Jalepeño popper burger
Jocelyne W.

Delicious! I kept hearing this restaurant pop up in regard to their burgers being the best in the area. They did not disappoint! We got the jalepeno popper burgers, loaded tots, and a side of onion rings. Loaded tots was a meal on its own. The burgers were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. Best one I've had in the Charleston area. Waiters were attentive and friendly. I appreciate that the place is more of a hole in the wall vibe. No frills, but still comfortable in there and they were playing great music in my opinion. I like the townie feel inside and I hope it can remain that way! I think that's a vibe that is a bit lacking in Summerville

Large group gathering with a special menu

This week Dinah Yo and her staff warmly opened her doors to approximately 35 women meeting for lunch. She had an abreaviated menu made up for us, but it was still quite extensive. The waitstaff were friendly, helpful, and accomading while taking all the orders! This is a smash burger spot and the menu offers a variety of toppings. I chose the bacon and crispy Jalapeño one. I love a smash burger, and this one was delicious! Kudos to Dinah and the whole staff for handling this very large crowd with smiles and great service!!

A welcome Side stop after seeing a show at FlowerTown Players theater. Burgers, appetizers and a WIDE assortment of adult beverages. Great prices and a huge listing of DROP SHOTS of which our crew sampled quite a few!!! A very efficient server but I forgot her name SORRY. F ood, games, and some LOUD tunes at times. Fun times with old and new friends.

Pimento burchy burger + tots

I had no idea whether this place was a sketchy dive bar or a restaurant from the outside parking lot looking in. The place has no curb appeal and no real signage, but don't let that turn you away. It def had an old bar feel on the inside and the bartenders were very nice once we got in. I read many reviews on their burgers before going in so I went with the pimento burchy burger with tots. I love smashpatties so it def hit the spot after being hungry. Not bad for $10 during their happy hour.

Southwestern Burchy Burger

We love the Knot!! Excellent smash burger. The Burchy tots are crispy and have an amazing seasoning. I got the southwestern burger with double patties and it was perfection . Our bartender was super attentive and helpful as well. 10/10!!!

Great bar food, I haven't had anything I haven't enjoyed!! Kids are welcomed, as long as they are supervised...

I have never had anything here that I didn't love! The smash burgers are great, nice crispy edges, melty cheese. My husband loves their fried mushrooms. I don't like mushrooms so I've never had them but they do look good. They look like whole mushrooms hand breaded and fried served with a horseradish sauce if I'm not mistaken. Their onion rings are amazing. They are hand breaded as well. And I love their breading. Not too thick or too thin, they're just right. I went with my friend & her daughter for my birthday lunch and they both had the fried chicken burchy and had it in a wrap. They said it was delicious. Our waitress was great (the staff have always been pleasant and knowledgeable when I've been there). My smash burger was great as usual but I only got a single patty when normally I get a double. I'll always get a double from now on bc I realized you really need at least a double to have good patty to bun ratio. My husband always gets the triple when we go.

Cheezy Burchy Smash Burger, seasoned tots and farmhouse IPA.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but quite literally the first time I've been here! Friends have raved about it for years for their food, drinks and homemade Irish cream and I now know why! The burger was just as advertised. Smashed, crunchy edges, tons of flavor and topped with just the right toppings (although I subbed mayo for ketchup). Went for the Cajun/ranch seasoned tots by recommendation from Nick (very helpful all the way around!). All paired well with a locally brewed IPA! Will definitely be back! Double Cheezy Burchy Burger, Cajun tots and a Frothy Beard Sassy Squatch Farmhouse IPA.

Pickle flight.

I make sure I come here every time I'm in Summerville. The Guinness is a proper pour (though not a proper pint ). The smash burgers are fantastic. Make sure you try the pickle flight - unique and quite good. Highly recommend this place.

You definitely could pass this place if you not paying attention. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is a bar like environment with games , music and couches. My bar attendant was helpful with ordering and answered my questions. The burger was smashed to perfection ! Would recommend.

Look for this sign and a small brick building in the back. Not marked well.

Love it when I stumble upon a fantastic burger! this one's smashed and crispy in all the right ways. 5 to 10 different burgers to choose from. I would eat here often if I lived nearby. They also have many lovely appetizers, chickens, etc. Beers on tap in a bottle or can. Cocktails. Pool tables. Arcade. Couches. High Top tables. Plenty of room at the bar.

We have been coming here for years and the food is what keeps us coming back. We always start off with the Knotcho chicken dip that barely touches the table before it's gone (hence no picture.) atmosphere is super laid back and kid friendly during the week days. But definitely check out their drop shots menu!

Not a place for good food. Greasy, unflavored hamburgers in a pool hall / bar setting. Probably the worst burger I've had in quite awhile.

Delish burgers that never disappoint. The fried mushrooms are also bomb, though the horseradish sauce is weak. Wish it was stronger.

My husband and I came here on our first morning in SC right after we moved here from out of state. I ordered the "vicious benny" which was eggs benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce. Everything about my benny tasted like it was meant for Queen Elizabeth (RIP) or someone of high caliber to be eating. It was so freaking good, that it didn't seem worthy of my peasant palate! In addition to the huge, fluffy, amazing biscuit, they did not forget to make the ham & hollandaise just as fantastic; ham had lots of unexpected flavor and I wanted to drink a bucket of the hollandaise sauce as I'm 100% sure it's the BEST one I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back as soon as possible and would recommend that anyone/everyone do the same! :)

So after plugging in "gluten-free breakfast in Summerville" here on Yelp, Vicious Biscuit was one of the choices. Located in Nexton which has quickly become one of my favorite areas to find good food in Summerville. Upon entering. I was greeted and given the opportunity to glance over the menu without being rushed. I let her know of my gluten allergy and she was quick to provide me with options. They have so many gluten-free options to choose from. It was my intent to dine-in but I needed to leave. I ordered a gluten-free biscuit with sides of grits, chicken sausage and a scrambled egg to-go. I was offered a cup of water as I waited. The restaurant had several customers dining in. The seating area is very spacious and I loved all of the natural lighting coming in. There's a bar with so many types of butters, jams and etc to choose from. One of the workers came over to help me and answered all my questions. That sweet potato butter was divine!!! I needed to use the restroom before my next stop (I hate public restrooms by the way!) it was super clean. When I did have the opportunity to eat, I wished that I'd ordered more biscuits!! It was so good!!! I can't wait to go back and actually sit-in to dine!

If you're looking for the gold standard of brunch in Summerville, look no further than First Watch…read moreon North Main Street. This isn't just your typical "eggs and toast" diner; it's a full-on culinary experience that manages to feel both incredibly healthy and deeply indulgent at the exact same time. From the second you walk through the door, you're hit with the "Sun-Up" vibe--it's bright, airy, and smells like fresh-squeezed citrus and high-end coffee. We were greeted by a host who gave us a realistic wait time, but here is a pro tip: use their app to join the waitlist before you even leave your house. We did that and were whisked to a booth within five minutes of arriving. The Appetizer You Can't Skip We started with the Million Dollar Bacon, and let me tell you, the name is an understatement. It's four slices of hardwood smoked bacon baked with a brown sugar and black pepper crust, finished with a maple syrup drizzle. The way the cayenne pepper provides a tiny kick at the end to balance the sweetness is genius. It is thick, crispy, and honestly, I would come back just for a plate of that. The Main Event For the mains, our table tried a variety of dishes to see if the kitchen could handle the rush: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: These are probably the fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. The ricotta adds a creamy richness without making them heavy, and the marinated berries on top were burst-in-your-mouth fresh. They didn't even need extra syrup. The Tri-Athlete Omelet: For those trying to stay on track with fitness goals, this is the move. It's an egg white omelet loaded with house-roasted onions, tomatoes, and cremini mushrooms. It felt light but was surprisingly filling. Farmhouse Hash: This is the ultimate comfort bowl. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly (not too salty), and the two over-easy eggs on top created a rich sauce that tied the whole thing together. The Juice Bar & Coffee You cannot visit First Watch without hitting the juice bar. We tried the Purple Haze--it's visually stunning with the butterfly pea flower, and the lemon/cane sugar combo is incredibly refreshing. Also, their Project Sunrise Coffee is some of the best "restaurant coffee" I've ever tasted. Knowing it supports female farmers in Colombia makes that second (and third) refill taste even better. Service & Atmosphere Despite the place being packed, the service was seamless. Our server, Justin, was a machine--he anticipated our refills before we even asked and knew the menu inside and out, even suggesting a side of the "Greens dressed with lemon" which was a perfect palate cleanser. The atmosphere is energetic but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Whether you're a local or just passing through the 29483 area, this First Watch location is firing on all cylinders. It's clean, the ingredients are top-tier, and the menu is creative enough to keep you coming back week after week.

Nope, about 4oz of berries and coffee with honey, creamer, turmeric, cinnamon and cayenne for me. Please note my listed concoction is extremely beneficial to the body, containing anti-inflammatory and antioxidants. Ok back to the point, I had the opportunity to meet a friend from church for lunch and I figured since I've never been to a First Watch in my life, to give it a try. The ride over at 11:15 on a Tuesday morning was easy, light on traffic with ample parking in a very safe section of town. I beat my comrade, for my Russian friends, to the restaurant as he was lagging a bit so the courteous wait staff promptly seated me. To be honest the franchise appears to have a forced hommy look to it. As if they're trying to be something you'd find on a winding country road where only the locals know about. To be honest, the ambiance is the lowest on my checklist, so depending on your perspective, that's a good thing. My hostess/waitress was asking me about my beverage before I was seated! I like this commitment to service. She even got me honey for my sweetener as I requested. Slow... slow golf clap from the audience. As I confessed before, I'm not a big breakfast person but I try to eat reasonable 90% of the time to stay "fit as a fiddle" (I'm curious where that analogy came from). While I could have enjoyed a great number of items, I opted for 1 Belgian waffle and 2 over easy eggs to go with my coffee. My skinny friend (grumble) got the Tri Fecta b/c.... well he's skinny! But as I recall it was about the same as my dish but with bacon. First off, my eggs were perfectly over easy - cooked 65% on one side the rest on the other with a very runny yolk, tasty! Now for the waffle, can we say "false advertising on 3?" Belgian waffles are thicker, have a "yiester" batter and pearl sugar. Plus, the "syrup traps" (all rights to Mitch Hedberg) are deeper while it has a crispier exterior and fluffier interior. In other words what I got was a deflated, defeated and structurally defunct piece of want to be abstract art, only something that a painter like Mark Rothko could appreciate (look him up). It was tasty but when I love waffles and have refrained for literal years I had my hopes set way to high. Anyways it was an average experience with only one syrup option! Oh I apologize for the pic, I was hungry and forgot to snap one before I destroyed it with my pitchfork. Overall, I don't want to nitpick too much but give constructive advice. So, the great -bacon, eggs, coffee, customer service, noise level and comfort. The average or slightly below average - the waffle (mislabeled) and ambiance via drab decor. If I were to come back, which isn't a reflection on the restaurant but my eating habits, I would opt for the eggs benedict as I make them all the time at home since homemade hollandaise sauce is easy and elevates any dish.

Our waiter was very attentive to our large party and food was brought out rather quickly. My biggest complaint was that food. I love eggs Benedict and a crab cake, so I had to make the obvious choice to get the crab cake eggs Benedict. The grits were very smooth and buttery with no lumps! The fried green tomato was fried to perfection but it didn't have much seasoning. It was beneath the crab cake, so maybe that's why it wasn't seasoned well. Also, the toast was really good. Idk what kind of toast you he had on the side but it went well with the jelly! My biggest gripe was the start of the show--the crabcake. It did not taste like a real crab cake AT ALL It tasted like a crab cake from a box with a lot of breading which was disappointing. Also, the breading on the crumb cake made it so crunchy to where I thought I was eating a chicken tender. Also, the sauce on top tasted weird and didn't complement any of the flavors on the plate. Overall, the experience was not bad. The menu is vast so I may be inclined to return to try other options. I just would not try the crabcake again.

My husband and I came in for dinner and sat at the bar. We started with the cheese fritters & bacon jam. We initially thought the bacon jam was missing, but the fritters were great so we just kept eating them! When we got down to the last one, we both realized the "odd looking fritter" in the bowl that we were both avoiding, was the jam (oops!). It was a similar color and shape to the fritters but we both just laughed about avoiding it. For my entree, I was sold on the "award-winning" shrimp & grits that were featured on the Today show (as per their menu). Surprising that this meal made it that far as it didn't taste like anything special to me. It was not bad but very basic/plain; so basic that it felt like something was missing. It was the same case with my husband's meatloaf. However, I would still recommend checking this place out and deciding for yourself if you like it here ;)
