Terrible!!!! Was sent by my home warranty company. They came out to fix a problem but did not fix it. Had to get them back out. As we were setting the appointment for the second problem. They called and gave me a time for the repairs. I proceed to take off of work for that time frame. After business hours, I get a text message saying my time had been moved. Of course it's outside of my window and since I've had already taken half a day it's now hard for me to change. When I call to see what could be done the lady at BW was rude! All she kept saying was the customer before changed times so we can't have a technician waiting. I get it. The customer before me changed and it messed up the day that was planned. But true customer service isn't texting me telling me my appointment has been changed. You called me earlier to confirm it, call me back to let me know it's changed. Also since I've now used my time to take off for this appointment that you've now changed without my knowledge or awareness good customer service would have you to see when it could be best for me. Called our home warranty company because we had some concern in our newly purchased home with lights flickering and humming coming from the switch. Our home warranty company hooked us up with BW Electric. They responded within 12 hours to our service request and set up an appointment for the following morning. Not only was he on time, he actually had to wait on me to return home! Instead of just leaving, he gave me a second call and waited for me to return so that I could have my problem addressed same day. He came in, assessed the issue, explained every step of the way what needed to be corrected and got to work. Within an hour, my apprehension over the issue was gone and the problem was fixed! Our A/Cs were out and some other miscellaneous items around the house. We had an A/C company out and they said we needed to call an electrician and that he smelled something burning. BW came out quickly, found the source very quickly, worked with Oncor, and had us up and running in no time and at a very reasonable price. BW was assigned by my warranty company, before they could arrive, storm hit and all electric was knocked out. I texted them and notified them of such (Tuesday). Wednesday, I tried to call and cancel appt and no answer, then I texted number and said we needed to reschedule. Thursday at 8:20 I received a message saying technician was in route, which is when we were scheduled. I called back to same number and got vm. Then I called main number and finally got a live person. I explained that I had been trying to reach them and she said they were closed yesterday, I asked why? she told me (she didn't have to tell me why). I asked, isn't there an on-call center or message center. She indicated that she was "the office" and could do as she wanted. I don't believe I have encountered such a rude person that is in a customer service position. I told her I would be seeking a different company for my electrical services. Based on the other reviews online, I got lucky. If you have a choice, do not use this company. I have already recommended to my warranty company to drop them or at least never to send them to me. read more

We lost power in the living room, lights in the dinning room, kitchen, and patio. Filed a claim with our warranty company and they came out that same week. Breco was in and out in about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, about an hour later the power went again. So of course, I called them right back. He was able to come back a couple days later and fixed the issue. Haven't had a problem since. My home warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) dispatched BW Electric Inc out to me 48 hours after I filled the claim. My time window was 1:30 - 5:30 and he arrived at the beginning of the time window which was convenient. The florescent bathroom light fixture had a failing ballast, humming noise, and broken socket so it was flickering and taking a while to turn on to full light power. The electrician, Laurence, replaced the broken socket and swapped the florescent lights for LED ones as they do not use a ballast to bypass the issue. While the humming noise remained as the ballast was not replaced since the LED lights don't require it to operate, the noise was a lot lower when the florescent lights were swapped out for LED ones. He was in and out in 30 minutes, explained the issue / solution to me, and my light fixture works again! read more

This company was dispatched by American Home Shield. I called AHS to verify that what I was calling on was covered. This company comes out and looks at it and all of a sudden it wasn't covered. I can't blame that solely on BW Electric. What upset me the most is I asked if he would look at a exhaust fan in my shop. I in no way expected that to be covered under my warranty. He did look at it and even though he couldn't work on the light but HE NEVER GOT BACK WITH ME ON THE FAN. He turned down business and gave himself a worse name in the process. I won't do business with any company that affiliates themselves with AHS from the experience I got from the two times I have "tried" to use my warranty. Personal opinion, steer clear of this place. I learned recently from a person that companies American Home Shield contracts are given more service calls if they find a reason to deny claims. What others have said about him collecting the fee and not coming back is true. He was hired for us by Choice Warranty. Rico didn't talk, only as little as possible. Very unfriendly. He sent us an invoice with the charge for our issue, he didn't advise us it needed signed, we didn't notice a signature box anywhere. We believe he sent this "signature required" text message so that he wouldn't have to come back. It seems by the reviews that once in awhile he will work and fix someone's issue to make a good review on here and make it look good, but honestly makes a living collecting the fees from the home warranty companies. They should all drop him but they probably won't. He wouldn't be able to do easy work with 85$ fees or whatever fees and walk away with about $900 or more a day doing nothing if he was on his own. (By my calculations of his saying he had 9 customers). Don't use this company if you don't want total frustration, not only did he make us feel very uncomfortable and didn't do anything. If your warranty company assigns him ask for someone else. It's Russian Roulette to whether your issue will be fixed. read more

We had Sears Home Warrantee hook us up with this company, for a kitchen, overhead light out. The electrician Rico and helper came out to our home. When they got there they observed our situation. Without doing any work Rico asked for his $60.00 copay and after recieving his money he flipped on the switch, and the lights came on. He then told us our house was wired wrong and was a fire hazard, and "could kill someone"! We live in a custom home and there are some features that are a bit odd. Painless experience. I contacted them through a warranty company. They returned my call within 24 hours. My appointment was the next day. I had a 30 minute notice before they showed up. Brecco was corteous and efficient. I had a very simple problem but it was fixed with no problems. Only issue I encountered, was communication. They would call me and I would call them back right away and it would take a couple tries to reach someone. It seems they do not really have an office and the call goes to person doing the job and, understandably, they can't always answer right away. Would recommend and would use again. read more

These individuals came through Old Republic home warranty. Two gentlemen came. Very quiet and I had to prompt for information. One was polite and appeared to assist the mean one. The electrician made it his affair to not want to look at the three ceiling fans that needed service. He was on the phone constantly whispering to the dispatch or the warranty company. Either way I asked clearly what the issue was as it was clear it was a issue. He said they would let us know in a few days. Well upon leaving we got a call back and were told the ceiling fan was not covered. The electrician person disposition was not one of a person to come to do service. I would not recommend this company to anyone. He stated two ceiling fan had to be effected by a storm. The lights work on the ceiling fan but the fan did not. I asked when was the storm as I had only been in the home two weeks and it had not been one. I would not allow these individual to my home. read more

The guy barely spoke or made eye contact, and tested my wiring with a $10 circuit tester (something I could have done myself). I would have expected an experienced electrician to show some curiosity and want to understand what is causing my light bulbs to pop out of the fixture continuously over the past several months. I called my home warranty company due to 3 electric outlets and the garbage disposal in my kitchen not working. They told me they were going to send BW Electric and I was very skeptical after reading these reviews. Today I had Breco from BW Electric in my home for about an hour. He called to let me know when he would arrive, he arrived on time, he was very friendly and most importantly he found the issue with the electrical problem in my kitchen. When he left all my electrical outlets were working and the reason they weren't in the first place was because the garbage disposal is throwing the breaker so I still have to have a plumber out. He called my home warranty company for me and explained the issue to them so that they could send the plumber. I am very happy with the service I received from BW Electric. read more
