If you're a fan of overpriced food and slow service look no further than C Ellet's. Let's start with oysters that aren't market priced like most upscale establishments they are 5$ each regardless of where they are sourced from and the ones we had that weren't freshly harvested and sized around a nickel weren't worth the time or money. Pretty sure they came out of a jar and they simply put them back In Reusable halfshells. Next you can select an entry that will be served with cold McDonalds fries and wilted salad drenched in dressing with tiny piece of protein, the largest item on the salad that are easily found are the croutons. Avoid added protein that you will be searching for as you'll find a more pleasing meal at any food court. Read the review is the lesson we learned here and could have avoided a 200$ crappy meal. Family friends came into town and we took them to C. Ellet's for steak. We dined outside, which was really cool. There were a couple of issues. Our waiter was a bit off. He knew the menu but was not very interactive. He seemed to have a slight attitude. Once we finally placed our order our food took about 40 mins to make. Extremely rude service. Sat down at 6:20 and needed to eat before a 8:00 concert. It wasn't even that busy but the waitress took 20 minutes to even come get a drink order. Ambiance is everything here! If you're looking for a great atmosphere regardless of price, this place is for you. Great stop for cocktails and appetizers before a game. Food & drinks are pricey here. This place is hidden in plain site. It's right next to the green lawn at the Battery, and although it's sizable it's easy to miss. The inside is very posh and upscale, which is a bit of a departure from the down home baseball crowd vibes outside. The experience here is great. The waiter was timely and friendly, the food and drinks came out quickly, and it's simply a pleasant space to be in. I ordered a side of mac n cheese and broccolini. Both were soooo good! I have a habit of ordering sides or appetizers as my entree, and I was so happy that their sides are *healthy* portions with excelleeeent flavors. My friend ordered charbroiled oysters, and I ate one to give it a try. It was so good! I thought I didn't like oysters but boy was I wrong. The only downside with this place is that of course the Battery has a ton of events, so if you come on an event night it could take a while to find parking in one of the decks. Wow. As a foodie, restaurant goer and lover of all cocktails and wines, haha, I was very very impressed. My mom and I decided to go to C. Ellet's for happy hour and sat at the bar. The vibe is cute. Upscale, but casual as well. We had the Steak Frites (which for $14 dollars is a decent amount of food), Potato Skins, and the BBQ Prawns (head on) served with warm bread. Those prawns honeyyy, AMAZING. I was sopping up that sauce with bread and it was magical. Our bartenders Traci and James were amazing from start to finish. James made us an amazing red wine sangria that isn't on the menu. I could have slurped that thang down in a matter of 5 minutes, but I didn't want my mom judging me, lol. I actually asked for two more to go because it was so damn good. I sipped on it while walking around the battery after our meal. I was in a party of 3 and we also placed a to-go order. I ordered the cheeseburger with a side salad. It was really good, including the salad. The burger style is a smash burger which was a plus for me. Another order on my party was the steak sandwich au jus with a side of regular fries (not truffle). Their fries were great. They are the thin cut style. I did not try the sandwich but the one who ordered it said it was just OK. The last order in our party was the southern fried chicken. It came with mashed potatoes, Cole slaw, and a biscuit. Unfortunately with the first round received, the chicken was undercooked. After showing our server, she was very apologetic on behalf of the kitchen and they remade the entire meal although the sides from the first round were kept and eaten. Once the meal was remade, she said it was really, really good. We understand things are not always going to be 100% and were really pleased with how the mistake was handled. Me and my friends frequent C.Ellets very often and everything is always excellent. They even have a great kids menu for brunch, my son loves the pancakes. I highly recommend the potato skins, pimento cheese appetizer and the Mac and cheese. I have been here multiple times and the service is always amazing. Whitney and Vanessa were are most recent servers and they were super friendly and attentive. I truly appreciate the quality of service that they bring to C. Ellets. I absolutely love the ambiance of this place! I always go during happy hour, and we normally sit at the bar. They have a pretty good happy hour menu with a special on the oysters. They always have a great selection of fresh oysters that come with the BEST crackers. I was so excited to come to C Ellets. I heard nothing but positive reviews from my peers. We made a reservation for 5 for 7pm. We got there at 6:55 and weren't seating till 7:30. Our waiter was okay, not good nor bad. I started off with the crab Rangoon wantons. They were great appetizers but they were so small it felt like I was paying for a lot more. For my entree, I got the baseball steak and truffle parmesan fries. I ordered my steak medium and as you can see this is anything but. It was tough and salty and the flavor was just lacking. At the point of the evening, I was pretty much over the meal. My fries tasted like they were drenched in truffle and very little seasoning. Now I love truffle fries and it seemed like the overcompensated for the lack of flavor with the fries with an ungodly amount of truffle which was not needed. To make matters worse, the general manager asked our table how was everything. Our table was all underwhelmed by the entire meal and we mentioned that to the manager. Instead of being understanding the first words he said was "why didn't you send it back". At the time when I was over the meal sending it back wouldn't have been worth it, in my opinion. I told the gm how the steak was incredibly salty and fries were not the greatest. His response "we don't use msg in our food". That response sounded outrageous and inconsiderate. He became incredibly defensive and utterly rude. Unfortunately a subpar experience turned sour with the attitude of the general manager. The apps- that steak tartar is a pleasant pop in your mouth it has little pickles and it's like a flavor burst in your mouth! The charbroiled oysters- I don't even have the words and it is served with a perfect dinner role that sops up all that wonderful sauce! I do not eat potato skins, but these are not your normal -try them and thank me later! We also ordered the crab wontons and they did not disappoint! For dinner I ordered the Cantonese Style Smoked Lobster- delicious flavoring and it's served over a bed of crispy kale!!!!!! Ellet's in a panic, and from the moment I explained the situation, their team was incredible. Managers, Michael and Ben quickly came up with a game plan to host our party of 18 in their private room. Allie and Kavin provided warm, attentive service all evening, and the food was phenomenal. Every guest raved about the experience. The buttery mashed potatoes were delightful with the flavor of buttery but no runny buttery oil soft and fluffy. My Denver strip was juicy and perfectly cooked-tender. We went to dinner on Mother's Day. This steakhouse is at truist park so we parked in the red deck and it was a short walk from there. The server we had was great! He accommodated our questions and told us about the specials and gave great suggestions. Where there was an opportunity was that the orders were placed correctly but our food was brought out incorrect. We ordered dishes and salads without bacon and still got them with bacon. My steak was supposed to medium plus but came out medium. My mothers was supposed to be medium well and came out all the way well done. When they had to redo her steak it took 20 mins so we just took it to go because by then the sides we ordered were cold. Appetizers were great. We had pimento cheese and potato skins. However the sides weren't exactly shareable between 3 ppl and were significantly smaller. They did comp my moms steak which was nice gesture. I've been on a search for the best fried chicken in the Atlanta area since I arrived here in 2015. I've eaten at some restaurants with excellent fried chicken. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. C. Ellet's is a nice restaurant at the Battery next to Truist Park. I came here for lunch yesterday after I noticed a sign in front of the restaurant stating that it had all you can eat fried chicken. Hmmm ... I assumed that the chicken must be good if they're offering it as AYCE, right? So I went in. I was seated at the bar by the hostess and was immediately asked by the bartender what she could get for me. I ordered a glass of water and the AYCE fried chicken. During the approximately 15 minutes that I waited for my food, I looked around in the open dining area. The tall stools were comfortable at the bar, and more comfy looking seats were at the long tables and booths. One side of the restaurant facing the baseball stadium is mostly just clear glass that allows a lot of natural sunlight in, contributing to the nice open feel in the restaurant. My food was delivered and everything looked perfect! One piece each of a wing, leg, thigh and breast were on a shiny, gold metal serving dish. That was the highlight of my meal because my dining experience went downhill from there. I started eating the fried chicken, but the food was still too hot to eat. I tried a little taste of the cole slaw. I didn't like the taste. It had a strong vinegary taste, had too much mayonnaise, and it was not thoroughly mixed, which accented the vinegar even more. Later, toward the end of the meal, I looked closely at the bits of cabbage and many parts were blackened - definitely not pepper because the black parts were all on the edges of the cabbage. Did they serve me old cole slaw that should have been thrown away a while ago? Needless to say, I didn't ask for more cole slaw at all during the meal. The biscuit looked delicious! However, when I tried to break apart the top half from the bottom half, I ended up just tearing part of the top half off. I took a bite, and it was flavorless ... and almost room temperature. I then felt the rest of the biscuit - COLD (as in refrigerated) IN THE MIDDLE! Wth??? How did that happen? One of the servers (manager?) came by and asked how everything was going, and I told him that the biscuit was cold. He apologized and told me that they were baking more biscuits and that he would bring one to me as soon as it came out. The chicken leg, wing and thigh were crispy crunchy, but they had retained a lot of the grease. I ate them anyway. I had turned the breast over so that I could cut through the meat, and was disappointed by the looks of the breast and the skin. Not only was the skin greasy, but much of the breast meat was also greasy and overcooked. It was easy to tell which parts were overcooked meat; they were dark brown, hard and difficult to cut through with a butter knife. Since this meal was AYCE, I decided to cut around all the greasy parts and ended up eating dry white meat. It was so dry that I was tempted on asking for some gravy, but decided against asking because who knows what their gravy would've looked and tasted like. I tried the mashed potatoes, and they were very delicious just the way they were! The potatoes had enough moisture that I was able to swallow down the dry breast meat as long as I ate the potatoes and meat together. Why didn't I complain? Because I thought the food couldn't possibly get worse. Boy, was I wrong. One of the servers asked if I wanted more chicken, and I told him that I'd like two legs and a thigh. While I waited for the chicken, he brought me the biscuit that I was waiting for. Ahhhhh! This one was hot and it looked perfect! However (you knew there was going to be a 'however,' right?) the outside of the biscuit was hard (think chewy and inedible), and the inside was doughy, so I put that aside. Within ten minutes, I was served two legs and a thigh, all of which, consistently this time, were overcooked, hard and fully moist-free. After tearing these pieces apart using my fork and knife, I threw in the towel and asked for the check. I'd be surprised if someone working there told me that they make the chicken fresh, and wouldn't be surprised if the chicken came to them previously prepared and frozen. Don't get the AYCE chicken meal anytime soon. Except for the good service, for which I gave a star, and the mashed potatoes, my meal was a disaster! read more

Sunday brunch they have a jazz ensemble (live-stand up bass and guitarist or keyboard) which makes the atmosphere feel really cool and uptown. I used C Ellets to host a business event dinner and our guests enjoyed it. The wine selection is pretty limited. No dress code. My first time I came here, I was quickly greeted and assisted. I forgot her name, but the bartender (with curly blond hair) was very friendly, made me great drinks and was so attentive. While I was sitting down, she gave me this delicious nut mix. So delicious and helpful while I waited for my food. I ordered the H&F burger with truffle fries ($30). It costs extra for fries and to add truffle. It was delicious! So filling and such delicious flavor! Great presentation too! I also had the Letters from Hawaii ($12) and the Jezebel's Garden ($14). I do wish they had a bigger cocktail menu but the drinks I've had are good. I also forgot to mention--the vibes!! Beautiful decor and design of the restaurant. It literally looks like a classy oyster house but it's a steakhouse. Light, airy, beautiful oak wood and marble with brass accents. Midcentury modern with an airiness. The bathroom was nice and clean but they were running low on toilet paper. I did let the manager know but they should at least have extra toilet rolls available for people to refill while they're in the restroom. They also didn't have toilet seat covers which is ridiculous. Not hygienic at all. Bar seating is nice with proper place setting as well. I give this place 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 because the second time I came, service was not the most attentive (the lady bartender who served me my first time wasn't there). I sat down and it was a lot louder than the last time but I didn't even get the nuts. Just inconsistent service. I'd like to say I'd like to come back but the inconsistent service is ridiculous. It's a shame because it's a nice restaurant with good food, good drinks, but inconsistent service. For being a $$$ restaurant, a steakhouse at that I'd expect exceptional service every time to every customer. That's definitely not the case here. I'd like to add that the bartender who served me was far more attentive with better customer service to a regular. He also gave him the nut mix. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a woman, because I'm black, because I didn't order the most expensive thing on the menu but some sort of bias, prejudice and unequal service. I also felt rushed when I was eating which was ridiculous. I didn't appreciate that at all. The bartender who served me didn't rush the couple next to me at all, even though they got there very close to closing. Unbelievable. Not saying he wasn't nice but he definitely putting more effort into the customer service of others around me which is very unfair and leaves diners with a poor experience. They don't give you the options of turkey or chicken sausage there's only pork sausage so I didn't like that and the drinks were just ok. If I had to rate them, I got the cosmopolitan. We went here on a Sunday to celebrate a promotion and were a party of 2. It was game day so it was very busy, I do recommend making a reservation. We sat outside which was fun given the energy of the stadium. We started with a bottle of the house Prosecco and made mimosas. The wine took about 15-20 minutes to arrive given our server was busy. We also order the pimento cheese and fried oysters as an app. The pimento cheese was great, though the portion was small. The fried oyster were tasty as well but I would order them again because of the portion. For our entree we ordered the baseball steak and the any strip: both steaks were very tasty and the side of asparagus we got was great also. For drinks we got a lemon drop and espresso martini as well, loved both. The butter cake was our dessert and we loved it! It is very loud so I would be cautious of sitting outdoors if you want something more quiet. read more

Went to this stake house at The Battery with a few of my co-workers. I just knew I was going to be eating fries and salted broccoli that night, at least I would have a good drink. To my surprise, they have vegan dishes the chef curates that differs based on the produce. Funny thing is, this was one of the best vegan meals I ever had!
