Amazing!! They make a bunch of homemade coffee syrups and thats what sets the bar high! Me and my friends tried blueberry,apple cider, and cinnamon bun and we loved them all. Staff was friendly and helped us decide what to order. Great place to stop for a coffee when in the area!
Super good latte! And the staff were super sweet! Only problem is that there isn't a ton of indoor seating and no bathroom.
Stopped here to get a latte and ended up getting their cinnamon bun special and it was very good. I got half the sweetness cause they are always a little too sweet for me. They don't have many tables but a couple spots downstairs and then some outdoor seating. Worth a stop if you are in the old port.
Yummy chai. Service was nice and quick which I appreciated! I would have liked a few more food options, but it worked out well.

First time revisiting Buzz Coffee in over a year and it certainly was a better experience. Despite the weather still giving summer vibes Buzz dropped their fall drink specials a couple days ago. All five of them sounded very good that my wife and I decided we needed to go. The overall vibes inside have not changed one bit. Decorated with local artwork and enough going on to give it a unique charm. They are tucked in the basement level so those who struggle with stairs would have difficulty visiting here. This time we only went with drinks and they did not disappoint. My wire went with the Iced Bananas Foster Matcha and I chose the Iced Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun. Both were well made and had lots of flavor and are perfect drinks to welcome in Fall. Our third choice would have been their Pumpkin Pie Chai. The staff were friendly and we showed up at a good time with no one in front of us so our drinks came out quickly. This revisit has made me reconsider Buzz when in Portland and looking for a coffee. I especially think it's worth checking out their seasonal specials!
Rating: 4.3/5 Buzz Coffee is a small basement coffee shop with rotating seasonal drinks. Iced Matcha Lemonade ($5 for 24 oz) + Lavender Syrup ($0.65): This was better than most versions we've tried, though this type of drink has never quite hit the mark for us. The lemonade wasn't sour--more like a sparkling lemonade. The lavender added a nice sweetness that blended in without being overpowering. S'mores Iced Latte ($6.50 for 24 oz + Oat Milk $0.75): One of the best s'mores iced lattes I've had. The espresso was strong and bold but not overwhelming, which I loved. Sweet but not overly sweet. The menu listed chocolate cold foam, but it tasted more like marshmallow to me. Overall, a well-balanced drink where all the flavors worked cohesively, yet you could still pick out each note. It helped me stay awake all day for the long 5-hour drive I had to do.
This is the cutest little coffee shop. Coffee was delicious and so were the pasties. Employees were friendly and service was quick.
Pretty cool spot to chill and hang out. Not a huge place but the vibe is vibing. Located in a basement, this place is a must for a hot humid day to cool off with blueberry pancake latte. Staff members are chill and friendly too! It's located in downtown so be advised that parking can be hectic but street parking is abundant at $2 per hour.

I was a bit confused when She said this to me, but after tasting it I got what she meant. This place itself is super cute and has a little sitting area in the back that looks very calming and like a zen out area. There is also a little area where you can buy merch. If you are looking for a great coffee shop in this area then this is the one.
Relatively tiny place (though they do actually have a couple seats), but they are a nice option for a tourist who doesn't just want to get chain coffee. They had a bit of a rush just as we got there, but the staff was still friendly and prompt. Great location

Took a minute to find this place because it's a small door but glad I did. Our iced lattes were completely delicious! Not overly sweet but pretty tasty. The staff were also extremely friendly and loved my dog! The inside was small and super cute. I got a Cinnamon Bun iced latte with pumpkin foam (amazing!) and my husband got the Coconut latte, he loved it. Quick note: This coffee place is down the stairs so not accessible to all. read more

Iced blueberry pancake latte was delicious! It was perfectly sweet for my preference (disclaimer: I do love lattes and flavored coffee) with coffee strong enough to balance the taste. A Maine must! read more
I was walking through Old Port and was looking for some plural peps. Coffee shops are abundant in Portland, so I knew I was going to stumble onto one of them eventually. Lo and behold, Buzz Coffee appeared in front of me - so I decided to step in. Buzz is a short flight downstairs - it's not a large space, just enough for an ordering counter and a small seating area. The menu is mostly coffee beverages, though they also had a small selection of bakes. My order was fairly simple - an iced coffee with a little half/half. The coffee was good and before I knew it I was on my way. Staff was friendly, and while this was a fairly simple trip, I had a pleasant experience at Buzz. I wouldn't hesitate to return during my Portland explorations. read more

A perfect way to jumpstart your day! The most unique and cute little coffee shop that's tucked away downstairs from the Main Street. I had the coastal cookie iced latte and it was perfectly topped with blue spirulina to give it a unique appearance, and sprinkled with sea salt for a solid finishing touch. The coffee was strong and fresh, not acidic. The girls who worked the counter were all friendly and helpful. Pharmacist approved! read more
Buzz stays killing it as per usual! A subterranean, cozy space on Exchange, delicious ice matcha and chai with non-dairy milk and plenty of syrup options, and even breakfast sandwiches! Delish as usual. Their staff is also very welcoming, which is a plus! Cons: not much indoor seating and no bathroom available to the public. Wifi, though! read more

my boyfriend and I were in Portland to help a friend move into their new house and decided to get coffee before we got into any heavy moving! I saw this place on tiktok and decided this would be the perfect place to try! I got the coastal cookie iced latte with almond milk and would rate it a solid 8/10. It had a bit of a bitter taste, but once I stirred it enough it was really good! I'd definitely drink it again. My boyfriend got the iced mudslide with oat milk and it was AMAZING. It definitely gave me fomo that I didn't order it! The sip I had was a 10/10. He also got the egg and cheese bagel and said it was really good. I'm gluten free so unfortunately there was nothing I could eat here. They didn't have any gluten free options (but if they read this review, I hope they add more in the future!) There's no parking unless you park in the lots around Portland and walk - so keep that in mind. There's also no handicap entrance or accessibility. This cafe is in a basement and there's a steap decline down steps. However, if you find yourself in Portland, It's definitely worth the trip. read more

The seasonal coastal cookie latte was amazing. Yes, it's sweet and practically a milkshake but if that's your thing it's perfect. Staff was quick and very friendly! Right in the middle of downtown! read more
Small little coffee shop in the heart of Old Port. You walk down a set of stairs and the coffee shop is on that lower level. Cozy space. I liked the bar seating area and all the plants. I got an iced chai latte to go. It was great! Friendly staff with quick service. read more
Delicious coffee, super cute staff, and an awesome space with some seating and a little local shopping area, what more could you ask for! The lovely barista recommended an off menu drink to me, a Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte, and it was AMAZING. Perfect afternoon pick me up! read more

Love buzz!! They have a couple outdoor tables to sit at which is nice now. I believe they have WiFi, but they don't have cell service in the downstairs area. The service is great (the employees were dealing with their order tickets printing information wrong, and I saw them have to remake 3 or 4! But they handled it nicely and drinks still came out pretty quickly.) The latte choices are delicious, and I have yet to try the breakfast sandwiches but I'll be back! read more

Well i tried a new "local" shop and was yet again disappointed. I got a cinnamon bun latte and was disappointed. It didn't taste anything like a "cinnamon bun" and more like artificial syrup in a 6oz cup with almond milk mixed in. The cashier wasn't outwardly friendly towards me & the barista also wasn't very friendly either and didn't seem to really care about the drink which is very telling because it just turned out to be another basic drink that i had to force myself to drag around with me all day and throw away almost full . (Not kidding i walked around the entirety of Maine and even went to the lighthouse and still was not able to finish the drink because it was atrocious as you can see in the picture i have attached). The shop itself was underground and you have to climb down these steps to get in so it wasn't very disability friendly and it was giving very much dungeon so if you have bad knees be careful going down and for those in wheelchairs, canes , etc- I don't think they care much about you. Overall , there's other coffee shops in Maine, do yourself a favor and just skip this and avoid unfriendly I hate tourists vibes & save yourself your coffee spending money.. take it from someone who enjoys spending money on coffee but is also fed up and so tired of paying so much money for badly made drinks. Also this is my personal experience and opinion so please feel free to have your own experience and do what you like, I'm just another passerby. read more

Really cute place! Very welcoming vibes! Have to walk down a flight of stairs to access! One of the best chai I've had since I've been in Maine. It's a nice spicy taste but not overly sweet! The cashier was super friendly and nice! Also loved the inner nook area that you could sit in! I also appreciated that they had local art to sell!! Place closes at 2pm though! read more
