That being said, I have to give 5 stars based on the level of care received, wait times aside. I'm pregnant with our third baby now, and I was worried over a scan yesterday. Alex is a lovely technician and I hope I see her again. Dr Won continues to be a ray of light and such a kind, supportive presence. I just adore her. She's an incredible doctor. She spent a lot of time with me yesterday going over what my scan meant. However, I went home and did what you shouldn't: started internet researching what a certain measurement could mean. Today I spoke with Dr Kellert about my concerns and I'm not even sure I have the words to express my gratitude. He took the time to go over each of the measurements, and each of my specific concerns, and gave me his evidence-based reasoning on why he didn't share the concerns. He was realistic about what might still be part of the journey ahead, but he was so warm, reassuring, and validating. Dr Kellert, you meant the world to me today. I hope you know what an excellent doctor you are. Both Dr Won and Dr Kellert make a true difference in life and I appreciate them so much.

I have been to this lab twice, both times I have left with significant bruising following…read morebloodwork, however my most recent visit was especially bad. After being unable to find a vein on my left arm, the tech decided to draw blood from my right arm. After struggling but finally getting the needle in my arm, the tech had trouble getting enough blood, and began to wiggle the needle around inside my arm. Not only was this painful, blood began splattering out and onto my arm. After failing to draw enough blood, the tech then tried to draw blood from my left arm, which she previously had failed to find a vein in. Expectedly, barely any blood was drawn from my left arm. Following this the tech brought in, who I assume to be their superior, who had to draw from my forearm as the normal blood drawing spots on both of my arms were now both punctured, bruising, and my right side covered in blood. The first lab techs incapability not only lead to severe bruising following this ordeal, they were quite rude. While I understand procedures such as drinking more water can help, there is absolutely no need to repeatedly blame your patient on your own inability to perform your job. A small reminder once is plenty.

The person who received my call was very pleasant and nice. I was able to schedule an appointment at my home for the blood draw the following morning. The person who I spoke with, Bernadeth, explained the blood draw procedure and told me she would be at my house at 8 AM the following day The following day I received a text from Bernadeth telling me that she was on her way. Bernadeth arrived at my house a little early and messaged me if it was OK to do the blood draw now. I told her it was fine. I opened the door and was met by Bernadeth who was dressed appropriately and in fresh scrubs. Bernadeth presented me with her business card and politely asked if she could come in. She entered my house and asked me if there was a place I felt comfortable for the blood draw. I directed her to my kitchen. Bernadeth was very professional, put on rubber gloves, laid out a sterile pad on my kitchen table, and explained the procedure to me. Bernadeth found a vein she liked and carefully cleansed the area where the needle was to enter my vein. Bernadeth's skill in placement of the needle was fantastic and I didn't even feel the poke nor any pain at all! After the draw, Bernadeth placed the needle in a sharps container, gathered all the equipment she had used for the blood draw, and put them into a plastic bag. Bernadeth explained the procedure for the results, thanked me, and left my house. I would like to pass on that the level of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and sanitation and safety practices were greater than I expected. The in-home service was so convenient for me and the cost was extremely fair compared to if I had to travel to a clinic for a blood draw. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Lay Lab for any blood draw procedures you may need!

She informed me that she will co tact the doctor. I now have to wait another 10 min . She offered to reschedule me however I am already here. So I am waiting. Still haven't been seen. I have now waited 30 minutes. 8:50 am. 8:54am my husband asked if I was going to be called soon because she we have been waiting for a little over half an hour. I was now called 8:55 am. 8:57 am in changing room. Receptionist name is Britney . Her customer service is great . I AM UPSET ABOUT THE WAIT. 9 am getting prepared. Shivaji. Is the imaging tech. The reason that they were so behind is because they need people to usually come 30 minutes early and I guess that didn't happen so there was a triple effect. It seems that every time I go in my order (sent by FAX) can never be found. The receptionist at the Tice Valley office is very rude, abrupt and lacks compassion and empathy. She has dealt with me in a very hoarse and condescending manner and it is very upsetting especially since I go in there with pain and discomfort. It is unfortunate that your company doesn't have enough competition to force a training for your employees on how to kindly deal with people especially the elderly.
