    Conch fritters, mini crab cakes
    Nola S.

We came here two years ago and could not wait to return on our vacation this year! The conch fritters are a must try, they are so delicious. You could taste how fresh the crab was inside of the crab cakes and the blackened Mahi was perfectly cooked and seasoned, as were the sides. The seafood ravioli was regular ricotta ravioli with shrimp, Mahi, and snapper in an alfredo sauce. The sauce was light and flavorful unlike most heavy, thick alfredo sauces. This BYO is perfect for a date night when visiting North Captiva Island . Reservations are a must- they do not take walk ins. It is very unassuming upon entering, but the food makes up for it!

We had two great dinners and the staff is wonderful. If you're on the island eat here but make your reservations because no Walk ins. Portions are huge and I recommend the crab stuffed red snapper. Save room for desert.

The bird is the word! And we certainly found out when Chef Dave and Kia broke out the entertainment for my daughters 11th birthday dinner! Amazing people, delicious food! We highly recommend anything on the menu as everything was wonderful. Best filet mignonette ever, Mahi special was to die for and the ribs were from another planet. 10/10 would recommend!!! Make reservations early as they only cater to a limited amount of tables and do their best to make each one have the time of their life!

Wow what an amazing dinner and excellent service. The wife and I each had the blackened mahi mahi with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies (pictured). My son had a pecan crusted sea bass and my daughter had penna pasta with chicken in a creamy vodka sauce. All of the dishes were delicious and the desserts were to die for. By far the best place to eat on the island, very bummed that we found it on our last night. Highly recommend this place, it is leaps and bounds better than the other "fancy" restaurant on the island and about half the price.

Tried to go by boat but a very rude gentleman, whom looked chef/cook like, yelled out the door... 'we don't take boat traffic'.

Ask the Community - Over the Waterfront

Is this a "boat up" restaurant? Looking for a place to stop while out on a Friday on the boat?

Yes, you can definitely dock there, not sure about any restrictions. I'd definitely make a reservation (they have limited seating and are the only decent food on the island) and also call and make sure that they're open before going.

Trying to make a reservation for 4/19 and can't get an answer on the phone? Any suggestions?

I know there are days when they answer the phone. I don't remember the days. Try calling the Chamber of commerce.

Has anyone had trouble getting through?, I've called several times and it rings but then it's nothing but static.

People need to text 2396899335 for reservations. We are trying to get our social media updated thank you

Is that number still in service? I've called a half a dozen times and it rings out and asks for a passcode. I'd like to try to make a reservation, but have no way of contacting the restaurant.

The number is still in service sometimes the weather knocks the phone out so you'll have to go in around lunch hours and see if the chef can make the reservations

    What is the phone number?

239-472-4762 is the number I call to make reservations. Call during lunch or afterwards... & they close on Monday & Tuesday

The cocktails were stunning, both visually and in flavor, setting the perfect relaxed island mood. Located at the corner of Captiva DR and Andy Rosse Lane this is a perfect spot to pick up things you need without going back to Sanibel. In fact, I think it may be the only grocery store in Captiva. It is not huge, but it does have all the essentials including liquor, beer, and wine. They're affiliated with Bailey's General Store in Sanibel ( RIP until they renovate) meaning they've been serving Sanibel and Captiva since 1899. I know that, because it's on my cute General store tote I purchased when visiting recently. Service is welcoming and friendly, as you can expect from an Island store. There is also a small deli for you to order sandwiches if you want an on-the-go beach lunch. I remember walking down Andy Rosse as a kid from the house we rented with my abuelo to get coffee for the house every morning on vacation, and I'm happy this spot still exists to keep the memories going for folks enjoying the island. Wishing the Bailey's and Island store team the most success as they rebuild. And if you have the pleasure of visiting the island as it continues to reopen restaurants and businesses, be sure to make time to do your groceries and locally owned and operated spots like this.

This is a great shop, if you need last minute items. It is essentially a grocery store, but they have a few additional items such as beer, wine, liquor and gifts such as cups, magnets and shirts. We stopped here a few times on our last visit to the island. There is always something you forget, and we appreciate shopping at a local mom and pop place as opposed to a large retailer. It is very small. They have a cooler with fruits and vegetables as well as other cold items, dry stock items, such as breads, sauces, chips, etc. We noticed that they were also making sandwiches to go. This is super convenient as the beach is directly down the road. For a small store, their wine and beer sections are very large. They even have a walk-in cooler so you can grab drinks cold already. We were able to find almost everything we were looking for or missed bringing with us. My only issue with them was the service. We stopped her a couple of times and the two gentlemen that worked here were always friendly and nice. They welcomed us and said hello. The lady who worked here, at the register was not friendly at all. No greeting, she had mean looks on her face and was honestly just not very nice. It was a shame since this is such a little local shop. We will continue to come here. It is convenient for where my family stays and we always run out of something such as bread or forget something. It is a perfect place to grab those last-minute items. I have even purchased some items here for gifts. They used to have a large liquor section that sold local rum, but I did not see that this time. I might have overlooked it though. Ever since the hurricane we are truly happy to see these businesses coming back and will continue to support them when we visit. If you are in the area I would definitely stop here for any last-minute items, you need.

Keep in mind, this restaurant does not accept cash or card and is only available to resort guests via room charge. Thankfully, my family and I are staying at the recently reopened resort and were able to enjoy dinner at Redfish last night. The weather was rainy all day, so we wanted an excuse to leave the villa to try something new. Alisha was our server and she was super nice. We started with a round of Dirty Martinis. We also got chicken wings and steamed clams for the table. Both were good, but I loved the chicken wings. My dad and I split the Red Fish with rice and veggies for dinner and I loved it. It was a good portion and very fresh. Pricing was fair for the portions and freshness. This spot is open for lunch and dinner daily so it's a great option to enjoy a meal poolside. On a nice day the views here would be divine. So happy to see the resort getting back to normal and offering these great options for their guests.
