This place is so cute. I was in town for work and had an hour to kill so I came here to get some work done. The cold brew was delicious and the staff was great. The coffee was also reasonably priced which is always a plus. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town with some time to kill.

Best tomato soup and grilled cheese combo ever! The vibe is awesome, the staff are extraordinarily polite. It's very eclectic inside. They were wide range of beverage options for every coffee connoisseur. Looks like an amazing place to have an open mic night!

Super cute interior with plenty of seating. A cup of drip coffee cost $2.50 and was infinitely better than the gross green logo chain in town. Cashier was super sweet and helpful in making sure I got exactly what I wanted. Definitely want to come back and try some food!

The lemon blueberry muffins are absolutely awesome! They have a good selection of coffee and are fairly quick to prepare. It's a nice building with ample seating. Sure wish they had a drive-thru. Overall good coffee here. I was disappointed with a few things. The selection is a bit limited. They don't offer caramel flavoring or have Splenda and I drink mostly caramel lattes so that's a downside for me. Anyway, probably be back for more muffins.

Located in a historic opera house in downtown Durant, this coffee shop is a great place for breakfast or lunch, it's good for gatherings, and is also a nice place to do some remote work for a couple of hours. The staff is always friendly, the coffee is consistently delicious, and they have a nice selection of fresh-baked pastries. Hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads are available for lunch, and they have a soup of the day as well.

Cinnamon apple muffin and ham and cheese croissant- both amazing.

Beautiful space and delicious coffee. One of the best cups of coffee I have found in the area. They also have a nice selection of pastries and food items.

Great place to start the day! The atmosphere from the moment you walk in is very eclectic. I ordered a lavender latte and a jalapeño cheddar scone. I had a seat at the couches before going the a chair at the front of the shop - both places were very comfortable. The lavender latte tasted delicious & the scone was excellent. You could definitely social distance easily there as well. I will definitely be going back next time I am in Durant.

My first time today with a friend. I like the atmosphere. They have coffee, muffins, and more. I had an Iced Vanilla Latte and fresh baked chocolate chip cookie.

Let me explain. Once inside it feels more diner like. The waitress seemed discombobulated and not as polished as you would expect. We ordered two round of drinks and both were very slow to come out. We almost cancelled the second round because we were done eating and still hadn't recieved them. I think the wait staff may have to make their own cocktails so that may be why it's so slow, I'm not sure though. Let's talk food. We ordered the ribeye with brussel sprouts and carrots. It was very mid. It was a $60 steak so we expected more. It came off as a steak from chilis. It also had a peppercorn sauce on top that wasn't the best. Veggies were good and tender. We also ordered the gnocchi. That dish was a success delicious. We absolutely recommend that one but we can't recommend the steak. The ambience was a mix of an attempt at high end and diner. See my pics and you will understand. We won't go back and we usually try a place twice before we make that decision. Food 7/10 - because the gnocchi was delicious Ambience 7/10 - mix of upscale and casual is strange Wait staff- 7/10

Authentic Mexican in Durant, Oklahoma?! Check out: El Kanelo!…read more My wife and I were in Durant, Oklahoma, attending an early evening Graduation at Southeastern Oklahoma State (Go Savage Storm!). We got to town mid-afternoon and had worked up an appetite chatting about Tacos and Shrimp dishes on our 2 hour drive up from Dallas, Texas. We spotted an unassuming Mexican cafe called El Kanelo (Cinnamon) on 729 N. First Street, and stopped in, not confident we would like the place & food. We were swiftly seated in a large booth, ordered water with lemmon (for which we weren't charged) and were brought crispy chips and fresh, home-made, chunky red salsa. The decor was traditional Mexican with dark wooden benches and tables adorned with colorful Mexican pottery back boards. My wife ordered the Steak (strips) Fajita dish ($15.99) and I ordered the Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo (suateed shrimp in garlic, olive oil and citrus juice) ($15.59). Both (large) dishes were brought out within 15 minutes sizzling hot, with richly seasoned aroma of lightly burned peppers. My shrimp was tender, not overcooked and smothered in richly flavored garlic butter. My wife's ample steak fajita's were served on a bed of onions, bell peppers (paprika) and piping hot yellow squash slices. Here is our verdict: Ambiance & Service: 3.5 stars Food Presentation & Quality: 4 stars Food Texture & Taste: 5 stars Quantity & Value: 4.5 stars Overall, an exceptional experience. We each left with a to-go box filled to the rim! We are already planning to go back this summer. Put El Kanelo in Durant, Oklahoma (10 minutes North of the Texas state line) on your road trip list!

I had the combination meal and they substituted the rice with refried beans. Personal preference Service was excellent and the margaritas were not as sweet as you sometimes get, so thinking they use a different mix They were okay and would consider the pitcher option next time The Ambiance was typical Mexican restaurant decor. Once seated hard to tell one from the other but it works. Will be back
