Wow, bloody wow... Stumbled across this hidden gem in Georgetown, SC. My wife Debbie and I were not just impressed by the awesome decor, the friendly locals, the cool billiards room and the abundant beer and drink menu but the food was absolutely spectacular. I had the soft shell crab and the Mrs had the lamb burger. Walked out of the place with a circus in my mouth it was that good. Even better, the service was top notch and it was a pleasure meeting the owner Jackie on our way out who was so nice and friendly. We hadn't been here in probably year and wow has it changed. Menu is longer again but prices are up. Portion sizes are generous but I'd rather have less and a lower price. For a Friday night it was almost deserted so service was quick and efficient. The food is awful though. I had fish and chips and the fish was overcooked and rubbery. We brought a group of family to eat and show them the beautiful town of Georgetown. The employees were all standing around the bar when we walked in and didn't look too pleased to see us. Having said that, the food was very good and it was promptly served. Our waiter was efficient but lacked in enthusiasm. Maybe she was having a bad day so we'll go with that. Stopped by at 5 PM on a Friday...the business was nearly deserted, one table with some guests, and a few at the bar....I was surprised about the lack of business....now know why...I think they survive on tourists like my wife and I and not repeat business from locals. The view from the windows must be what attracts the few customers that we saw. We sat down at a dirty table...food crumbs all over the table, with an additional large amount of food under the table and around the chair legs. Yuck..... The sitting area where we were placed was desperately in need of a good cleaning...dust on nearly all of the surfaces we saw.... Our waitress approached and gave us the sense we were "an inconvenience". No welcome...no greeting at all... My wife and I made a quick trip to the small cluttered (and dirty...) bathrooms...as we returned to our table, we both commented on the need to clean and somehow improve the cramped old bathrooms...dirt dirt, dirt on the floors, molding, etc... To my wife and I this matters and gives us the impression that the owners, managers, and inconvenienced employees (at least on that day..) just don't care about the total customer experience...(little things get noticed and set the expectations low...) As we ordered the only other customers left...just us at 5:15 on a Friday... We ordered 2 of the "Supersmash Burgers" at $18 each, from the cold indifferent waitress, ...supposedly 2 large meat patties....what we received was a hamburger with one SMALL burger patty...Much smaller then the bun.....both my wife and I thought: We just got ripped off...to the tune of nearly $40 for two burger orders..... No customer wants to feel that way...! Fries were good but, but a little soggy and under cooked... When you leave and think that the value was poor, service cold, and we could have gone to a fast food option and received better value , at a much lower cost.....sigh... $3 for a coke, $1 for a small runny ranch sauce for the fries.... $61 for the lunch ......not a pleasant lunch Last note: Customers should not be able to hear about cheating boyfriends from the staff at the bar 25 feet away, nor see my waitress and a man I assume to be our cook smoking outside in front of the windows... arrived on time for our reservation on mothers day. and stood for about 10 minutes before i finally went to the bar and asked about a table. service was not good took a long time to get our drinks , took twice as long to get our orders taken and about 40 minutes to be told they had no lettuce and tomato for the BLT. brought the meal out two seperate time only for the girl to ask who had the sub (no one ordered the sub and took it all back. when the dinners finally showed up the soup i ordered was reheated so much that there was no " soup " in the bowl just chicken bits and soggy broken dumplings . it was terrible... the steak sandwich was cold and so so.. we should have left earlier but gave them the benfit of the doubt . the place was not busy it was just not good. it was 90.00 that was wasted. . i would really like our money back. this is the second time i am writing you and not a response from the first one last monday. with so many good places to eat in georgetown this place is a sad let down.. read more

We ordered a gin and tonic, the tonic was completely flat coming out of their well so it was a bad drink and the waitress acted like I was lying and was going to check into it but did nothing about it. We had a burger which was quite good, I on the other hand had a pulled pork sandwich which had a small thin layer of burnt pork, no pickles, coleslaw or anything else so just a dry mess. What a wonderful find on the waterfront in Georgetown, South Carolina! The service from Danielle was excellent! Food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend their hummus and pimento cheese appetizer. Homemade deliciousness with veggies and warm pitas. The pimento mac and cheese is amazing. The salmon dishes were cooked to order and done perfectly. Love the view of the board walk and water. Full separate bar and waterfront outdoor seating. Smaller menu but good food. Well after a little wait and some more time waiting for food, it sure was worth the wait. The food was out of this world. From smoked Thai chili wings my jalapeño burger, and kats veggie burger. Came in after a long drive from Charlotte. Not knowing what to to expect, we were delightfully surprised! My husband and I both ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwhich. The chicken was thick in size and juicy, not overcooked at all. The fries were hand cut, a nice surprise to us with the perfect amount of salt. Our drinks were great as was our server who checked on us several times. They had great 90's music playing, I enjoyed it so much, I almost wished it was louder. I ordered steak nacho wanted a shrimp nacho the did not have any shrimp. They came out with a beef taco. The nacho had very little meat. Not season at all took two bits. Pushed it to the side. Horrible! Will not go back! I am gluten free and I informed the waitress. I ordered a hamburger with no bun and no fries. I thought it was an easy request. WRONG. After waiting 45 minutes for our food mine comes out with French fries and a bun! So then I had to wait longer for my meal while my friends ate their meals. The BLT that my friend ordered was cold bacon that literally crumbled when she tried to bite into the sandwich again fries were cold and soggy. my other friend got hushpuppies that were burnt and the honey butter was as hard as a rock her fries yep you guessed it cold and soggy. they did not have coffee but they did have hot tea so thought well that can't go wrong nope wrong again it was only earl grey tea which has a terrible taste why in the heck can they not just have. Our Business' much anticipated Christmas Party. Service and Ambiance were good in the RENTED room. The menu had a few Entrées but besides chips and salsa or some fancy French fries (as an Entrée?? - yep) the only 2 Entrées that were basically available - was a Porterhouse pork chop and a blackened salmon fillet on couscous. Looked good but Neither were available. There were no steaks or seafood as options - just burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings and salads . We received no communication about the menu non-availability. There's a reason why the pool table is available l. Inspite of the fact the place is empty service still took 40 minutes and the drinks were weak. The server forgot to return our id when returned our balls. The owner blamed us and was rude when we drove 40 min to retrieve said ID. Do not recommend, there are better places available with less entitled owners who actually care about customers. read more

Picked this place to meet friends halfway between Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Restaurant was downright cold and had ceiling fan above our table. I explained to the server that it was freezing and asked if they could turn the fan off, but was told that they could not do so. In retrospect, we should have immediately left. Our friends from Myrtle Beach picked this place to try the pork porterhouse, but a few minutes after placing the order, the server came back and explained that they no longer serve this and it was being removed from the menu. That friend ended up ordering a mediocre dinner salad. His wife was happy with their grilled chicken salad. My wife had a nothing special burger and I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was very good, served with cold fries. The "tartar sauce" was watery and bizarre and it did not even stick to the fish. Beers were affordable and of decent selection. Server was aloof and non-attentive. We asked for the check to be split between the two couples and instead of presenting an itemized check as 100% of restaurants do, she handed me an electronic device that simply showed a total amount. Three gratuity levels were offered - 20%, 22% and 25%. Although her service warranted half of that, I was prepared to tip 15%, so I clicked on the "Custom Tip" button, but it did not offer tips by percentage - just a manual entry in dollars. Engaged in conversation with friends, with the server staring at me, I now didn't see the total amount to calculate 15% to. I finally went back to the main screen and gave her an undeserved 20% tip on poor service. She then printed out copies only to find that both couples appetizers were on one tab and the drinks were not attributed properly. I honestly can not think of a single positive aspect of this dinner, aside from seeing our friends. Perhaps that is why we were the only people dining during the 90 minutes we spent in this dump. read more
