We took the boat tour ro this island and had lunch at this restaurant that gets veeeeeeery busy around lunch time. It's a very tiny island and this is the only restaurant. We had a great time enjoying our meal with live music and a beautiful view on a Saturday afternoon. Food is ok. Like bar food. Not many vegetarian or healthy options but their vegetarian burger was pretty tasty They are dog friendly!

This restaurant is only accessible by boat and has such a cool history. The place was absolutely packed with folks having food and drinks. Since everything is brought in a boat, it is on the pricer side but it's expected being out in the middle of the ocean! The one dollar bills all over the walls are iconic and their Cabbage Creppers definitely sneak up on you. While we were there they also had live music.

Love a restaurant that I take a boat as my transportation. The grounds are beautiful and it's lovely to go up the water tower for a beautiful view. Of course the prices are high because of the location. we enjoyed our beach burgers. But they do charge an extra for any additions. That one caught us by surprise.

I stopped in with family while out on a boating trip. You can only get here via boat. I would highly recommend getting here early. The restaurant opens at 11am for lunch service but fills up very fast, so rush up to get your name on the list. We got lucky to get seated in the first wave of seating. The menu is not very extensive but does offer salads, shrimp dishes, fish, and of course burgers. This restaurant is known to be the reference for Cheeseburger in Paradise. While others at the table did order a Cheeseburger, I ordered the Shrimp salad. The shrimp salad was served over a tomato with sides of coleslaw and potato salad. All really fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this dish for something light at lunch time. The Cheeseburgers I heard were good too. Here you do pay for water since it is served by bottle. We even added a dollar bill to the restaurants decor!

It is a short boat ride to Cabbage Key. We saw a lot of dolphins jumping right aside of our boat to put us in a good mood. Sandra then took great care of us and we had a fantastic lunch with the Crab Claw appetizer, "cheeseburger in paradise", the best Key Lime pie, and some Cabbage Creepers. The atmosphere was chill and the other patrons were chatty. It is a fun short 1/2 day trip to believe in the Jimmy Buffet myth.

We saw manatees, tons of birds, a million dolphin, and there are even tortoises that live on the island.

Seafood terrible for the price. I guess I should eat a hamburger by the sea. 8 people only two drinking $600. Wow.

A fun fact about this restaurant and island - Jimmy Buffett supposewrote the song "Cheeseburger in Paradise" here. A fun nostalgic place to check out if you know who he is. (RIP Jimmy B!) We ordered the House Made Smoked Mahi Fish Dip, it was super fresh, light, and filling at the same time. I ordered the Cabbage Key Famous Cheeseburger with their kettle chips. The burger was good, but next time I would definitely love to try out some of their other things - like the Shrimp Deluxe Entree. And I feel like I am only saying that, because I don't live by the ocean, and want to get all the seafood while near bodies of water. My boyfriend got their Grilled Mahi Sandwich with potato salad. He said he would write a song called "Mahi in Paradise" - meaning the sandwich is phenomenal! Our server was super friendly and kind, as well as the entire staff. I would definitely recommend anyone who can come!

The atmosphere is casual and pure "old Florida", with a funky vibe including hundreds of dollar bills taped to the ceiling and walls. There is seating outside, at the bar, and in a large dining area. We sat in the dining area which has a jungle-like tangle of trees right outside the windows. Service was quick and friendly. The food was just average but pretty on par for this type of restaurant. I had the garden salad with the catch of the day on top which was black grouper. It was decent but didn't blow me away. Overall it's a fun place to stop if you're out boating in the area, but fining dining it is not.

Ok this place is a total dive. It was recommended to me by a local bartender who seems to know her…read morestuff. I came here after a round of golf. Everyone loved my golf hat- "play bad fast". I looked at the outdoor bar but every single seat was taken. All the outdoor tables were booked. So I went inside and saw the inside bar was also full. A table for ten and a table for 6 had departed and needed to be bussed, but both were too much for just one person. So I checked in w the hostess and she asked - booth or table. I wanted table. I got a nice table by the river! Lovely views. Exactly what I wanted. Menus were dropped and soon, Sam was checking in on me. I was so hungry, I had looked at the menu and pics on my way there. I went for the crab cake appetizer and the Gold Wave cocktail. For my entree, I was torn between the Grouper Reuben and the Sea Dog (fried grouper on a long roll, topped with all sorts of goodness). Sam said grouper Reuben was his choice. He asked if I wanted grilled, blackened or fried. I told him to surprise me. For my side, I had the choice of (more) coleslaw (it has coleslaw instead of sauerkraut), fries, sweet potato fries, or a side house or Cesar salad for $4 more. I went w the house salad and their standard citrus vinaigrette. Salad and crab cake came out first. Salad was a huge portion- romaine (some pieces needed better washing), red onion galore, halved cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices. It was great, but needed croutons. The crab cake was the perfect size for one person. It had a whole grain mustard remoulade sauce. Yum! It had some filler but also had a lot of crab. I enjoyed it. The grouper Rueben came out hot!!!! Served with a side of coleslaw and a pickle. I added some needed salt. Boy that fish filet was huge. Sam had put it in grilled for me. Healthy. Nice. I ate half and then I was stuffed. I filled up on the salad and crabcake apparently. I enjoyed the views of boaters going by. It started to rain hard and the folks outside just stayed there. The overhang must've been protecting them well. My server, Sam, was around often to answer my questions. Apparently the grouper Reuben market price is only $21. And if you want redfish or mahi, the price is the same- $21! That's crazy. What a deal. The gold wave is made with Elijah Craig; Good ol Kentucky bourbon. And for dessert, they have cheesecake, peanut butter pie, mud pie, key lime pie, coconut sorbet and orange cake (which he says is a local favorite). I was too stuffed to buy but happy to hear the list. Overall I had a wonderful meal and service was really good. I would recommend adding croutons to the salad, and cleaning up the bathrooms regularly. This place ain't fancy. It's a dirt parking lot. The tables are naked. Folks come casual. However, the prices are great and the food does the talking. Come check them out.

We ordered an Arnold Palmer and a Ponce De Leon margarita, mozzarella sticks, shrimp basket, chicken fingers basket and (2) Florida orange cakes to go. Mozzarella sticks- average. Shrimp basket- good but tropical slaw was store bought with pineapple added. Chicken fingers- good not great, onion rings, good not great . Margarita- strong. Biggest problem- from 9-18 people just standing around talking, making staff walk around them. Other problems- some people just walk in past the front desk and just seat themselves ( the privileged). Total bill with tip $100 . Don't need to travel a half hour to just be ok. Won't be back.
