Iced Matcha Lemonade and S'mores Latte
    Angelica L.

Rating: 4.3/5 Buzz Coffee is a small basement coffee shop with rotating seasonal drinks. Iced Matcha Lemonade ($5 for 24 oz) + Lavender Syrup ($0.65): This was better than most versions we've tried, though this type of drink has never quite hit the mark for us. The lemonade wasn't sour--more like a sparkling lemonade. The lavender added a nice sweetness that blended in without being overpowering. S'mores Iced Latte ($6.50 for 24 oz + Oat Milk $0.75): One of the best s'mores iced lattes I've had. The espresso was strong and bold but not overwhelming, which I loved. Sweet but not overly sweet. The menu listed chocolate cold foam, but it tasted more like marshmallow to me. Overall, a well-balanced drink where all the flavors worked cohesively, yet you could still pick out each note. It helped me stay awake all day for the long 5-hour drive I had to do.

First off what a cute name this is for a coffee spot. It is downstairs of a building on a very cute street. I found it as I was googling coffee shops in the area I was staying in and the name caught my eye/interest. I had the blueberry pancake iced latte. It is on their specials drink menu. It sounds like it would be super sweet! But it actually wasn't as sweet as I thought. The barista said if you want it to be sweet it will be sweet but if you don't want it to be sweet it won't be. I was a bit confused when She said this to me, but after tasting it I got what she meant. This place itself is super cute and has a little sitting area in the back that looks very calming and like a zen out area. There is also a little area where you can buy merch. If you are looking for a great coffee shop in this area then this is the one.

Pretty cool spot to chill and hang out. Not a huge place but the vibe is vibing. Located in a basement, this place is a must for a hot humid day to cool off with blueberry pancake latte. Staff members are chill and friendly too! It's located in downtown so be advised that parking can be hectic but street parking is abundant at $2 per hour.

Relatively tiny place (though they do actually have a couple seats), but they are a nice option for a tourist who doesn't just want to get chain coffee. They had a bit of a rush just as we got there, but the staff was still friendly and prompt. Great location

Delicious coffee, we love coffee and we have notice that most places here in main they used Italian coffee which is amazing, the service is nice and they are fast, which I love in coffee shops, the place is very very cute and super trendy.

A perfect way to jumpstart your day! The most unique and cute little coffee shop that's tucked away downstairs from the Main Street. I had the coastal cookie iced latte and it was perfectly topped with blue spirulina to give it a unique appearance, and sprinkled with sea salt for a solid finishing touch. The coffee was strong and fresh, not acidic. The girls who worked the counter were all friendly and helpful. Pharmacist approved!

Buzz stays killing it as per usual! A subterranean, cozy space on Exchange, delicious ice matcha and chai with non-dairy milk and plenty of syrup options, and even breakfast sandwiches! Delish as usual. Their staff is also very welcoming, which is a plus! Cons: not much indoor seating and no bathroom available to the public. Wifi, though!

Very cool place with very cool coffee. Had the cinnamon bun latte which was absolutely delightful. Also love the large sizes. A super great spot to check out

The best matcha I've had, I'd come back just for this matcha. I know someone that's not a matcha fan at all and they took a sip of mine and was shocked, they definitely will jump on the matcha wagon after just tasting this one

my boyfriend and I were in Portland to help a friend move into their new house and decided to get coffee before we got into any heavy moving! I saw this place on tiktok and decided this would be the perfect place to try! I got the coastal cookie iced latte with almond milk and would rate it a solid 8/10. It had a bit of a bitter taste, but once I stirred it enough it was really good! I'd definitely drink it again. My boyfriend got the iced mudslide with oat milk and it was AMAZING. It definitely gave me fomo that I didn't order it! The sip I had was a 10/10. He also got the egg and cheese bagel and said it was really good. I'm gluten free so unfortunately there was nothing I could eat here. They didn't have any gluten free options (but if they read this review, I hope they add more in the future!) There's no parking unless you park in the lots around Portland and walk - so keep that in mind. There's also no handicap entrance or accessibility. This cafe is in a basement and there's a steap decline down steps. However, if you find yourself in Portland, It's definitely worth the trip.

The seasonal coastal cookie latte was amazing. Yes, it's sweet and practically a milkshake but if that's your thing it's perfect. Staff was quick and very friendly! Right in the middle of downtown!

Small little coffee shop in the heart of Old Port. You walk down a set of stairs and the coffee shop is on that lower level. Cozy space. I liked the bar seating area and all the plants. I got an iced chai latte to go. It was great! Friendly staff with quick service.

Love buzz!! They have a couple outdoor tables to sit at which is nice now. I believe they have WiFi, but they don't have cell service in the downstairs area. The service is great (the employees were dealing with their order tickets printing information wrong, and I saw them have to remake 3 or 4! But they handled it nicely and drinks still came out pretty quickly.) The latte choices are delicious, and I have yet to try the breakfast sandwiches but I'll be back!

We got a great cortado in this cozy downstairs spot. Service was friendly. They had a small selection of pastries as well that looked good.

That alone tells you so much about the heart of this place. A daily necessity. The only time I'm ever disappointed is when they sell out of their Banana Bread Latte. I still haven't been able to try it, but I already know it's going to be delicious. My go to order is a regular latte with oat milk and their house made Maine Maple syrup. Their hot drinks are always made at the perfect temperature so you can sip immediately without burning your tongue. And when I want something on the cooler side, I love that they have a nitro cold brew for that extra smooth finish. Despite how busy they always are, their service never wavers. The staff is consistently friendly and efficient. There's plenty of seating-- booths and high tops. Even with the plethora of people working on their laptop, I can almost always find a seat.

Walked in and the man behind the counter looked annoyed to be disturbed. I checked my watch, we were still 2 hours away from closing. I asked which chai they used and he said he didn't know just that it was not made in house. I took a chance and yuck. Pure sugar. No chai flavor or spice. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. For two beverages, including a simple hot green tea, I spent $13. I found that to be pricey for the quality of the beverages.

There was so much to select from - we got pastries, cookies, pizza and bread - and we pretty much liked everything. Our least favorite was the morning bun with walnuts - we didn't have it right away so that might've been part of the issue.
