    Hojicha sea salt cream
    Amabel Y.

First time here and I'm impressed with the decor and offerings here. I ordered the hojicha sea salt cream drink and it was delicious! Reminds me of the hojicha from offbeat coffee in Sacramento! Highly recommend this spot and will be coming back for sure! Plenty of parking in the shared plaza!

Went here for some silly drinks with my partner and some pastries on a Saturday afternoon. It's a medium sized establishment with minimal seating. It's somewhat hidden since the door is literally behind a pillar. It's a bright and welcoming cafe with a colorful menu, merch, and pastures. They only serve pastries over the weekend I believe since they collab with bakers. I got their crème brûlée which was a nice dark roast flavor for a good caffeine boost. I got their pandan salt bread and had so much pandan filling it that complimented the salt content. Great experience! Would come again to try more drinks.

Updated visit 6/26/26 Service: simple and friendly Viet Coffee crème brûlée - 4.6 Strawberry Dbl matcha latte - 4.4 Daughter flies in for family wedding super early so she needs a "pick me up" so Ca Phe Haru is the spot! Drinks were excellent and I reordered the crème brûlée to see if I was correct in my original review. It was BETTER the 2nd time around! My daughter went with the strawberry dbl shot matcha latte and it was gone before we arrived home (2.5 miles), needless to say that was a winner too! Coffee and matcha done right when there's plenty of competition around the area...will keep us coming back for more.

My go to matcha and coffee shop in Elk Grove! Fast service, friendly staff, and consistently good drinks. Love their regular matcha latte with oat milk, smooth, creamy, earthy and they don't up-charge for oat milk! Their vanilla latte is my next favorite, strong coffee with the perfect amount of vanilla sweetness. Pretty small shop, so there's not much tables to sit at and do work. Would recommend for a quick grab n go spot.

Get the melona matcha!! Been here twice now and both times consistently good. They use high quality matcha here and they don't make it overly sweet to not mask the matcha flavor. They can adjust sweetness to your liking but mine has been perfect every time. service has always been friendly every time we've come in. Small interior but good amount of seating to hang out. I just wish they were dog friendly cause we would definitely come more often

    Banana viet coffee

I was craving a banana coffee, so I decided to check out this spot. Even though it wasn't on the menu, they were kind enough to make one for me. The coffee itself was very strong, which made the banana flavor hard to notice. It was topped with a cookie crumble that tasted good, but it made the drink difficult to sip without a straw. If you take your time finishing your drink, the crumble can get a bit soggy by the end. Overall, the coffee was good, but I'm not sure it was worth the nearly $9 price tag They also sell salt bread here. I didn't try any this visit, but I'd be interested in giving it a shot next time. The space has limited seating, so it could be difficult to find a spot to wait during busy times without getting in the way. On the plus side, my drink was prepared quickly.

BTS ARMY girls retreat outing. I felt the menu offered a lot but kept me changing my mind. The cafe was clean & staff were polite. Drinks were decent. The cookies delicious.

I've been wanting to stop in for a while and finally had the chance to! There's a good amount of parking available and even though the cafe is small, it's cozy and there are places to sit inside. They offer drinks and then Mellobun Bakery items for food. I loved the variety of options from classic coffee options, to sweeter choices, matcha, and even some items you don't always see. Their team was very friendly, they not only greeted us but we talked about their menu and they recommended a few things before we made our decision. Their menu is split up into espresso, hojicha, matcha, and spring. The spring section had seasonal offerings including the item I ordered, the Jeju Orange Americano ($7.50) which I upgraded with sparkling water (+1.50). I've seen this combination of espresso, orange (in this case puree), and sparkling water become more popular and have tried it a couple times. Theirs was delicious and refreshing, a perfect summer beverage. We hung out here for a while and it was a nice spot for a meeting. It wasn't too loud and while it started getting busier while we were there we didn't feel pressured to grab and go. I'll definitely be back and next time I'll try a bite from Mellobun too!

We recently been coming to Ca Phe Haru for the matcha & coffee (espresso base drinks). The service is friendly and drinks are consistent. They don't charge extra for oat milk so that's nice. I would prefer a little bit less ice in my matcha when I request it but flavor is good. Ambiance is modern and minimalist. Would definitely recommend to matcha & coffee lovers.

Pandan Coffee was a 5/5 Cute little spot to have a little study session or have hangout one on one with a friend. Music was great. The person up front let us know to ask her any questions if we had any. Great. Customer service!Would come back!

First time visiting this coffee cafe. Specializing in Vietnamese coffee. I ordered the Vietnamese sea salt coffee, it was good. Not sure I got the caffeine kick I wanted but I'll try other items on the menu. They offer espresso, matcha and hojicha. There's also small selection of Japanese pastries from a local baker. I tried the matcha muffin and yes, tasty. Small, comfy cafe with merch to purchase. They also feature local young artists which I thought was pretty cool. Staff were friendly and there's a few tables to chill and talk with friends.

I've been here 2x already and the vibes really are great in this coffeeshop. Ive tried their vietnamese coffee and matcha and for both of those drinks - nothing is watered down and the flavor of the coffee/matcha is super rich, creamy, and tasty. Great customer service and love that there's a parking lot for the coffee shop. I'm from San Diego/Orange County and so this coffee shop really gave off OC/LA vibes which I love! It's nice to see a new coffee shop like this in the Elk Grove!!

Hidden behind a pillar in Elk Grove Landing, it's this cute coffee spot with LA vibe - Ca Phe Haru. First and foremost, I love coffee/drinks spot with default sweetness as low (instead of high sweetness and I always have to ask for "less sweet") I felt like I'm finally being heard! LOL. No extra charge for Oak Milk and they only sell Matcha and coffee. No fruit drinks or tea. So, you know they have mastered it. The Original Matcha has an unique savory "unami" richness and slightly sweeten. Nothing complicated! It comes close to the Matcha I had in Tokyo. They use Uji Matcha, which is premium and high grade. The next time I go back, I want to try the Banana Matcha. My son had the Hojicha Original. A little more nutty, smooth and sweeter. I like it. They also have a small selection of sweets. I couldn't leave without trying the Hojicha Cheesecake. It looks like a cinnamon bun and taste like a cinnamon bun. I'm not sure why it's called cheesecake. There are layers of Hojicha swirl in the middle. It was delicious and can't wait to try other sweet treats.

Once I entered, I could see why there were so many people trickling in, they had so many drinks I wanted to try! But I went with the banana matcha and vietnamese egg coffee. Both were delicious. The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

Parking was confusing, didn't realize it was in a church and there wasn't really obvious signage from the parking lot that you're in the right spot. I had to look at the other review pictures to be like okay, I am here. Interior is cute and modern, but lacking that lived in feel I prefer for coffee shops. Service was quick. The coffee itself seems to lean towards biblical (lol?) food items. Think olive oil, dates, tahini, honey. I got the Tahini Einspanner because how fun, I can get some tastes of tahini and date but the whip and syrup didn't mix well into the drink despite me aggressively trying so it just lasted like a $7 plain latte. I almost had to bite the whip because it was so thick. Seems like they're using quality ingredients so the intention is there, the executions needs some refinement.
