My wife and I were traveling from Savannah to Myrtle Beach and happened upon this little gem of a restaurant. It was mid afternoon and we were greeted enthusiastically by one of the owners, who had a great smile and inviting personality. The menu had a good variety of items and we ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad and the Brett burger. My with said it was one of the best caesar salads she has ever had. Lettuce cold and crisp, chicken warm implying freshly grilled but the best were the homemade croutons - delish. My burger came out cooked to a perfect mid-rare, the tater tots hot and seasoned nicely, but the best was the homemade ranch dressing. It's easily overlooked by many restaurants, but house made items taste better and are less expensive to make. If your traveling Rt17 thru Mcclellenville, SC this is a MUST stop.

Enjoyed the Tacos, music, ambiance and talking with the owner. Happened to be only place open in town on this date, so very happy it was Good. Beer was good too.

OMG good find! Got the flounder basket & added the extra shrimp with truffle fries & steamed broccoli...enough to split & was to die for! Then the owner talked us into dessert...cheesecake eggrolls. A picture is worth a 1000 words!

This is by far the best experience I have had at a seafood restaurant! Everything was reasonably priced, delicious, and the service was beyond amazing. Will definitely be back especially for the $10 dollar huge bucket of oysters!!!!

Stopped in on our way down 17S to Charleston. What a find! Great food, decent prices and ice cold beer. I had the fried Shrimp basket with Parmesan truffle fries and my husband had the fried flounder sandwich with a garden salad. We also had ice cold beers. The shrimp...a dozen, large, very lightly breaded, I mean barely, fresh and perfectly cooked. The cocktail sauce was just spicy enough. The truffle fries were very tasty and there were lots of them. The flounder sandwich was also very good as was the salad. Was a good crowd for a Sunday night. If you're anywhere nearby, go there and support local business. We will be back!

We were seated on the deck outback with a wonderful water view. I think this might have been the best table in the restaurant! We started with the parmesan baked artichoke hearts at the recommendation of our server. They were piping hot with a hint of lemon and topped with parmesan and breadcrumbs. Served with crostini ( we did have to get a few more crostini). These were absolutely delightful! I could have probably made a meal out of this! We all had burgers and fries for our entree. The burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It was topped with cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce and charred onions which really made this burger even better. I highly recommend the burger!! It was so delicious ... I forgot to get a picture before it was completely gone! The next time I am in Georgetown this will definitely be tops on the list of places to eat.

A historical remodel on Front St in Georgetown gives you an elegant but fun atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. The menu online show the variety from Seafood to Steak including a popular Quail dish. The small plates allow you to enjoy a 3 course meal. The desserts are not to be missed. The Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake were the favorites passed around our table of 7 ladies. We had a great Front St window table. The restaurant is small and narrow inside but they have Front St tables and a patio out back with The Winyah Bay view. We enjoyed the Petite Filet that everyone raved about, crab cake , a vegetarian plate of sautéed vegetables, a salad with fried oysters. The appetizers were the cheese biscuits and pimento cheese. Martinis and wine started the meal. Frank's is A nice addition to a small town with big charm on Front St.

We were setted promptly and given a great waiter-Chris. He was accommodating. He made a few recommendations/ favorites of his own. The food came out fast and was very good. Everything was seasoned and hot. The ambiance was one of a seafood establishment. The seating and environment was just fine. We really picked a great location to eat.

There's something about the name "Acme" and good seafood when it comes to coastal restaurants…read more Along the Gulf, you think of Acme Oyster House. On the coastal Atlantic, we recommend Acme Low Country Kitchen. You get five-star food in a rustic setting that could benefit for a bit of a makeover -- but only a touch or two. Excellent service compliments the food. On our plate: The "Light: House, including sauteed shrimp, seared scallops and a house-made, fresh crab cake that comes with a caveat that a shell chip or two might be mixed (we call that authentication). All were perfectly prepared and ample sized. This wasn't a shrimp-and-chips drive-through; this was a meal. Our sides: Collards (this is the low country) and fried Brussel sprouts, again well prepared. Price: $38.25 and among the higher-priced items on the seafood-heavy menu but worth it. Others in our party, including two non seafood eaters, chose the pecan fried chicken (two breast with one each going home because of the size) with another going with the Carolina Duo of the chicken and short ribs. Will we return? Yes. There are other options we've yet to try as our visits to Charleston increase but this was a real treat. Even better, it is near the fabled Dingy beach bar where we ducked in to watch the Kentucky Derby. We could spend our retirement years at The Dingy but that's another review to come. Acme is a 4.5-star review with the only points shaved because it just needs a little updating (after the season, perhaps). The food and service more than make up for it.
