It was decent. At 11:15 am on a Sunday, we had breakfast at the Grand Cafe inside Choctaw Casino. Two of us shared the Country Breakfast. It was quite enough. We did order a biscuit which was to be our breakfast dessert. We ordered our eggs (3) over medium. They were perfect. The dish came with oven cooked skin-on red potatoes. Nice. We chose the breaded cube steak. Think Chicken Fried Steak. We knew if would be a bit tough and chewy. It was but it was still decent. We added their gravy to it. The gravy was decent as well. For breakfast dessert, we had jelly on that biscuit we ordered. For the money - $26.95, it was a great value. That and the meal being decent scores this breakfast a score of 5 of 5. That said, we considered the buffet. It was $35 per person. For us, we made the right choice. read more

This cafe inside Choctaw Casino deserves more credit than it's gotten here. They've updated their space and it's bright and lovely. Their servers today were extremely welcoming and helpful. I never felt forgotten. Now the food. The fried pickles were good...a little spicy for my tastes, but I enjoyed them. They are definitely a shareable appetizer. But the chicken pot pie? It was incredible! The flaky crust was perfect and the creamy mixture inside the pie was exactly how I like it. Plenty of veggies and chicken with lots of creamy goodness. read more

A Grand time was had! The service, food and entire vibe of this restaurant was awesome. We were immediately greeted and seated. It was a true family affair our grandchild, niece and nephew dined with us. The menu isn't as extensive but it's quite hearty. Although a kid's menu is not provided, they still enjoyed themselves.The plates actually provide more than a double portion of food. So, it's very easy to split 2 or even 3 times. Of course depending on how small your little one is. We enjoyed the vegetable beef soup, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, potatoes, fries and salad. Unfortunately, I would give this restaurant, a ZERO STAR, review, instead of a 1 STAR, but Yelp doesn't do ZERO STAR RATINGS. We wanted to order the Deviled Eggs that was on the menu, but this manager , said we had to be Onyx Tier, in order for us to order Deviled Eggs. She offered us free dessert, but didn't see dessert choices on the menu. I told her I was a Diabetic and can't eat Dessert , after the manager told us, no Deviled Eggs , she Walked Away! Just ate here with my family (party of three), and unfortunately, the food and overall experience were well below par. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold, the menu was surprisingly limited, and the food left a lot to be desired. We ordered the biscuit sandwich with house potatoes (the biscuits were stale and the potatoes had zero seasoning), the smothered chicken with a salad and mac and cheese (the salad was fine, but the mac was somehow dry--yes, dry--and the chicken lacked seasoning), and the cheeseburger with onion rings (the onion rings were just okay despite the upcharge, and the patty was tough, even for well-done). Each of us ate maybe half our plates before calling it quits. To be clear, I don't fault the chefs, servers, or staff--they're clearly working with very little. But there is nothing "GRAND" about this café. And the prices? Our bill came to just over $80, which is a bit comical given the quality. Do yourself a favor and keep walking thru the casino-- you'll find better food elsewhere for the same (or less) money. R.I.P. Bluemoon Cafe!!! The food was good, but the 5 stars are for our server who gave us far better than average service. She was outstanding. She was quick, friendly, personable, and extremely helpful. She saw one of us trying to take a group picture and offered to take it for us so everyone could be in the photo. Our table ordered 2 All Americans, 2 cowboy Western Omelettes, 1 burrito, and 1 biscuits and gravy. We all got bacon. We were all happy with our orders. We ate here on our last night at the Casino and it was probably the best food we had during our stay. There were nine in our party and we all enjoyed our food and service. We all agreed that we should have eaten here more often. If you don't think that's a good deal, keep in mind this is in a casino. Very good food. Staff was super friendly. I'm staying here under a pen name, so there's a lot of confusion when I charge to my room. I have to explain it several times everywhere I go, then they have to call the front desk to confirm, but definitely worth the hassle. The people who work here in general are friendly. I recommend Grand Cafe (formerly Blue Moon) and I recommend Choctaw Hotel & Casino. If you're not sure where to eat, I would hit Bamboo first, then Grand Cafe. Still have to try a couple of others. Had a business lunch here and it was okay. There are other restaurants in the casino I would choose over grand cafe though. The water tasted like a chemical was in it but no worries the waiter brought us bottled water right away. The shrimp Alfredo meal was okay as well. It could use some seasoning in my opinion. Their ambience is quiet serene and all team members were nice and ready to help you with their suggestion. We went their with our gang and i really don't remember our server's name but he was very patient and come up with suggestions. We have ordered multiple items from veg options to sandwiches, pasta, wings and pancakes. Pasta and flatbread was unremarkably delicious and same goes for shrimp platter but we were little disappointed with pancakes but still it was okay. Server was kind and considerate enough as he offered us extra macrons when we order only four. I was very disappointed that they chose to close and remodel Blue Moon. I loved that place and have for years. Im even more disappointed now that they turned it into this dumpster of a restaurant. The pros: Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The nachos are a large portion (good for sharing and could even be enough for a one person meal) The salad was very good and fresh, but it's lettuce and tomato with some croutons and dressing so that's not anything special. The cons: * I ordered an omelet and hash browns. The food was horrible. It was flavorless mush. How do you mess up breakfast food? * It's EXPENSIVE. I don't think their meals are even worth $5, let alone the outrageous prices they're charging * Our waitress was the only pleasant staff member. We got lucky. As a personal choice I normally do not eat at hotel restaurants for breakfast because it seems they over charge and are the food is not on point. We overslept and decided to try the only restaurant in the Casino serving breakfast. Big mistake! They had a very limited menu consisting of 6 line items. The food was over priced and not appetizing. The biscuits were hard and cold and the hash browns were not browned and they were swimming in grease. The staff blamed Covid-19 when I complained. COVID-19 is not a reason. This place is deceptive and they will lie to your face about how things on your bill doesn't add up. I am Choctaw Veteran and I took my Sister's family here for dinner and the food is delicious and the waitress was nice and respectful. But at the moment of billing was the worst part because they threw on a 30.80 gratuity and said it was because of my family size but we kept the kids under control. The restraunt atmosphere was nice including the table was clean and chairs where clean as well. The manager was a blonde hair girl with an I am better than you attitude towards everyone. She explained to me that 30.80 was 10% of 169.82. Which is a lie because that calculates to a 20% tip not 10%. Then I asked for a Veteran discount and it was meant to be 10% of the overall bill but the discount I got was 2.40. So me and my family won't ever be back to this restraunt. I ordered the club sandwich which I have ordered in the past and it's usually pretty good. This time...I saw the sandwich when it landed on my plate and thought, how can you screw up a club sandwich. Well, they did. It was horrible, soggy bread, meat stacked up as if it just came from a package of cheap lunch meat, lettuce was at least several days old and overall not good. This place has such an insane employee turnover rate that you can't get consistency in food or service quality. Pass on the calamari. It was freezer burnt and rubbery the last time we got it but we are accustomed to fresh calamari so perhaps we are snobs. Pasta dishes are large servings. Just another casino cafe. Nice clean place with good service however the breakfast menu is limited. My eggs were okay but the hash browns looked like they had been ironed onto the plate. We came to the grand cafe on February 16, 2020. When we first came up to the hostess it felt like we were an inconvenience, yes we had a big group but there were hardly any tables occupied. A waitress, named Pam who was very nice started waiting on us, then in the middle of us ordering another waitress who was very rude came and took over our table.
