I had a new AC system installed by Sunny Service in August 2024 that included maintenance as part of the purchase. In June they performed a routine complimentary maintenance inspection to keep the system running smoothly. On July 30, 2026 the ceiling started dripping. I called them right away. A separate roofer also inspected and confirmed the roof and attic were fine, and specifically recommended checking the drain line on the pancake unit. I relayed this to Sunny Service. Their technician came out the same day, said everything was fine, and charged me another service fee. The next day (July 31, 2026) the roofer returned, opened the ceiling, and immediately found water coming from the direction of the pancake unit. The drain pipe was flooded. Just one day earlier Sunny Service had told me it was not the issue. I now have roughly $2,000 in ceiling repairs to deal with. I'm also unclear why the system did not detect the overflow and shut down, which the technician had previously explained it should do. I trusted this company for two years with a brand-new system. Please make sure any AC company thoroughly checks and clears the condensate drain on every visit. This should never have happened. read more

Trip cost $69 and then told me there is a leak and then said you have to pay 840 for us to find out the leak. We paid $552 for 2 lbs of refrigerant and later found out my neighbor used other company and only paid $368 for 2 lbs. This is a scam. Dont use them. I'm canceling the memebership. read more

They were the second plumbing business to diagnose a leak on my property. I was unsure if it was irrigation or slab, but my water bill said serious leak running 24/7, somedays 800 gallons. Geezuss take the wheel. The first company determined it was a slab leak. Was going to charge me $400 to run a test, then estimated the repair between $10k and $15k. I called them to diagnose the issue, but they didn't bring the equipment. Told them Sunny was coming @noon, but they could return @2pm if Sunny didn't find the issue. Called Sunny to make sure they camed prepped to do a full diagnosis. They showed up promptly and prepared. They first checked the house. Well, whaddayaknow, it wasn't the expensive slab leak the other company said it was. They checked the irrigation system. Yep, I had a line leak. Was told it wasn't their wheelhouse, though they could fix it, they suggested I hire an irrigation specialist and save money. That was twice they showed just how honest they are in not taking advantage where clearly another had. I had a separate plumbing issue I let them takle. Sadly I am writing a review that I never thought I would have to. I trusted Sunny Services to be an honest company that I could trust. Last week I had an appointment to have my semi-annual service done. Their technician Coby Tischler came out. He checked the unit inside and then went outside. He told me that the refrigerant pressure had a block in it and that my options were to start changing parts or perhaps get a new unit. I was not certain how old the unit was but I knew it had not been too long since a new unit was installed. He looked at the serial number which was 17 04 40 ????. He told me that the unit was manufactured in 2004 and that it was on it's last leg when in fact it was manufactured in 2017. The year that I found out from my sister that the unit was installed. He wanted to have his supervisor come out to give me a price on a new unit. I told him that I had an acquaintance who had been in the business for over 50 years and that I would get a second opinion from him. A couple days later I had him go with me to check it out. He found ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the unit except the filter needed changing which I had asked Coby to do. I don't know if Coby works on commission but he never sent me a report on what he did or what he found like I had received from the other Sunny Services technicians. I have not received any communication from them since I gave them a 7 on the survey. Sadly I will have to find another local service company. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. On Feb 7 I had called sunny service to come out and look at my AC. They told me for. 1.5k they can get me a new motor. The guy was younger and confessed he didn't know how to work with my somewhat older unit and he called in someone to look at it. They installed a new motor but not the bracket correctly and so it fell into the motor on may 11th and ruined my motor again. When I called them asked them to come out--no tech ever called me back to schedule an appointment ! And then I called again to see if someone can get out here or if the manager can call me about having a make good on this situation. Crickets since and they don't want to talk to me at all. First, I want to say I have used HVAC for several years, and am a Club Member. If I was reviewing HVAC alone, 5 Stars! Plumbing on the other hand....OMG. Appointments, only sending one guy for huge jobs, sending inexperienced on Saturday when there's a problem the guy can't get in touch with anyone, etc... Invoices? You only get when you call in and ask, one time you are charged $900 for 2 line replacement, then $1,100 for easy 1 line leak fixed with no break down of parts and labor. Took them 30 minutes total, rest of the 1 1/2 hours was sitting in their truck. I am going to keep using the HVAC, but plumbing? Never again. read more

We spent over $11k on a new system inside and out about three months ago. My wife recently had heart surgery, and I'm battling stage 4 cancer. We didn't want to risk AC issues this summer. It stopped working within the first month. It was a loose connection on the outside unit and was an easy fix. It failed a month later and was recharged for low freon. It failed the same day. They found a leak on the inside coil and said it would be replaced. It was 90 degrees in our house, and we were given no timeline. We had to buy a $500 portable AC unit and live out of the smallest room in our house to survive. We had to eat out every night because it was too hot to cook. The service techs were awesome, but the customer was awful. Zero compassion! They took our money but failed to stand behind their product. Avoid Sunny Services. read more

Our A/C fan quit one evening and I called Sunny Service right away. Their dispatcher assured me we'd have someone out the following day and she was right on. Abdu Elhaddad was here the next morning and he was friendly, on time, and knowledgable. When the fan started up while he was evaluating the situation, he was smart and waited to see if it would quit again. It did. I had a very bad experience with Sunny Service. I paid them to come and clean our ducts and to install a UV light in our coil to disinfect the air. My wife has battled mold toxicity for the past couple of years and wanted to clean our ducts as one more precaution in helping her get better. Jerry Byrd was our salesmen and in his defense, he was the only good thing about Sunny Service. When the crew came to clean my ducts, they did not lay down any protection on any of my furniture and they emptied out decades of crud and dirt onto my couches, my beds, mine and my wife's office furniture and equipment, our kitchen counters and cabinets. Then they half attempted to sweep the floors as the clean up. I spent HOURS after they left cleaning the house, washing the sheets and cushions etc. I spent almost $1,000 to have my ducts clean to help my wife's health issues and they took the things causing the health issues and dumped them all over where we lay, relax and sleep. I called our salesmen Jerry and asked him if that was normal and explained everything to him. He said that it was ridiculous and that he would be sending an email to his management to explain the situation. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing, so I called Jerry back for an update and to see how they would handle the situation. Unfortunately Jerry did not answer and no one from the company every called me back. I would not recommend Sunny Service. Their communication was terrible, had techs showing up at my house while I was at work the day before saying they were there for the job, after I had just spoken with the office 1 hour earlier. They did not install the correct UV filter in my coil and there was no price correction. Overall very bad experience. read more

Well, let's start with the most recent service call with Brendon. After completing my pre winter service and giving my furnace a "all good to go". 10 days later when it got cold enough to turn the heat on, it doesn't work. So I call Sunny Service to come back out. We'll, it seems that the fan motor is out, so I owe $69 for a service call and would be $2000 to replace the fan motor. I say NO, and canceled my monthly service and disputed the $69 service call fee, which they fought. Every time Brendon came to my house, there always something that needed fixing. Not with the other techs, only Brendon. Fan motors cost about $50 and take less than an hour to install. Stay away... read more

Juan and Jeremiah were A+++ Terrific. We had them over for a duct cleaning and they were on time, professional, and real nice guys. The entire experience was above and beyond. They were able to document the removal of a lot of built up disgusting material (they'll have before and after pictures and videos to help you get a full overview of how much crap was in your ducting). Cleaning was done in the ducts and in the air handler, my HVAC equipment looked brand new by the time they were done. The team left my attic and every other workspace cleaner than it was prior to their arrival and also vacuumed the house after the job (small particles might fall out of the vents - their machine has a brush and a vacuum that scrubs your ducting clean but a little bit can fall out). We hired Sunny Service to check our HVAC, since the downstairs unit was not working. The main positive note was when he inspected the wrong unit to start with, he did briefly inspect the correct unit without charging another fee. Although we did have to get a manager on the line, since he originally planned on charging us double. When Brandon inspected our fully functional and working unit, he said that it needed a full replacement due to the units age and being dirty. This unit was working correctly, and he inspected it by mistake thinking we only had one unit and it was broken. When he inspected the actual broken unit, he said it also needed to be fully replaced. I asked for a ball park estimate of the cost, and he stated $15,000-$30,000 per unit, which is a whopping $30,000-$60,000 for a 1,500 sqft house. We got the service done last week, and never received any invoice, pictures/video of the inspection, or any other report. read more

After he did his mechanical inspection, our hvac blowing at 58-60 degrees compared to nearly 75-78 before he arrived. Great job and very satisfied. I used this company before with GREAT results (A tech named Brandon came and was great! Came out and checked both units and put in the filters I gave him. We talked about maintenance and he was out in under 2 hours. So I called them again for maintenance. Brandon came (a different Brandon) and he was professional and very nice. I just needed maintenance. I gave him the filters to replace the ones in my two systems. After inspection Brandon found that the pan was full on my down unit and the drain for it was plugged. He also said I would be charged double because I had two systems, while before I had regular price. The charge for two systems plus draining the pan was $300. I liked Brandon. The whole time Brandon was here doing maintenance he had the unit set at 68, it was very very cold!!! After Brandon left, I found the lower air was not working. I tried a few things with the thermostat and called Sunny and booked another (follow-up) apt. Jeremiah came the next day at 10AM. He was prompt and professional. He popped the thermostat off (which had not been done yesterday) and checked the inside unit. He then asked to look at the outside unit. He said the wiring was wrong on the outside unit and that when Brandon had fixed the drain, he had rewired it wrong. The unit was kicking on and then shutting off. Jeremiah called for advice from the company. I asked if a senior tech could come out and put it back the way it was yesterday when it was running great. Justin from Sunny called (who is a manager). He advised that it should be fixed and that it was rewired wrong. Lower unit is off and Jermiah is still working on it. I will update this review after they get it fixed and I do not have to call them back. Apparently when the system was "fixed" yesterday, but it was wired back incorrectly. After Jermiah worked on it (and rewired the outside unit), the air appears to be fixed (Thank you!!) but the thermostat appears to be stuck on a higher number. I asked him if a sensor could have been damaged when he popped it off, but he said it just needed to sit in the cool air for a while to register (he was here for at least a half hour and it did not go down). Update: I set the system on auto and it seems to be working for now. Took 4 hours to work. I did asked the manager for comp for the extra day due to the error in wiring and extra day of work and have not heard on it. Final analysis: No one with senior skill levels. Professional and nice young techs. This not only cost me the $300 but two days salary. If I was a rich person I would pay for them to have a few days training.....they have the soft skills and are very good people, just need more comprehensive tech skills. read more
