2 1/2 years ago, in the middle of COVID, We started the remodel of our home. It was a sizable undertaking (the kitchen and 2 bathrooms got full remodel. New flooring throughout. Paint throughout and a couple of other things). CA Kitchens helped us pick out what we dreamed our remodel would look like when finished. We had a plan. Laborers were hard to find, and material costs rose dramatically. The project took longer than we hoped, but we were pleased with the end result. We still get compliments on the work they did. Now, we have had a couple of issues crop up. The shower grout had turned brown, and the vinyl floor had some defects that couldn't be ignored. They sent a worker to resolve the matters. He acid washed the shower floor and recaulked the edges. Then he resealed the floor. It looks 1000 times better. Today, he and another worker came by and replaced the bad planks. As they finished up, I noticed another plank had lifted where they had temporarily placed the refrigerator. He called the owner and was told to fix the floor. To say we were long overdue for a kitchen upgrade is a huge understatement. We kept putting it off because while we knew generally what we wanted we didn't know how or IF we could make it happen in our relatively small space. And then in stepped Elias. Elias was recommended to us by close friends of ours who recently had a beautiful kitchen and bath remodel done by him. Elias came to the house to meet with us and see what he was working with. He listened to what we liked and didn't like. Listened to what we wanted and what we wouldn't do without and he came up with a beautiful design. CA Kitchen and Bath completed our 2 bathrooms on time, which was important to us because we had twins on the way and wouldn't be able to do a major remodel after. Any remodel will be inconvenient, but they completed the first bathroom before starting on the second which really helped. This was my first remodel and I was learning the process. Are you thinking of remodeling your kitchen? If so, DO NOT USE Ca Kitchen Remodel and bath. Initially we felt Elias was a good match but as the progress progressed we knew we had made a big mistake. His communication and lack of attention to details was less than satisfactory which caused us additional time and expense. Elias told us someone would come to the house during the remodel. No one ever did. At the end of the remodel, after Elias finally came, he did not notice that two new outlets had to be GFI. As the contactor, he should have known the code. It took 3 times for the city to come out to sign off of the final permit. The lack of detail and customer satisfaction is abhorrent. We are beyond disappointed. Awful Quality, Worse Experience Walk Away! We contracted for a 6 week Kitchen/Bath/Flooring remodel. The selling process was easy and Richard (sales manager) seemed great.... Until day 1 of work. After that EVERYTHING went bad. We had workers less than 1/2 of the time, but had to be available Mon-Sat, "In case" they were to come. We never heard until day of when people were to show up, and they were late 90% of the time. NO project manager, EVER on site. Their QC was having a worker text the owner a picture at the end of each day. "Honor System" We had unlicensed workers doing electrical and plumbing, leading to failures of both, code violations and the need to hire licensed contractors to correct After 4 months they abandoned the project, continually saying they would finish the next day, but never did. Everything was subpar quality. Another contractor said "this is lower than what I would use to flip a home' All areas are failing and we will need a total re-do Look at Contractor State License Board and dig in (Look into license 924081). The owner, Elias had his prior license revoked due to the exact same things we list below. Read the other reviews that are 1 star you will see the same pattern. We had a design appointment scheduled for today from 2-4pm with either "Richard or Paul". When we called to today at 1pm to confirm exact time of arrival, the man who picked up the phone said they won't be coming today. He was rude and said "I don't want to do business with you" when I told him that I it was difficult for me to reschedule.... If they throw words like that around when the project had not even started, could you imagine if you are in the middle of a project and had issues? Terrible customer communication and service. They didn't even bother to call me to tell me they weren't coming. What a waste of my time! read more

Beware...if it sounds too good, don't do it, walk away! Be careful if you decide to sign a contract with this company. I encourage you to do your research on this company. Sort Yelp reviews; newest first, filter by rating; one star and see all the similar issues and pay attention to the unprofessional business responses. Mr. Elias Mazloum contractor license has been revoked, you can look this up on the Contractor State License Board (license 924081) and the business is now working under Ms. Faten Mazloum's contractor license, their business model has NOT changed! We contracted for 12 weeks, complete home remodel, including plumbing repipe. I worked with Richard, the salesperson, for a few months, before signing the contract. Elias and Richard made a lot of promises and commitments to get the contract signed. The company MISREPRESENTED and failed on every level, timeline, promises, commitments, poor quality of materials (Home Depot defect/returns), poor workmanship (handypersons from Craig's List,), non-license professionals. They do nothing custom as promised, my project looks like a DIY gone wrong. We were adamant that all cabinets be custom built and made in the USA, this was non-negotiable for us. Richard said that the cabinets would be custom built in their shop in Huntington Beach, CA, they do not have a shop in HB. Cabinets were delivered in boxes from Malaysia. The cabinets are flipper grade or lower, worst cabinets ever! Make sure the contract/SOW clearly states custom cabinets, manufacturer/brand of cabinets, etc. Cabinets are cracked, chipping, dents, marks, non-aligned properly, etc. flooring is failing and everything they touched looks like a DIY project. The poor quality of materials and poor workmanship does not equal the premium price I paid. Starting with week 1 demo, I should have seen the writing on the wall, workers showed up 2 days the first week, a week or so would go by and no one showed up, this was the pattern for several months. No project manager on-site, Elias rarely physically inspected the project after each phase, approved their employee's work, only via facetime or photos. Make sure that permits are pulled as they will take every short cut possible, even if it is a code violation. I am thankful that someone turned our house into the City, as the electrical work in my house was truly unsafe. read more

I'm writing this complaint out of frustration that has been escalating for 3 years with the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. My biggest mistake was to allow them to continue working for us after seeing from day one that the materials they used and the work done were of very poor quality. We kept fixing their mistakes since the workers were not at fault but their boss wouldn't supply the right tools. The big nightmare started with our floor! We have it in the contract that it has life guarantee, yet none of that has been accomplished. The owner kept saying there was a problem of humidity. We had to call a different company and paid extra $200 to check the problem and the result was that it was very poor installation, not humidity. When we complained, the owner started to say that company had no idea what they were talking about and started calling us names. He said WE were crooks! The contract we have that says we have life guarantee has no value to him. He used cheap products and refuses to fix our floor unless we pay more! Every time we go into our kitchen we start to sneeze. Besides the aggravation, we're starting to get sick. This company shouldn't be allowed to fool more people! We booked with Elias after his company was recommended by a co-worker. We decided to do a kitchen refresh. New counters & backsplash, refreshed surface on existing cabinets and refreshed surface on existing hardwood floor. The work started immediately and finished on schedule. A few minor things have come up after the new countertops settled. No one to blame. Not a big deal. We have an older raised foundation home and there have been a few earthquakes. Everything was completely understandable. We needed a few countertop joints re-caulked. And we had a few cabinet doors go out of adjustment. When signing our contract, Elias promised us complete satisfaction and that he would stand by his work if any issues came up. Elias kept to his word. We are very happy to have worked with a contractor that can be trusted to follow up.... As a customer, a big fear is being left hanging after the final payment. I am writing this review because Elias of CA Kitchen has shown me how much he cares about his customers' satisfaction. I have been wanting to remodel my kitchen with new counter tops and backsplash for some time, but I was looking for a countertop that I had in mind. I knew I wanted quartz due to the durability and especially that I didn't have to seal it every 6 months or a year like marble and granite demand. However, I wanted the look of marble which I was having problems locating. Then I found CA Kitchens in the remodeling pamphlets that I got through the mail. When I saw that they have 2 showrooms, I decided that going there would help my search for sure! When I walked into their showroom, the first thing I saw was the exact countertop that I had envisioned. In fact, it was more than what I was expecting! I arrived at the showroom quite late, around 5:30ish but yet, I was greeted very nicely and was given immediate attention. The owner, Elias was very helpful and so was his wife, Faten. After going over what I wanted, Elias came over to my house that same evening to get the measurements for his quote. I was very impressed with his quick service. After the countertops were installed, what really made me happy was that I asked Elias if he could hook up my sink before the backsplash was installed because it was already 4 days without a sink. Although the plumbing work was not going to get done until the backsplash was installed, Elias had his plumber come to my house late in the afternoon to get my faucets and under the sink plumbing done. Hurrah! I now had a working sink as a special favor by Elias. My kitchen was over 30 years old with square tiles and brown grout - awful! From the pictures I've posted, you can see how beautiful the countertop and backsplash are!! I am not fully done with the remodel, but I wanted to share my personal experience with CA Kitchen's service, quality work and reliability. Also, all of the workmen were cordial and friendly. I went to see possibilities of a bathroom renovation with my mom for her new bathroom. The minute we walked in, we were met with immediate questions of what we want and what we're here for without any greeting or showing around of their displays. When we described what we were looking for, all we got was "we can get that" but no photos, mock-ups, displays, etc. to show what they mean by this. When the general contractor came out he immediately bulldozed my mother on her opinions telling her "no you don't want that" then proceeded to argue with her about it for a few minutes. When we asked MULTIPLE times for an estimate of pricing and an overview of time, we were told it would take 4 weeks for a vanity and shower, and they refused to provide any pricing whatsoever as well as refusing to provide an itemized list. If you don't want to be bulldozed in your design choices and desires for your remodel, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. I met CA K&B when a gentlemen came to my condo to quote me on replacing my downstairs tile and carpeting with all laminate hardwood flooring. The quotation was very attractive so I went to the showroom and selected my samples. Within a week or two, I was called on a Friday morning requesting to begin the installation on a Monday. On Monday, the workers showed up on time and began demolition. On Tuesday, about 95% of the installation work was completed. By Wednesday afternoon, all the dust was settling and it was time to clean my condo and move back in. I have nothing but good words for CA K&B and their team. They are friendly, prompt, affordable and they delivered on exactly what was promised. Since completing the renovation on my condo, CA K&B has taken to another condo in my community for even more remodeling. I look forward to working with the CA K&B team again, soon. read more

We had them do our kitchen a few years back. The owner said it would take about 2 weeks. They started the job in July and still did not finish in November. They would have workers come one day a week or not at all. Many no shows after we made sure someone would be there. I work from home so there was no reason to have it go on for months. The owner only shows up to get money. He is rude and condescending. Horrible quality and counter tops did not match from the counters to the island. The cabinets and were falling apart before they even finished with the job. The owner would not make anything right. We were so over it we never had them finish. We just wanted them gone. We are going to redo the kitchen again soon as this was a disaster. I have never written a review before. I just don't want anyone to make the same mistake we did. Avoid this place. read more

Worst contractor ever!! Contracted to remodel the master bath in 3-4 weeks. 10 weeks later finally finished the Master bath with poor quality fixture and poor workmanship. Destroyed the rug in the master bedroom and the shower in another bathroom resulting in additional costs we had to fix. They waited 6 weeks to order the mirrored medicine cabinet, then tried to put a much smaller unit in the bathroom. Elias doesn't respond to calls, but kept making promises he never kept. After 15 weeks the workmanship issues were mostly fixed, we justed wanted him and his company out of our lives. Very poor value for the money we spent. read more
