Sheldon was on time, knows HVAC and explained his assessment to me in layman's terms, telling me his recommendations weren't critical but if left unresolved, might well cause issues down the line. He left his card; i won't hesitate to call him if his recommendations and plan to request him for the Fall cleaning of my HVAC system. I signed up with ARS through a salesman in Home Depot. It was a Saturday and i could get an appointment the following Tuesday for a very reasonable price per unit and no trip charge. My condensers did not need coolant, so i can't comment on if ARS, like so many companies, marks down their service call while marking up the coolant unit price and amount needed. I was impressed that HD actually called me confirming my appointment and assuring me that the repairman was bonded through HD and licensed. I think I made a mistake. I picked companies with good reviews on yelp and when they contacted me, I thought they were at least a 4.5. I don't know why or how they got my number. I have a clogged shower and paid $159 for it to be fixed. Maybe $159 isn't a big deal to some, but it is to us. The drain seemed to be fixed, but when I showered, it overflowed again. It's draining a little faster, but not enough. I stupidly signed a one month, one trip warranty. I've asked them back, but if he didn't fix it the first time -will it be the second time? My mom had a brand new a/c unit installed by this company for 13k two years ago and it's been an utter nightmare ever since! Literally, every summer AND every winter we have to call the company because it's either not getting cold or not getting hot. Last winter we had to use the emergency heat function because it was not heating properly and ended up with an $883 electric bill. To make matters worse, when we called them this time, they said we have to pay another $1200 to fix the problem... Insane! We should not have these type of frequent problems with a "new" unit which she is still paying on. I insisted on speaking to the manager about this recurring issue and this faulty unit which they obviously sell people, the manager still has not returned my call after 2 weeks. I was ordering a replacement water heater from Lowes and typically install them myself. I saw an option to get a quote from their recommended service provider so I applied all details to inquire. They called me the very next morning which was Christmas day. I didn't expect this, but happy to proceed and they offered several options that same day to come out for assessment and quote. 2pm - 6pm was the agreed upon time frame. I made arrangements with family and cleared out the garage/workshop to give them clearance. At 6pm, it was a no show. I called them shortly after and they apologized, confirming they would have a service tech contact me in the next 20mins. Again, nothing. I pretty much wrote them off until they called the very next morning. I took the opportunity to give them an ear full. They asked for the opportunity to make things right, so they scheduled a visit the same day and I accepted. The Manager (Danny) assured me they do not work on Christmas day but I explained to him that I spoke to two different individuals who approached me and offered me Christmas day visit. The service tech showed up as agreed Dec 26th. He made no attempt to look at my water heater and went straight to calculating numbers. An exact replacement with tax and accessories was at $600 from Lowes and I explained that I already had the make/model in mind, and in my Lowes shopping cart. As he was calculating he was talking out loud, "I should be able to knock off $200" and minutes later, that got bumped to $300 off. So right away I knew this was going to be a joke. Sort of like a dealership telling me they'll knock off $500 on a fully loaded Cadillac Escalade. When he was done, his quote was $2,645.00 for the tank and installation, and he sent it to my email address which never came. I immediately told him I decline and there's no need to proceed. Later in the date I checked several feedback sites only to find out how awful these folks are with none of the sites reaching 2 stars out of 5. I fired them after getting a second opinion and learning that they over bid by at least 1,500 dollars. James was the plumber who took advantage of us in an emergency situation and his boss Rob Wallace was rude from the beginning of the claim filed. Hire literally anyone else. We used ARS to install a new AC unit when ours went out. We have them come do semi-annual service to gear up for summer/winter, and we've never had any issues until now. The warranty is still good, and we are currently experiencing an issue with the AC. The service tech came quickly on a Saturday, but he said what needed to be fixed had to have approval. He returned two days later on Monday and said if under warranty, it would cost X, but our install paperwork says we have a 10 year warranty, so I'm confused why it would cost anything. My husband called multiple times in the last two days and finally heard they could send the tech back out, but who knows if they'll actually fix the issue today. At 39.5 weeks pregnant, this is a major headache our family didn't need to fight with. It's been a super disappointing few days. With the current weather, it's sweltering hot and humid inside our house almost as bad as it is outside. The lack of communication when we've asked for call back or to speak with someone in a supervisory/management role is unacceptable. Had a few minor plumbing repairs that I requested. Although repairs were made, the quality of the service / repairs was not what it should have been for what I was charged. A cartridge for a tub faucet was $550 (I purchased a whole new faucet with new hardware and they only replaced the new cartridge from the new kit without any of the new hardware). I asked to have the tub drain replaced and I was told how to do it myself (so much for calling a supposed professional for help). A kitchen sink drain basket was $250 and wasn't available with the technician (he had to got purchase one even though I requested a replacement when I scheduled the service). ARS Quality Control manager did her best to discredit my issues and support the company's technician.....was willing to send him back even though his first pass was lacking. Rescue Footer Dallas is a business who sounds very professional and caring over the phone. However, they are not! A tech came out and displayed a horrible attitude 6 days ago and walked in asking me if my leak was under the house and starting writing on his device. He stayed in the house 5 minutes total and told me that it would be $89 service fee, and told me to sign the device. I told him to hold on and let me see what I was signing. Rooter***not footer* auto correct* Additionally he told me that it would be $550 for the first two hours for someone else to look for my leak. Before collecting the $89. After he coolect both the service fee and my signature he just walked put after I told him ok because of his nasty attitude, I told him I was getting quotes. But because of his attitude, I went against this company. Called the company and spoke with D**** and told him of the experience and was told that he was new and that no one would be available until this Monday. He had me to leave my contact information for a callback but it has yet to happen. The tech didn't do his due diligence but was quick to ask for the service fee, which I feel was a donation because this company didn't deserve it at all. I used their service to install a gas hot water heater purchased at Lowe's. It all started out fine. I had a call from them before I even got to my car in the parking lot from buying the water heater. A very nice person scheduled a rep to come to my house the following day. He showed up on time and was very nice. I thought the $1648 quote was very high (double what I paid 19 years ago- but, inflation). /We scheduled installation for Friday morning. When I had not heard from them by 11:30am, I called. A very nice rep told me I was scheduled for that afternoon. I knew that wasn't true, but, oh, well... Friday afternoon came and went. I called at 4:30 and they told me the appointment was cancelled. Then the rep started wailing about system issues. I really couldn't understand what he was trying to tell me but he promised first thing Saturday am. When I hadn't heard anything by 10:30am, I called and they told me they were having trouble getting the receipt for the purchase from their sales rep? Finally, Was told they were enroute to pick up the water heater but, they were sent to the wrong Lowe's! (The previous rep (on site) and I were very careful to select the correct Lowe's and discussed how installers had been sent the wrong Lowe's.) Finally they picked up the water heater and got to my house. They installation appeared to go okay. They said they were done, scheduled the city inspection, and left. The city inspector came on Monday and red tagged us because they hadn't hooked up the vent! I called and they sent the installer back out but failed to schedule the city reinspect. I had a slow drain in my kitchen sink so i got on the internet found Ars Rescue Rooter offering a 99 dollar main drain line cleaning for up to 100 feet of drain line. Also it said with proper drain cleanout access which i have at the rear of my house at the end of the Main Drain Line. So I called and scheduled for a tech to come and snake the drain line. Which in just a couple of hours a tech arrived i greeted him and we started to discuss the job needed he informed me as if he already knew my kitchen drain was not on the Main Drain Line but was on a branch line that was not covered on the 99 dollar drain cleaning even with a drain ci aasleanout access at the rear of my house. Now instead of 99 dollars it would be 418.00 dollars just to walk around the house to snake the drain from a drain cleanout access at the end of the Main Drain Line. The tech stated happens everyday and even said it has been discussed in their meetings miss representing there services with false advertising most people consider there drain lines as one main drain until the tech says its a branch line. Take note when i called Ars i stated i had a slow drain in my kitchen sink and had a cleanout access on the back of the house which i asked if that was included for the 99 dollar drain cleanout i was informed up to 100 ft of drain line. Take in mind my house is only1200 sq ft my whole drain system is not 100 ft . To snake the house from the rear would actually be starting at the end of the Main Drain Line which would make sense to clear the Main Drain Line from the end of the line all the way to the street out front. I have had this same problem before and Levy and Sons showed up and snaked the drain from the rear of the house through the cleanout access and it was clear for many years till now. Please be aware of the way they are baiting with the 99 dollar price . And the tech knew if it was a kitchen sink it was not covered and said it would be 418.00 to do the same work from the rear of the house. They are taking advantage of people who need there sink to drain like myself but the false advertising should not be tolerated. Please avoid Ars Rescue Rooter for your plumbing needs ask Questions which i did there are Honest people out there read reviews on companies you plan on doing business best way to stay away from these problems if would have i would not have called Ars Levy and Sons did clear the drain for 99 dollars years ago. They came to my house because a water line from the hot water heater running through the attic was dripping from a T-connector. I found the leak and identified and decided to call them to fix it. It didnt look to hard so i call them to save me time and for a professional to fix it. The guy climb up in my attic said " yep it leaking and climb back down he didnt have to do anysearching then i told him let me know when your done. He said well let discuss the price me thinking a couple hundred maybe . Nooo this man said 800 dollars lmao. He also asked me if there is a lowes or home depot around lol and a light bulb in my mind went off. If he can get the part from a local store then so can i. I watched youtube for 5 freaking minutes and went to lowes bought a 16 dollar sharkbite t--connector and a pipecutter and went in my attic cut the old connector off and just connected the new one. I paid for the full service up front and an additional $2000 in advance and have since requested a refund, however, no one has responded. This is a final request for reimbursement of funds. When scheduling the appointment, I tell them they will need 2 technicians and a 24 foot ladder to access the roof. When they call for the 30 minute notice, they act like this is the first they have heard of the request. Today, I even called to verify that they did indeed have the information and the call operator verified that the information was on the work order, but again, one technician and no ladder. I've asked to speak to a supervisor about this, but haven't heard. Again, do not use this company if you have a condo, I promise you will end of angry. Good phone support, but the plumber that came by, never looked for the leak, spent most of his time locating where the water line entered the house, then measuring distance to street, then quoted a 7700.00 line replacement. Repair was not offered as an option. The next day another plumber came by. Found the leak in a few minutes, quoted a repair. Said replacement was not needed, but if I wanted to, his quote was considerably less than the Ars quote. He showed me all that was wrong was a 40 year old brass T fixture at the end of the water line. Fixed in 2hrs. No leak. Saved over 6000.00 by having Dewolfe take a look. read more

I was a little wary of the negative reviews, but after calling multiple other places, this was the only company I found that provided the exact service I needed. I've met several plumbers in the area for various pipe issues, and this was probably my best experience. The company contacted me right away after I sent a service request, sent someone out the same day without an extra charge, communicated when the plumber was on his way and gave ETA, and the plumber JT was very knowledgeable and explained things thoroughly. It wasn't cheap, but he was upfront about pricing and worked fast so there were no surprise extra charges. Definitely recommend and would call them again for future issues read more

I had a runny toilet and needed to replace a rusted out fill valve in the water tank. As the toilet was wasting water and I couldn't turn off the water at the valve next to the toilet (faulty shut off valve), I decided to forego buying a toilet repair kit from home depot for $20 and doing this myself. Big mistake. ARS/Rescue Rooter did come within couple of hours of calling. It's $50 for the service call, regardless of whether you do the repair or not. And I was quoted $330 just to replace the fill valve. The plumber wouldn't repair the leaky shut off valve next to the toilet, he wanted me to book another appointment on Monday for that. He didn't even use a complete kit to replace the rest of the old parts in the water tank ie flush valve, gasket etc. Just the fill valve...which you can buy from home depot for less than $8. With my faulty shut off valve, I couldn't do the repair myself unless I could shut off the main water line to the house. But with many water departments switching to remote water meter monitoring systems and locking the water meter, the main water line shut off is hard to open/operate for normal people (again unless we go to home depot and get the "key" for that. So I paid, $380 for the plumber to replace a $8 part in the water tank in less than 30 mins and not replace the leaky shut off valve or the rest of the old parts in the tank. Lesson learned. Never again ARS/Rescue Rooter of Dallas. You guys are greedy and this scorched earth pricing will come back to bite you in the long run. I will opt for local, independent plumbers or try my best to fix minor repairs myself. Thank you for the motivation :) read more
