I have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally got the chance to go today. I ordered the double matcha, while my friend tried the creme brulee coffee. My matcha was good, but not my favorite since I still prefer the twice matcha at Off Beat. I do wish this one had a matcha foam top. I also tried my friend's coffee and thought it was pretty good. The cream top had just the right amount of sweetness and balanced perfectly with the coffee.
Finally got a chance to try this spot, I love their aesthetics and the simplicity of everything. I couldn't decide what to order and honestly wanted to try it all. I ended up getting the Melona Matcha, but I completely forgot to ask for less sugar since I don't like my drinks too sweet. The Melona flavor definitely overpowered the matcha and was overall way too sweet for me. I do like how deep green the matcha looks. I like the they write down how many grams of matcha are in each drink, it's helpful for me because I'm sensitive to caffeine so it's good to know how much I'm drinking. I'll have to come back next time to try their other regular matcha drinks to be able to compare with other local spots I like.
I came here after going to an event across the street at District56. This spot has been on my list to try because of their matcha drinks and how they sell baked goods from MelloBun Bakery. Walking in, I love how minimalistic and aesthetic the interior design was. It was very simple yet felt really clean. There were no other customers inside when I got there so I was able to order right away. I ended up ordering the Melona Matcha drink which came out right away. Sipping on the drink, I felt that the Melona syrup overpowered the matcha taste a bit where the matcha was a pretty subtle. I probably also should've asked to adjust the sweetness level but I was okay with how the drink turned out regardless. Overall, I'm glad I got to finally check this place out and I would definitely come back to try out more of their menu!
I've been wanting to stop in for a while and finally had the chance to! There's a good amount of parking available and even though the cafe is small, it's cozy and there are places to sit inside. They offer drinks and then Mellobun Bakery items for food. I loved the variety of options from classic coffee options, to sweeter choices, matcha, and even some items you don't always see. Their team was very friendly, they not only greeted us but we talked about their menu and they recommended a few things before we made our decision. Their menu is split up into espresso, hojicha, matcha, and spring. The spring section had seasonal offerings including the item I ordered, the Jeju Orange Americano ($7.50) which I upgraded with sparkling water (+1.50). I've seen this combination of espresso, orange (in this case puree), and sparkling water become more popular and have tried it a couple times. Theirs was delicious and refreshing, a perfect summer beverage. We hung out here for a while and it was a nice spot for a meeting. It wasn't too loud and while it started getting busier while we were there we didn't feel pressured to grab and go. I'll definitely be back and next time I'll try a bite from Mellobun too!
First time visiting this coffee cafe. Specializing in Vietnamese coffee. I ordered the Vietnamese sea salt coffee, it was good. Not sure I got the caffeine kick I wanted but I'll try other items on the menu. They offer espresso, matcha and hojicha. There's also small selection of Japanese pastries from a local baker. I tried the matcha muffin and yes, tasty. Small, comfy cafe with merch to purchase. They also feature local young artists which I thought was pretty cool. Staff were friendly and there's a few tables to chill and talk with friends.
I've been here 2x already and the vibes really are great in this coffeeshop. Ive tried their vietnamese coffee and matcha and for both of those drinks - nothing is watered down and the flavor of the coffee/matcha is super rich, creamy, and tasty. Great customer service and love that there's a parking lot for the coffee shop. I'm from San Diego/Orange County and so this coffee shop really gave off OC/LA vibes which I love! It's nice to see a new coffee shop like this in the Elk Grove!!
Hidden behind a pillar in Elk Grove Landing, it's this cute coffee spot with LA vibe - Ca Phe Haru. First and foremost, I love coffee/drinks spot with default sweetness as low (instead of high sweetness and I always have to ask for "less sweet") I felt like I'm finally being heard! LOL. No extra charge for Oak Milk and they only sell Matcha and coffee. No fruit drinks or tea. So, you know they have mastered it. The Original Matcha has an unique savory "unami" richness and slightly sweeten. Nothing complicated! It comes close to the Matcha I had in Tokyo. They use Uji Matcha, which is premium and high grade. The next time I go back, I want to try the Banana Matcha. My son had the Hojicha Original. A little more nutty, smooth and sweeter. I like it. They also have a small selection of sweets. I couldn't leave without trying the Hojicha Cheesecake. It looks like a cinnamon bun and taste like a cinnamon bun. I'm not sure why it's called cheesecake. There are layers of Hojicha swirl in the middle. It was delicious and can't wait to try other sweet treats.
Ca Phe Haru is my newest Vietnamese coffee shop addiction ever since trying it for the very first time last week. The shop is located in a small strip mall, so parking may be limited. The ambiance and bright and cheery, with some seating if you want to chill there, but most people get their drinks to go. Staff are friendly and I was very pleasantly surprised by how quickly my drinks were made both times I went. The first time I ordered a pandan Vietnamese coffee, and that was one of the smoothest Vietnamese coffees I've ever had. The pandan was such a perfect pairing and made the drink extra creamy. Sometimes I get slight headaches when having Vietnamese coffee because of its strength, but not this one at all. The second time I went, I ordered the banana matcha with oat milk. I loved the natural taste of the banana and the cookie crumble was a wonderful touch. The matcha itself was again super smooth. It wasn't as matcha-y as I would have liked, but regardless, still a great drink. They have specialty coffees as well if you want to branch out and try those! The processes by which those coffees are made are super neat, with some intriguing notes for sure. There are some items for sale on the shelves as well, especially some really cute Pokémon themed goodies. I will definitely be back again very soon!
Stop by today after getting my eyebrows threaded and noticed the shop was next-door. I had a sea salt coffee with an Oreo cookie. Both were amazing. The coffee- I asked for light sea salt foam with light ice, and not too sweet. My drink was to die for, the service was great and staff are friendly. They opened about two months ago and are doing great. Prices are normal. The ambiance is a regular coffee shop very family oriented, family friendly seat seating area for loved ones great service. I'll be back.
I came here on a Sunday around 12:30 PM with a friend who had been wanting to try their banana matcha for a while. Unfortunately, just like the other times she's come, it was already sold out. That's really the main reason I'm giving four stars -- I'd love to try it, but it seems like you have to come super early if you want to get it before it's gone. Even though we missed out on that, we still had a great experience. We ordered the crème brûlée matcha and the sea salt matcha, and both were so good. The flavors were really well balanced and you can tell they take their matcha seriously. The menu itself is pretty small, which you can see when you get there, but they also offer a few pastries that looked really good. We didn't try any this time, but I'd definitely be interested in getting one next visit. The space itself is on the smaller side. There are a few seats inside where people can sit and enjoy their drinks, and they also have some merch art inside. It's located in a store parking lot, so there is parking available, but I could see it getting pretty packed during busier times. Overall, I still had a great experience and definitely plan on coming back. Hopefully one day I'll finally get to try the banana matcha!
Since Ca Phe Haru has opened their storefront, I've been back three times. Their menu seems to be frequently (and extensively) changing, which was disappointing when I wanted to try a specific drink they no longer had on my most recent visit. I've tried a couple of their Vietnamese Coffee drinks, their seasonal Goguma Latte, Strawberry Matcha and Twice Hojicha. The majority of these drinks are not on their current menu. I wasn't impressed with my matcha and hojicha drinks, so I'm sticking with their viet coffee and perhaps seasonal drinks from now on. (The five star rating is for their coffee.) I liked the Goguma Latte, it had actual bits of sweet potato in it. They also are currently serving bakery items from Mellobun, which I've tried on a couple occasions. Drinks have been out fast when I've visited. Personally, I recommend for their Viet coffee but do wish they'd keep their menu a bit more consistent. (I loved their Coconut Vietnamese Coffee!)
Came around 10 on friday morning. Not too busy at first but def more ppl as it got later towards noon. I got the regular matcha with whole milk, total was 7.80. Normally i dont usually buy drinks bc i can make at home but just to try this place. It was quite milky, not too sweet which was good but not much of a strong matcha flavor. I understand it is a "single shot" or wtv but very very milky imo. For almost 8$ lwk expected better, especially jus coming back from japan and getting matcha/hojicha drinks there lol. Inside is quite small, 3 small circular tables and like a wall table with chairs. Staff is nice and friendly but the matcha was a wee bit disappointing.
Thought I would start off the new year with one of the most amazing coffees I've found!! Today I went with: Double Matcha $8.50 Sea Salt Hojicha $7.75 The double matcha foam top was light, creamy, and not too dense. The matcha itself was nice and full bodied. I tend to like my matcha on the sweeter side to decrease the grass taste, and I thought this was PEEEERRRRFECT. Not too sweet, but sweet enough to not taste like pure nature. Sea Salt Hojicha was also very good!! The sea salt cheese foam top was definitely denser than the matcha foam top, because I could NOT get that perfect sip that has foam + tea, so you definitely have to mix it before drinking. After mixing though, omg HEAVEN. I love a salty/sweet combo and this hit the mark. The hojicha is perfectly toasty, nutty, and inherently tastes like roasted caramel/chocolate/coffee without being too bitter. Great start to 2026
pulled up here for the first time and it was pretty darn good man. i ordered the sea salt hojicha (first time trying hojicha too) and man it was delicious might i say. it's prob an acquired taste tho cus i can see why ppl wouldn't like it. but it has like a nutty aroma to it which was quite pleasant to me. but the one downside tho... $8 for it bruh. crazy tax ngl. dn costed an alexander hamilton. but yeah it was good tho but just expensive. i also got it w oat milk too which didnt cost extra, so thats pretty fire. also inside the cafe is pretty tight and compact so like dont bring the entire friend group ngl. but yeah nice staff too. good bevs, but lwk overpriced read more
I so enjoyed trying new coffee shop especially when it offer vietnamese coffee !!Staff were welcoming and friendly !! We got the viet coffee with a sea salt and pandan foam ' I did like the ratio of more coffee and less foam! Both foam had a good flavor as for the viet coffee its was a bit sweeter for me! Came to their truck since I've been wanting to try this place out. Ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee and that was good and strong with flavor. Also go the guava matcha but that really tasted so bad, not sure why but just wasn't my cup of tea. I've have that mix before somewhere else and it was good but not sure what went wrong with this one. Would come again to try their other drinks since they do have lots to choose from. read more

I never got the chance to check them out when they were operating from a truck. I love matcha, but have a hard time if drinking it too late in the day due to the caffeine. When I hold you, I feel at peace. Each sip makes me smile, knowing the day after, ill have more of you. You have such a perfect balance between being bold and sweet.. and really when I close my eyes at night, I think of you, DOUBLE MATCHA (CREAMY). After trying a lot of matcha shops in Sac / Eg, this is one of my favorite places to get double matcha. For me personally, the matcha, milk, sweetness balance is perfect for my palette. Wow is all I can say. My husband just brought home this Viet Coffee and OMG it was so amazing. It was strong and well balanced with just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the bold flavor of the drink. I enjoyed it with my breakfast and this has kept me fueled all morning. Absolutely love this place and I'm so happy to be supporting such a yummy small business , everyone is so nice and informative about the sourcing of their products as well as quick with the service and consistent with the drinks I love that I have a place for high quality matcha drinks as well as viet coffee according to my siblings they loved it ( I don't drink coffee ) but they got the viet coffee with sea salt cold foam and they said it was amazing as well! Okay not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical after seeing photos of the Vietnamese coffee drinks here being almost 50% cream (not my preference on cream-to-coffee ratio), but, like, the pandan cream top here is *chef's kiss.* Lusciously tasty and it pairs really well with the Vietnamese coffee. I welcome this ratio here!! Lol. The taste of the coffee itself is mildly-roasty compared to other Vietnamese coffee drinks that I've had. Very well-balanced actually (even though I personally like it super roasty) and I'd say it's perfect for those who have never tried Vietnamese coffee and want to try it out. Operates via food truck between South Sac and Stockton (I visited the truck when it was at the Elk Grove Shell gas station that's off of Bond Rd and near In-N-Out). once upon a time there was a small truck selling shaved ice and coffee and eventually evolved into a full blown store. Me and my family were avid fans since the very beginning and seeing the drinks constantly getting better has made us come back every single time when we're in Sacramento. I loveee love the matcha drinks especially because it's so smooth and perfectly sweet compared to places that have that bitter aftertaste. Hojicha is also pretty good!! This might be the best spot in Elk Grove for Vietnamese Coffee + Matcha! I was first introduced to Ca Phe Haru last year before they opened this location. They did a pop-up in front of City Hall for all city employees, at that time I tried the mango shaved ice and the sea salt Vietnamese coffee. My coworkers tried multiple other drinks and everyone, including me, loved all the items. Everything is hand crafted to order, and the results speak for themselves. My boyfriend and I came to the storefront once it was open around Veterans day, because they were offering a Veterans Day discount. We never expect discounts on Veterans Day and often avoid most corporations who are offering discounts due to the crowds, but we are also happy to support quality small businesses. Earlier this week I ordered the 2x Matcha w/oatmilk (formally known as Double Matcha). Normally I don't order my drinks with oatmilk but I remembered that the baristas recommended this and decided to try it. This was the best matcha latte I've had in the many coffee places I've been to in Elk Grove and Sacramento. The earthiness yet subtle sweetness is well balanced with the oatmilk and high-quality matcha. I also grabbed some pastries from Mellobun Bakery, which I believe is operated independently by a female baker. Yesterday I ordered the Original Salt Bread and Castella, both were AMAZING. I highly recommend the salt bread. My coworker ordered the Banana Vietnamese Coffee and said it was the best latte she has ever had. Today my coworkers and I ordered a 2x Matcha, Sea Salt Coffee, and banana matcha. The only pastries left were the Castella and Black Sesame Rice Krispy, both were also delicious but I think my favorite is the OG Salt Bread. We wanted to try the Cinnamon Honey Butter Salt Bread but they were completely sold out. The cafe itself is tucked into a small shopping center off of Elk Grove Blvd and Laguna Springs drive. It's only a couple minutes off of the freeway, and parking is decent. Just a tip, if you dont find any parking in front of the business, there is a back lot if you drive behind Kintaro. You would just have to walk up to the store. I love the clean aesthetic in the shop, and there are a couple tables to sit at as well as a small bar/barstool area. It's definitely cozy, and there is often people inside so we have never sat down but we usually are getting our items to-go anyways. read more

First time here and loved their Matcha and Viet Coffee. Initially came here for their Strawberry Matcha but they didn't have any so I just got a regular Matcha with Oat Milk. The barista told me I could adjust the sweetness after trying which I should've done that before leaving. I also got the Pandan Viet Coffee, which was also really tasty. read more
Ever crave some Hawaiian Shave ice but don't have the means to fly to Hawaii for it? Well make your way to Elk Grove for your shaved ice fix instead! Seriously haha. This is the only place I've found that has Legit Hawaiian Shaved Ice. BUT it also has great tasting Vietnamese Coffee! I'm so glad they have a spot that's close to home. They don't have a physical building, but instead a little cute trailer with their mascot. I wonder if it has a name haha. Anyways, on to the review. Their Hawaiian Shave ice was very fluffy. The syrups and topping they use are very tasty. It does not taste artificial like other places. We ended up getting 3 Shaved Ice when we came here. We got: 1. Cherry Cola Float: It tasted exactly like what it says, a cherry cola float haha. The flavors complemented each other well, and my son really enjoyed it. 2. Captain LeM'erica: This had an awesome combination of flavors. Blue raspberry, tiger's blood, with condensed milk. We added ice cream of course, mochi and Li Hung Mui Powder. This was our favorite! 3. Custom one: I honestly forgot what my kid created haha. But it was good. She also added ice cream and mochi! The take away to this is that any flavor shave ice you choose, it'll be great! Now on to their Vietnamese Coffee. I asked the friendly lady what their popular coffee was. She recommended the Creme Brûlée Coffee. The coffee was spot on and the Creme brûlée cream tasted so good. When we come back there, I'm definitely trying their other flavors. read more

Parked right outside of the Annie Peony art gallery on Elk Grove-Florin at Elk Grove blvd. Behind the EG library. No designated parking but you can pull in and drive around the back of the art gallery to leave. Friendly Staff. Cutest trailer, bright lavender, can't miss it. What we ordered: Coconut Coffee Tropical Sunrise (coconut ice cream) Cherry Cola (vanilla ice cream) Sweet n Sour All of it is bomb- the shave ice is soft and super flavorful. Yum yum. Of all the coffee shops in Elk Grove this adorable little one takes the trophy. The location varies so I suggest checking out their IG for the most recent and current updates! Today I got lucky and caught them in Elk Grove, there's just something about Vietnamese coffee and their delish foam. I came about 9am and no line! I ordered a pandan and a crème brûlée viet coffee and wow! The coffee wasn't acidic it was creamy and sweet and the foams were insane!!!! If you're looking for a place that has speciality drinks done well, highly recommend this place! They just opened and are very passionate about the drinks they put out. I got the classic ca phe sua da and it was strong and the perfect amount of sweetness. My boyfriend got the hojicha which i was able to try and we were big fans of the tea taste. Im not too big on matcha but I was able to try their yuzu matcha and it was such a light refreshing drink. A plus that the staff were super attentive and patient with helping us figure out what we wanted. read more

We came in on a late Thursday afternoon. Upon walking in, the shop was very clean and not busy at all. An employee greeted us right away and let us know she could take our order whenever we were ready. We took a moment to look over the menu since there aren't too many options. We ordered the Original Matcha with whole milk and the Strawberry Matcha. After ordering, we sat down in their seating area, and our drinks were prepared very quickly. The service was attentive, and the well kept interior definitely added to the experience. Unfortunately, upon trying the drinks, we were disappointed. I had high hopes based on how good their matcha looked online and the positive ratings I'd heard, but the matcha flavor just wasn't strong. The Matcha Latte tasted watered down. They do mention that their drinks aren't very sweet, which wasn't a problem for me, but even without sweetness, the matcha flavor should still be pronounced. Considering the drinks were around $8 each with taxes included, it felt pricey for what we received. The cup size was good, but the flavor didn't match the value. Overall, while the clean space and attentive service were definitely positives, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

Ca Phe Bing Bing has quickly become one of my favorite local gems! They popped up on my Instagram one day and saw that they served Vietnamese coffee at the Tesla supercharger station on Elk Grove Blvd. Of course, I had to try them because of my obsession with viet coffee. Their Vietnamese house coffee is absolutely amazing--bold, rich, and perfectly balanced with a salted cream foam. It's the kind of drink that instantly lifts your mood and keeps you coming back. You can really tell they put a lot of care into what they serve, and they are always super friendly and welcoming. They've also got some fun shaved ice options on the menu, which I haven't tried yet--but if they're anything like the coffee, I'm sure they're just as good. Even more exciting--they're opening a store location soon! I'm so happy to see them grow and can't wait to become a regular there too. I'm not sure what their hours will be then but if they open earlier - I'll be going there instead of Starbucks & 18 grams instead! I came here twice now. I got the double matcha both times and my son got the melon matcha. It was not sweet which I liked. They also give free oat milk option. My son liked the melon matcha, although he stated he couldn't taste the melon much. My double matcha was good too, I do prefer the foam to be thicker though. Customer service was great and nice staff. I want to try the coffee series next. I'll be back for more since it's not too far from my house. Cute shop. read more

The Bing Bing trailer was in Elk Grove over the weekend so I was able to try some of their drinks! I was most excited about Thai tea but unfortunately it was the only one unavailable. Instead we picked the salted cheese coffee and creme brulee coffee, and they even threw in a pandan coffee on the house due to the issues with the Thai tea one! That was very kind of them. Ironically the pandan coffee ended up being our favorite one! Usually it's too sweet for me but it actually balanced really well because the coffee is very strong. My next favorite was the salted cheese but would definitely like it to be saltier! The creme brulee coffee was creamy, and would be even nicer with a bruleed topping. Matcha was 10/10. Loved it and it was quick too! Perfect place to journal and meet up with friends for coffee! A few outlets but still a good spot to study and journal too! read more

The place was very cute! I tried their original matcha and banana matcha and both were really good although I did prefer the banana one. It wasn't too sweet and the matcha flavor was strong. The workers were very friendly and helpful and even offered to adjust the drinks if they weren't to our liking. Will be back to try their other drinks read more

I've been so looking forward to this place. I love that it has shave ice, coffee and other drinks. I already had my coffee for the day, so I opted for a li hing lemonade, and I loved it. You can't really get li hing flavored items anywhere here. The staff were very kind. I definitely would like to come back because I love supporting small businesses. read more

Cute little coffee spot with yummy drinks. They are located behind an art studio on Elk Grove Blvd - just keep an eye out for the cute purple trailer. Ordering was super easy and the guy taking orders was friendly and polite. My husband and I got the Pandan and Creme Brulee coffees. I've never seen pandan coffee anywhere else so I was super excited to try it, and it definitely didn't disappoint! Initially I thought there was too much of the pandan cream, but the ratio was perfect. The coffee is nice and strong with a hint of pandan. My husband said the creme brulee was good but nothing special when comparing to other Viet coffee spots we've tried. Wish we lived a little closer so I could frequent the establishment more, but this will just have to be a treat when we're on that side of town. Oh, parking was a little weird because they don't have designated spots, but the service is quick so you can park along the fence and just circle around the studio to exit. read more
