we took my uncle here because he has been wanting to try this seafood buffet ...boy were we all disappointed . we spent almost 150 dollars and the food was awful. No service whatsoever from staff. I had to place our dirty plates on tables beside and around us because no one would take them ... we literally had to beg for a refill as well ... for that kind of money you figure the crab legs would be fresh ... the oysters were almost to the point of rot ... they were slime and slid right through my fork. For a large casino buffet I was very underwhelmed! Food selection was less than a typical Golden Corral. The taste was also not great. Very bland food. I tried both dinner and lunch on different days and still was not impressed. read more

What do you do when you receive a free buffet with Asian food, Italian food, and traditional American food amongst other things? You order pancakes, of course! I added some fruit and bacon. The bacon was warm (not hot), which bacon does to me all the time. I think I'm going to start referring to it as Evil Bacon. As far as the fruit goes, some syrup got on the grapes, which was very stressful, but then I just got more pancakes to relieve that stress. Alls well that ends well. read more

Just when you thought that the food at Choctaw Casino could not get any worse, along comes Butterfield's Buffet to seal the deal. Fortunately, we had free vouchers. The regular price for a Sunday evening meal would have been $30 a person. First, the restaurant was relatively empty, but there were 20 people in line. There were two or three who held up the line for nearly 15 minutes while they try to get comps and such set up. The hostess spent time on the phone (trying to verify discounts). We were eventually seated and not many people were there. We went to take a look at the food and it was absolutely atrocious. There was a carving station with dried out cool meat. The young man carving the meat was absolutely clueless and had the personality of a brick. The only other proteins available were chicken or catfish. Very few sides. The lady serving the chicken and such would put two very small strips of catfish or chicken onto a plate. There were corn fritters but the guy serving them said that they were hushpuppies. No shrimp (due to COVID) said the server. Very few people working. Desserts were extraordinarily small and dessert station had not been filled in some time. Overall, horrible. The worst Golden Corral in the country would be better than this. We ended up eating popcorn from the theater (it was excellent). If you come to Choctaw and plan to stay awhile, be sure to bring your own food. read more

Do not waste your time and money on this buffet. Visited today, sunday eve, half of pans on buffet had no food - completely empty. No pizza, no chicken, no prime rib, no seafood. For $30 on a sunday eve - have a few sides and chicken drumsticks, a little salads and an empty dessert case. The customers should be warned when paying that the already small buffet is only half filled. Thank you for giving me a refund - no we never got food. However you made me pay for my glass of wine that I did not want while walking out. Close your buffet or improve it but dont rip ppl of! I've been coming to Butterfield's since I was 17 and I'm 23 now. Over the years, nothing has really changed about the buffet until recently. They have put more of a focus on desserts and rearranged the lines a little. For example, there is a carving station under Mexican food and they've skimmed down on their Mexican food choices quite a bit. This buffet is your typical non Las Vegas casino buffet. It's really just hit or miss depending on when you visit. I've had AMAZING dinners here and I've had meals that I wouldn't have paid $5 for, much less the upwards of $20 that it costs. I'm disappointed they have cut down on the Mexican food selection so much as that used to be my favorite section to eat from. They have decent home cooking and a pretty fair salad bar. Desserts are amazing now that they're focusing more on them. Their key lime pie is some of the best I've ever had. Honestly, eating here is just a gamble. But I do believe it's the best meal in the casino so you may just want to try your luck! read more

The food was good, the staff was very friendly. I just thought there would be more variety. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and maybe that is why there was not as much variety as I thought there would be. I was expecting maybe some dim sum dishes, like pork buns and gyoza. Not just rice, lo main, spring rolls, tso chicken, and tofu stir fry. I was expecting crab legs and a few other seafood dishes, not just crab salad and shrimp (or at least more of a variety of shrimp than the peel and eat). There was prime rib, although it was a bit too pink for my liking - but don't take my word on that because I'm sure that is how it is intended to be eaten. Complaint on your Buffet. There were bugs on the food. 6/14/24. Food was dried out and we could not eat it. Servers were not even at the stations to serve you. Their buffet was very good. Enjoyed the service. Food was delicious. We were able to get our meal free by joining their members club. All you can eat with crab and prime rib plus many more. You can't beat that. The dessert section looked wonderful but after a full meal who can taste everything. Although their coconut creme pie needed to be rid of. Just whipped cream and coconut. This place was on the way, so we decided to still give it a try even after reading all the bad reviews about the food. It's actually quite good. Fresh ingredients. Some might be a little on the salty side though. They now offer the lobster at the counter where you find Chinese food. There could be a long line around dinner time. Our waiter Raymond was awesome! It's pretty much a casino buffet, you know? I think most people eat at these places because they get free buffet coupons. This particular one is a little cheaper price-wise than Winstar, at 28 a person. You probably know what a casino buffet is looking me already, so I won't walk you through all that. This one is not a huge one but it had all the staples: Fake Asian food, stations that take you around the globe but also make you sad about life, tons of fried stuff, misappropriation of cultures (why the Hell is there curry next to the pho?) and the Saturday seafood special of overcooked crab legs and fried catfish. They had an expansive dessert section with dried out cakes. Why am I giving it four stars? Because this is the norm for buffets and they do it well. Service was great, and while the food wasn't anything special, it was still edible you know? I've been to ones where I wouldn't eat the fish with your digestive tract. Everything here was nicely presented and there was even a processed ham for Easter lol. While this place won't make you rush back it also won't kill you either. That's 4 stars:) read more

I know the pandemic changed buffets but wow, this one was bad. Could have been because we went on a Monday evening but still, very little effort here. Everything looked like it had been sitting for days, not even just hours. Things like gravy and potatoes looked crusted over. Fried chicken wasn't crispy or flavorful and was extremely dry. Pasta dish I tried was so over cooked you couldn't even tell there was pasta there, it was just mush. The bread was stale. The steamed shrimp didn't even taste like shrimp, just cold and chewy. I could go on but you get the idea. The only thing that was decent was the fried rice. If I come to this casino again, I'll just have a Smashburger. Not worth stopping for at all. Even though Butterfield's is a buffet, the food is dished out for you. Not a problem, possibly more sanitary and less waste. There is a wide variety of items to choose from. We visited on a Friday night so they prime rib. Sausage (like kielbasa), fried shrimp and fish, sides as in mashed potatoes, rice, gravy, corn , green beans, then there is a pizza/pasta area and a Chinese area. Salad bar along with peel and eat shrimp, which was one of my favorites. And of course crab legs. The crab legs were meaty but 'watery' and cold by the time you got to your table. They only give you two clusters at a time, and good thing cause we struggled with the two we had each time because they got cold. The melted butter was unflavorful. It may of been unsalted butter. Not really sure. But we asked for some old bay which helped. Oh and can't forget the dessert bar. A good amount of items to choose from. Delicious way to end the meal. Overall, the service was good. Our waiter/waitress was attentive and cleared our plates and scrap buckets often. read more

Terrible reception at front desk. Went on a Sunday night. Most of the food had been sitting too long. The beef at the carving station was well prepared, but the chicken fried steak was so hard and dry I could not cut with a knife. The Mexican food was equally sitting too long. They ran out of oysters on the half shell during the dinner service. This was a waste of 30.00 per person. They were also understaffed leaving one person to manage the seafood, salad, and dessert section. I waited 15 minutes just to have someone pass me a slice of cake. Maybe the casino food and beverage manager could have come out of her/his office and helped the staff and monitor the food quality. Next time I'm at the casino I will not eat here. read more

I'm local and come here to have their crab legs every couple months. Sometimes it's hit or miss if it's good or not. Last night was the ABSOLUTE WORST food I've ever had. First off the crab legs tasted like they we from last week. Stunk like fish soo bad. Usually they keep the crab legs in hot water prior to serving. Last night they kept them in a guess what you'd call a steam cabinet to keep them warm until serving. What this did was continue to cook the meat in the crab legs until it was reduced by at least 50%-60%. The shells became so pliable that you couldn't crack a single one. The few ones that you could crack open to little surprise there was hardly any meat. It was all cooked down to almost nothing. The meat that you was able to eat was like eating a cotton ball. All jokes aside, out of 7 plates of crab legs I was literally able to eat about 7 or 8 legs. It took me 16 plates just to be able to make a meal out of it for the money it cost. Can't decide if I'll be back. This picture I took of my hands was after 10 plates and I never had to wipe them once because they were so dry. This place is best described as a Golden Corral on steroids. They have a little bit of everything and most everything is quite good. The meats were very tender and yummy. I came for lobster night... wow what a treat. Overall , the food is very good , the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere... well it's a cafeteria in a casino. It is not as bad as 2,5 stars. Food is tasty, great service and good selection of deserts . It is a bit pricey , 31$ per person on a Friday night . They do have some seafood selection ( crab, shrimp, oysters, clamps, mussels) but don't expect luxury buffet ... it is Oklahoma not Las Vegas ... Super Disappointed! We used to drive from Texas just to eat here on Friday nights for the sea food and the steamed crab legs in particular. During COVID Sea Food was all but removed from the menu. The buffet was still better than most but we were really excited to see a Sea Food Buffet advertised for the 4th of July weekend (Fri-Sun). We drove out on Saturday afternoon with the family specifically for the buffet. The rest of the food was great but my husband was really upset that the crab legs were served chilled. When he mentioned it he was told that many other people had been upset about it but that they would not steam his. He happens to be very particular and doesn't eat chilled sea food so he ended up refunding his buffet and being miserable while the rest of us ate. I hope that they will sort out a way to please customers with specific requests but i fear that the pandemic has forever changed customer service. read more

Butterfiels was probably the worst food I've ever had. Went for seafood night. 40bucks a head. 225 with the tip. I took out the in-laws. Everything was tasteless and cooked to death. The lobsters were boiled to death and chewed like rubber they were so over cooked. Whole place smelled like old seafood. Definitely not fresh. Pizza no good. Cold no taste and crust like undercooked dough. Catfish not crispy, but under cooked and mushy. Went there this past Saturday for the seafood buffet. There were no oysters, crab legs or steak available. The fried shrimp was overcooked, gumbo was super salty and not good. The Pho line was slow and long. Lobster line was okay at times, when they had 2 people serving. Too long when only one was serving.
