most microwavable pizzas are just as good. The Old Bay fries took 15 minutes to make, but they were pretty good. Two main complaints. No parmesan cheese to put on the pizza, and the customer service was very average. They weren't downright rude, but they also didn't seem particularly happy to get my service. Two Cousins is a good little Italian pizza place! There are no frills here, but it's generally clean and fast. The best thing on the menu is the buffalo chicken pizza, although the sicilian is also good. Their Italian dinners are good for non-pizza eaters. So this isn't going to be the best pizza you will ever have, but some of the other choices make up for it. First off, the garlic nuts. So good, and you should definitely order more than you expect to eat. They are super good the next day if you kept them in the fridge. There cheesesteaks are great because you can order them in the half a sandwich size. I love this because I am never going to eat a whole cheesesteak in a sitting. Also, the bread is this interesting combination between a steak roll and a pita. It's hard to describe but super good. Service is hit or miss. There's a reason I know this phone number by heart. Two cousins is always my go to when I want a good slice of pizza or a hearty dinner. It's a small mom and pop style shop with very tasty food. People at the counter are usually polite and the place is kept pretty clean. Whenever I stop in, the wait isn't very long but the majority of the time I get delivery. The wait for delivery is usually 40 - 50 minutes and totally worth it because it's my favorite Sicilian style pizza around. P.S. You gotta try the garlic nuts. They had the very best buffalo chicken cheesesteak I have ever had in my life. The roll they use was Amazing and the way they blended the chicken cheese and buffalo sauce was perfect. I have had their pizza before in the past and it's amazing as well. LONG POST BUT PLEASE READ BEFORE PICKING THIS PLACE Today I had the absolute WORST experience with this so called " family friendly establishment" . Let me first off by saying their customer service is absolute garbage. I work for a major company that orders from Two Cousins regularly. Not only are there multiple personal orders throughout the day but we have done catering as well. Today my coworkers and I decided to order chicken finger platters. Three of them, exactly the same. Chicken fingers and fries Xtra crispy. No complicated order, no special instructions. Literally chicken fingers. On the phone ordering was fine, but then they asked me to tip the driver before the food was even made because I was using my card to pay. UM OKAY? Lets pay them before they even get there. Either way I tipped more then 20 percent. The delivery came and we all opened our boxes. Not only was the French fries not x crispy .. THEY WERE LITERALLY STILL FROZEN. You bit into one and it was cold. So I call back to explain to them the situation . I told the girl who answered the phone that we ordered our fries xtra crispy and they were still frozen. The girl says " um hold on " Then she puts me on hold, without realizing I can still hear her and the conversation. She then laughs while telling her I assume boss " uh this lady says her fries aren't xtra crispy. " Which is not it at all, I truthfully at this point could care less about xtra crispy. I just want fries that weren't cold in the middle. She then gets on the phone and says bluntly " you can pick them up at the store we don't have time to redeliver." Are you joking ?? I just paid you guys thirty bucks for some frozen fries. Let me mention my work is maybe 10-15 minutes tops from them. I explained to the girl the reason I ordered in the first place was because I couldn't pick up my order so that wasn't going to work for me. She then says to hold on again. keep in mind that I can still hear her and says " she says delivery isn't going to work for her " Here is the kicker... the MANAGER says he doesn't have f***ing time for this " She gets back on the phone and says " sorry we cant help you more and hangs up the phone on me. I have never in my entire life had a restaurant hang up on me. I decided to then wait until after work to call back and see if I could speak to another manager. Possibly they switched shifts by that point. I called and nicely asked if the same manager was on duty as this morning. Instant response " why" ..I said because I would like to speak to them. She then proceeded to tell me that no other manager or owner would be in for two weeks. I said great, ill call back in two weeks which I will. No one apologized, offered a refund or anything. I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. I am also telling all co workers 30+ in our building alone to NEVER order from there again. I will also be telling my boss to never place a catering order ever again. Two cousins has just lost one of their major sources of delivery and income in the area.
