Such a great spot in the Battery!! I have been to this spot a couple times- before a Braves game and a weekday lunch (I work in the area)! And after both, I think this is the perfect spot for a nice dinner on a non game-day weekend or quick meal before a game. It is definitely a slower restaurant that expects their guests to enjoy the meal and take their time. We struggled with that, when we had to get back to work and were close on time. The Chicken salad with Cajun seasoning was delicious, and I love their cocktails!! Definitely a great spot to try if you haven't been! In the heart of the Battery.

I had a truly pleasant business lunch here yesterday. We made reservations. The restaurant was not that crowded and everything was so very kind and accommodating from the hostess to the bartender to those providing service. Our waitress, Gabi, was so sweet. She served us with excellence. This spot is in a great location--just near the main entrance of the ballpark and parking in the Red Deck is best. I started with the Crab Rangoons. Honestly, they were not the best I've ever had and they are really the reason I gave the restaurant 4 instead of 5 stars. They were served a little cold and I really didn't like the sauce they came with. I've had better ones at a neighborhood Chinese takeaway. My entree, however, was superb. The salmon was cooked to perfection--I like a more well-done Salmon and this was it. The mashed potatoes were some of the best I've every had. They made them likely my Grandmother used to--they were truly creamed and silky in texture. I like that. They have some the best Brussels I've had in Truist. Yardhouse across the way serves a spicier option that is just a little bit off-putting to me. I like a more savory, soften presentation and consistency of my Brussels, almost like we do cabbage in the South. We didn't have dessert. Great location! I'd like to sample more of their appetizers. It's perfect for a business lunch or date night. C. Ellets is quite elegant in and of itself. They do a great job!

This place is really nice. I came here last night with my husband after a Braves game. It was our first time here. He has been craving oysters and they had some for $5 each, so we ordered a few as an appetizer. He loved them. I was basic and got a shrimp po boy. My husband ordered a steak with spinach. His food was bomb. Mine was good too but his was definitely better. We didn't wait long at all to be seated. I also noticed the manager was really attentive, walking around and checking on tables. Our server was super nice too. I really liked the decor and the overall vibe. We would definitely come back.

If you follow me, you know I need my breakfast (brunch if it's the weekend). I stayed in Battery for all star weekend and wasn't sure I'd find brunch but I did, and it was jazzy!! Indoor and outdoor seating, you can also sit at the bar. They had live jazz playing inside (which i loooove) but it wasn't my vibe at the moment and it was a really nice day, so I opted to site outside which was super shady and cool. My server Chadwick was a pleasure! Brunch is until 3 but they stop allowing you to order brunch items by 1:45. Limited in brunch option but there are a la cart items. I ordered the Wagyu steak and a side of eggs. It was so juicy and just wanted I wanted! Was dying to try their bacon shrimp and grits but they only have one portion size and I just wanted a taste lol. With that a 2 glasses of Prosecco, my bill came out to $80. Note! If you're with a group, they do NOT split the check more than 2 ways. So know who's picking up the check! Definitely not bad for a steak house. I would visit again!

A friend of mine invited me to this restaurant. They ordered oysters and they were $5 each. I had the Grouper and it was crispy ands delicious. The spinach was very well cooked and you could taste the greens. The sauce or the juice was an added bonus. Definitely a great meal. The service and ambiance was very good and very professional. The restaurant was nicely decorated. The only reason I gave it a 4 star it is due to the prices but what can you expect when you are next to the stadium.

The Valentines Day brunch was great. The food never missed at C. Ellet's. I was with a group of 4 including a 4 year old who enjoyed every bite. The portions are well and the wait staff, Hannah, was excellent

We had dinner there New Year's Eve. It was very festive as he had jazz, musicians play, and decorations all around the restaurant. Staff was very attentive and we really enjoyed our meal. We shared a Caesar salad dressing very light, lettuce, crisp and fresh. Also grilled oysters had a little bit more breading to my liking, but we're really good overall. I also really enjoyed my filet mignon Oscar style dish asked for it to be medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. We also ordered two sides side of broccoli and a side of mashed potatoes, which were both very well prepared. I would go back.

Apple Cobbler was ok, but I'd try something else next time.

After a year in Atlanta we finally made it to a Braves game (playing my home town Padres) and while I kick myself in the butt for not eating anything at the park, our desire to avoid traffic and my need to eat sent us packing to C. Ellet's for a leisurely dinner. My overall perspective is that our service and food was much better than the reviews would have led me to believe in advance. Started off with cocktails me with a Juno (cachaça, strawberry-mint syrup, benedictine, lime, peychauds) and and my wife a Self Care (rye, matcha, mint, rhubarb, velvet falernum, demerara) and while both were good, my vote goes for the Self Care. Kicked off the food fest with Crab Ragoons that were good and served with a sweet/tangy dipping sauce that found it's way onto just about everything else we ordered at one time or another. We shared the Bevette Black Angus and that was a good call as we had two more items coming our way! We are Onion Ring fanatics and have had more than our share around the country. Yes, the generously sized Vidalia Rings inside a beautifully textured are equally generous crispy breading on the outside, and soft and lusciously delightful inside were to die for! These are not to be missed; if they are on the menu, just get the damn things! We finished things off with the Apple Cobbler and frankly it was average at best. Came with a scoop of nice ice cream but the cobbler was warm at best and the bread/crust was lackluster and uninspiring to me. Unfortunately, I suggest trying something else for a dessert. Overall we had excellent service from everyone we came in contact with and our server (Ilene(?)) was the bomb and certainly a reason to go back. Everything we had was worthy of return trip other than the cobbler (but there are many options left!).

Right in front of the braves sign. Their food is good never misses. They serve the best burger! We sat at the bar and the service was okay nothing too special. Had to ask for my water to be refilled a lot which I personally don't love. Ambiance is great too they had espn playing

Food was fantastic! Oysters were top notch (I recommend the pink moon for they have them) Ribeye steak has great flavor and was cooked perfectly. Staff at the bar were very friendly and everyone works as a team with high energy! Alex at the bar was super nice and on top of everything all with a smile. I didn't drink, but the cocktails looked fun and amazing. Nice all around vibe. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely be back.

Ambiance is very clean and refreshing. Almost has an art-deco vibe. Loved the live music Jazz Brunch! My good was amazing. Oysters were flavorfull and the toast was buttered and soft! My steak Benedict stole the show with the creamy haloneise sauce and crispy fried onions brought out a nice flavor! I will definitely be back for jazz brunch on the weekend.

Tried oysters for the first time, yum! The frosè was great. Went for the 16 oz , should have done the 10 oz. I wanted a burger to go but bc it was game day that want an option oh well maybe next time .

We were there celebrating our engagement, and they made it feel so special by decorating our table with rings and confetti to celebrate our love. Our server gave us so much attention and made the experience feel personal. Since it was our first time there, they took the time to walk us through some of the best items on and off the menu, and shared their favorite dishes. Everything was done with care. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was amazing, and the food was worth every dollar. The short rib was so tender, and the New York strip was seasoned to perfection and cooked medium well just how we like it. The twice-baked potato loaded with bacon, sour cream, chives, and cheese was delicious, and the mac and cheese was so good. I also appreciated that they allowed me to order it without the roasted saltine crackers. I can't wait to visit again!

Bones has old money vibes - for example, the receptionist referred to us as Mr. and Ms. which I felt like was very polite and again, traditional. We were celebrating my birthday, and they pre-decorated our table a little bit! We got special print-out menus that said "Happy Birthday" and the table had a little bit of confetti on it! It was a nice gesture to be welcomed with. Our server, Michael, was great at being attentive (without being overly attentive), and providing recs/answering our questions. We went with the Crab and Lobster Napoleon for our app, the Ribeye to split, and a side of their famous Hash Browns. Everything was very good!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but all the food comes out hot, fresh, and with good flavor. I really do recommend getting the Hash Browns - it sounds a little silly to order such a dish at a steakhouse, but try it for yourself :) All dishes have a good portion size so keep that in mind when ordering! While not pictured, I do have to give a shoutout to the complimentary bread service - their bread is real good. Hot and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Try not to get full off the bread alone. For dessert, Bones surprised us with literally the tallest and thickest slice of ice cream cake I've ever seen! My jaw dropped. I love ice cream cake and it was awesome to be treated to some!! I already thought that the table decorations and the special menu were enough to recognize my birthday, but this is the generosity of Bones. I will absolutely be returning some day! If not for the amazing food, then for the equally amazing hospitality! Thank you Bones for a wonderful birthday! Note: Complimentary valet parking ONLY. We asked the valet person if we could just park the car but we weren't allowed to. Bring some cash for a tip.

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

It did not disappoint - in fact, it exceeded my expectations. First of all, Ken was an excellent server. He was paced, attentive, informative, and communicative throughout our experience. We were also celebrating our anniversary, and he and the staff made sure to make the occasion memorable (won't give away to keep it special for you). The food was amazing from beginning to end. First, the bread service was prompt, warm, soft, and served with ricotta. Next, the Ceasar salad was made next to where we sat - and to see them mixing the salads so meticulously down to mixing the dressing from scratch was one of the most amazing dining experiences I've had. I love a good Ceasar - and this was amongst the best. We also ordered the Oysters Marcel - and they were so fresh and bright. For our main course, my wife ordered the bone-in filet. It was cooked to perfection (medium rare - medium). I enjoyed redfish topped with Jump Lump Crab Oscar sauce (with crabs). Both proteins were amazing, but I was surprised by how perfectly cooked the fish was. Delectable. For sides, we enjoyed Cream Corn Gratin and Pommes Frites Béarnaise . Both were complementary of the proteins. The dessert was a 10-Layer Chocolate Cake. It was sooo good. Sweet but not too sweet. Good as it looks. Lastly, the ambiance was amazing. It was like stepping into a portal into a different space in time - almost made you forget we were in Atlanta. It's a bit dark inside - but a well lit darkness - just like I like it. Easy to see the entire space but also feel unseen (even though you are). Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone - although we made a pact to not take anyone from our circle. We want to keep this one for us. But hopefully this write up encourages a stranger to enjoy Marcel. Merci

That world could be anywhere. It could even be in Midtown West Atlanta. Service was impeccable. Servers knew we were celebrating our anniversary and were attentive and helpful when making tough menu choices. Pacing was definitely geared toward fine dining. 40 minutes between starters and entree was a BIT long, but it went by. Steak was wonderful (a porterhouse for 2), cooked to a perfect medium rare with seasoning appropriately calibrated to not overpower. East and west coast oysters were fresh and the Marcel salad to start was underdressed and lacked flavor (I enjoyed how they plopped a mound of bleu cheese on top to mix in; I pushed this aside which my server and I laughed about. He said he'd do the same. Maybe it's a sign). Hot bread service with a spreadable cheese and prosciutto was a nice touch. The French fries are probably the best I've ever had, and the asparagus was asparagus (slightly undersalted if anything). Chocolate cake was impressive in presentation but unremarkable for flavor and consistency. My wife enjoyed her decaf coffee as the best she's had at a restaurant, but her cocktail left something to be desired and was extremely tart. A Mexican coke was perfect enough for me. The pricing here is exorbitant. The price tag isn't necessarily a problem given the caliber of dining experience and ambiance that Marcel provides, but given some of the misses on staple items (namesake salad, "famous" chocolate cake), I'm not sure that value for dollar spent is present. In transparency, our dinner comprised of the above was over $400 with tip, which was aligned with expectations walking in the door. Whether the food stood up to the actual place and pricing is a debate. I lean toward an answer of "almost, but close enough not to be insulted." If a gun was pointed at my head to pick the "best steakhouse" in Atlanta, I'd pick Bones without thinking twice. This place is a close second probably, but places like Nowaks in Sandy Springs, while not the same echelon of formality, might have Marcel beat on flavor and definitely have Marcel beat on value for the dollar. Is Marcel's concept valid and well executed? Yes, without question. Would I want somebody else to pay if I returned? Yes, without question. 4.3/5 stars

I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

Our server , was quite nice , asked us what were celebrating and very welcoming. He gave us the daily specials and made recommendations. Think his name was Daryl. Great seating and a lil darker inside. We enjoyed our dinner and appetizers and the fellowship was superb. Definitely recommend. It's been a minute since I had dined here and will consider in the future.

Inside the bar is straight ahead to your right. The kitchen is open and visible from the seating area, giving a sense of transparency and feeling of home. Elegant tables arranged with plenty of space to move about lets you know they're more interested in your comfort than maximizing how many bodies they can cram into one big room. Excellent servers are watchful without being disruptive. I like to enjoy my meal without being pestered every few minutes. I ordered the Bone-in Ribeye (my go-to for any steakhouse) and was *NOT* disappointed Perfect temperature. Flawless execution. I could tell they allowed equal time to cook and rest before delivering it to me. Prices are reasonable for the culinary experience and the quality meal you receive. Thank me later. Go and enjoy a special night out tonight!
