Today I was driving from Jacksonville to Myrtle Beach and decided to stop in Georgetown for lunch. I parked my car on Front Street and walked along the water on the boardwalk. This place looked the most full so I figured it must be pretty good. My instincts were right. All of the tables outside were taken, but there were a few empty seats at the bar. The menu has about a dozen appetizers, about ten handhelds, a few salads, a few tacos, and about ten other dishes. I opted for the fried shrimp basket and it was an excellent choice. There were ten delicious fried shrimp, as well as fries and cole slaw. Everything tasted great. Service was pretty quick. The outdoor dining was full the whole time I was there. Five people went for lunch. Two of us ate mahi tacos. They were yummy. One had a burger. It was so-so. The other ate a crab cake sandwich. And the last person had a fish sandwich. All food was good but not outstanding. We ate inside do we would be able to talk. Outside on deck had loud music and we would not be able to chat. Oh I forgot we had crab balls for appetizer. The bartenders at Buzz's Roost were nothing but rude and unprofessional. My boyfriend ordered me a skinny margarita at the bar on the right side, and the bartender said they didn't have that but could make it with half sour mix and half lime juice instead. Later, we went to the bar on the left, and the bartender named Mrs. Jordan immediately had an attitude while he was trying to explain the drink another bartender had already made. She said, "I'm gonna have to take these people's orders if you don't know what you want." It only got worse from there. When we ordered food, she said, "I'm not gonna walk around with your food all night," and then when we went to grab it, she tried telling us, "That is not yours." Went here on Wednesday March 12 2025 with my parents, uncle, and cousins. it was a little family reunion. Must say that they really have cool drinks, but with the bartender we just ordered 3 cherry vodkas with sprite/7up. Glad to see a place have cherry vodka! and it was enjoyable. We also ordered boneless wings teriyaki, and nachos, in which both were good. Finally, the rest of our party came, and we were sat at a table inside. In total, we were a party of 8. At the table, we started with waters, 2 people got shirley temples. We also started with an appetizers of fried pickle and Fried Calamari. Must say, the fried pickles were really good, it was my first time trying them. Server greeted us with a smile and took great care of us. For entrees, i ordered the fried flounder with sweet potato fries, someone got a french dip burger, a cobb salad, chicken ranch wrap, wings, and a chicken fingers with fries. I definetely enjoyed my fish sandwich as it was something different. We all pretty much ate our food before we were full. We paid the check with a credit card and left a cash tip. We stopped here on our way to Charleston. Nice view outside, but dirty, old, and smoky vibe throughout. Very "unwelcoming" feel for me and my husband. We sat @outside patio area for 15 minutes waiting to place drink orders. As we sat, the motorized sun shield came down nearly on my husband's head as he looked over the railing. No apology was given. There are space heaters but they were not turned on. The food was very delicious, but took awhile to get our food and drinks. Stopped by this spot on a Sunday afternoon. Located along the water, they offer indoor and outdoor seating. Wanted a few oysters but they didn't have oysters. As it turns out, it was a great thing! Instead, my wife and I had some of the best Nachos I've ever tasted. They were made with some of the tastiest brisket ever. Throttle Down Motorcycle Ministries made its way to Georgetown on Sunday after church. Our restaurant of choice this time was Buzz's Roost. We called in advanced so our table was already prepared and waiting for us which we appreciated since we had been riding for 2 hours. The restaurant was easy to find and there was ample parking in the rear of the building with full view of the Ocean Front. There was even enough parking for 2 other motorcycle clubs!!! Amazing Food, A little on the pricey side, and remarkable view and bar area, Great Atmosphere!! The Service was great! Our waitress Shawn was very nice and attentive. She gave us our menus and provided us with our drinks all within 10 minutes. I decided to have the Grilled & Blackened Shrimp platter with rice pilaf & Vegetables, my husband ordered the Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta, and our friend Alicia & her husband ordered the Blueberry Jalapeno Shrimp Tacos. My Grilled & Blackened Shrimps were mouth-watering, succulent and deliciously cooked with blackened and cajun spices that went well with my rice pilaf. My pilaf was cooked to perfection! It was fluffy, light and fragrant also paired with well seasoned spring vegetables. My meal gets a perfect 10. My husband liked his Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta but his portion was too big. He ate all of his shrimp some of his pasta and he tasted his chicken but he quickly got stuffed. I should have tasted it. Our Friends Alicia & Roger had the Blueberry Jalapeno Shrimp Tacos. I was told the tacos were delicious and the Blueberry Jalapeno was the perfect blend of heat and sweet. Juicy, Spicy, and Delicious. Our Bill was a little pricey, it was a $50 lunch for 2 ( with sweet tea) but on the bright side we got 10% off Military discount which helped with the taxes. Went to meet family as it was 1/2 way spot. I was a little nervous as it's tucked basically in an alley and it was after dark when we went however I was surprisingly delighted by the people and the food. I expected typical bar food but we were given more upscale food with developed tastes that were cooked very well. My husband had shrimp and steak that were cooked perfectly. I had a chicken bbq flatbread that my only complaint was a little less bbq sauce but that's my own preference. The rest of the parties food and cocktails were great too. Our server was nice and attentive. She offered refills, checked food status, chitchatted and was all around lovely.
