By far my favorite restaurant in Georgetown and perhaps in SC. They have a warm inviting atmosphere inside and out, including their deck with picturesque waterfront views and bar. The food is innovative and delicious, you can always look forward to trying something new as their specials are outstanding. Service is always top notch and the cocktails are as innovative as the daily food specials and made to pair together.

Had lunch today at Between the Antlers. Great ambiance overlooking Georgetown's Front Street docks. Service was exceptional, menu was perfect for lunch. I ordered a wedges salad with grilled chicken. The were came with their own peppercorn dressing on the side and very flavorful precut grilled chicken. Perfect amount and excellent presentation. Highly recommended.

    Great views from outdoor seating!

So this is a love it or not place, plenty of my friends love it. I am not a big fan. Starting off, we arrived two minutes before opening an hostess with no personality curtly told us the time. Two minutes later she asked if we were ready. Since the clouds were dark and storm expected we asked for inside seating (all empty tables) - Denied. Asked if we could get a covered table outside and since there were only two of us when she took us to a four top she decided not to seat us - Denied. She made us sit at a two top outside the covered area. Our view was a garbage strewn swampy area instead of one of the many open tables along the river. This is not an enclosed restaurant so be prepared for open walls/open air experience. The name makes you think "hunting lodge" motif, but it's more creekside open air. The menu online is not the menu they gave us so we had to find something on the spot. The menu choices are adventurous and if you're a "plain" diner this is not a good fit for you. My wife asked if her choice was spicy, server said "not at all", guess what? It was spicy and she couldn't eat it. She told server who didn't offer to remedy. My dinner was okay, but definitely not worth the price of it. We paid and barely made it to car before the skies opened up. We thought about trying dessert but we knew we weren't seated in a place to have it as the raindrops were randomly falling on us. As we left most of the 4 tops under cover were still open. Ugh.

My boyfriend, Eli, and I went to Georgetown with his friends to eat at Between the Antlers for his friend Tyler's birthday. Tyler had been there before. He said the shrimp were really good. So that is what I ordered. They were very good. Big! Tailless. Fried to perfection. Eli got the quail. We don't see quail on many menus in Charleston, SC. So he had to get it. It came out looking like two little baby chickens. The birds were served whole. The atmosphere here is nice. They have a bunch of antlers as decoration. They have some cool art featuring animals that people hunt. They also have taxidermy animals on the wall, such as ducks. The service was friendly. She took our drink orders, came back with drinks. Then she took our appetizer order. We got the hushpuppies, the perlau fritters, and the duck confit jalapeño poppers. The hush puppies were huge! The server joked and said they were hush doggies because they're so big! Overall, we had a great experience. I'd definitely go back here when I'm in the area. I hear this place opened up during Covid. So it's fairly new. They are right on the water too. They have patio seating but it was raining and cold on the day we came so we chose to sit inside. I say that this is a great choice if you're looking for a nice meal in the Georgetown area.

A very nice casual place to dine. There is an outdoor deck with heaters so you choose that if you want to . A decent iceberg wedge salad and great fish of the day, Red snapper. Service was good but a little slow. It has a visible kitchen which is fun to watch. The restaurant is a block off the beaten path of the main drag so check your directions. Street parking is pretty good. Really tacky decor that could use some updates and better art. Not being snobby but it could be so much better than it is. I did see some negative reviews for Antlers but we had no problems. Our experience was five stars.

We were seated on the deck outback with a wonderful water view. I think this might have been the best table in the restaurant! We started with the parmesan baked artichoke hearts at the recommendation of our server. They were piping hot with a hint of lemon and topped with parmesan and breadcrumbs. Served with crostini ( we did have to get a few more crostini). These were absolutely delightful! I could have probably made a meal out of this! We all had burgers and fries for our entree. The burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It was topped with cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce and charred onions which really made this burger even better. I highly recommend the burger!! It was so delicious ... I forgot to get a picture before it was completely gone! The next time I am in Georgetown this will definitely be tops on the list of places to eat.

The Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake were the favorites passed around our table of 7 ladies. We had a great Front St window table. The restaurant is small and narrow inside but they have Front St tables and a patio out back with The Winyah Bay view. We enjoyed the Petite Filet that everyone raved about, crab cake , a vegetarian plate of sautéed vegetables, a salad with fried oysters. The appetizers were the cheese biscuits and pimento cheese. Martinis and wine started the meal. Frank's is A nice addition to a small town with big charm on Front St.

Every dish felt curated and intentional. We started with the crab dip and corn bread and both were delicious. The Miso butter that comes with the cornbread gave it such a pleasant Umami note. For dinner we had the Chicken, Scallops, Pork Chop, and Shrimp and Grits. The carrot puree that held the scallops was so smooth, sweet, and rich. It complimented the scallops perfectly. My shrimp and grits were fantastic. The grits were the perfect texture, and the shrimp cooked to perfection. The bone in pork chop was perfectly cooked, was seasoned so well, and extremely tender and juicy. I think I was most impressed with the chicken, sweet potatoes, and bacon jam. It's hard to explain but the bourbon bacon jam almost tasted like how it smells when they smoke a cocktail, in the best way. The sweet potatoes tasted incredible and balanced out the savory chicken. I really can't recommend this resteraunt enough. From the food, to the service and the ambiance, everything was fantastic. I've dined at a handful of Michelin starred resteraunts and the overall quality and completion of the dishes here easily competes and surpasses those experiences. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner

Instead, take a scenic detour to Georgetown's charming Front Street and Riverwalk, where dinner feels like the start of a mini vacation. We pulled into Buzz's Roost around 8 p.m. on a cool, damp Friday night in May, and the New England clam chowder was exactly what the doctor ordered. Warm, creamy, and comforting, it melted away the stress of the workweek with the very first spoonful. Our blackened fresh fish sandwiches were outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the seasoning had just the right kick to remind you that simple food can still be unforgettable. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. With its exposed brick interior and waterfront setting, Buzz's Roost feels like a cozy warehouse transformed into a laid-back riverfront hangout. Friendly service made us feel right at home, and the skeeball and foosball tables were tempting enough that we're already planning a return visit. I can easily picture coming back on a warm summer evening--or even during football season--to soak in the Riverwalk views, enjoy a great meal, and unwind. They also brew their own beer, which is a nice touch. My only wish is that they offered a non-alcoholic beer on draft for those of us making the road trip and keeping it light. Buzz's Roost is more than just a restaurant stop--it's a reminder that sometimes the best part of the journey is pulling over and discovering a place you can't wait to revisit.
