The Feed Bin, in Caney, Oklahoma. A quintessential country, small town diner. With a name like that it had to be good. It was better than good. We pulled open the door at 10:30. Plenty of tables and booths available. The friendly waitress had menus in front of us as soon as we sat down. First question for her was, "Are you still serving breakfast?" The positive response I was hoping for came back, "All day" A magnificent Spanish Omelet for my wife and my usual. Check the pictures. My usual was perfect. Crisp bacon, crisp hashbrowns, sunny side eggs, with a big biscuit and gravy on the side. The Spanish Omelet was loaded with cheese, bell pepper, onion and tomato. On top was a generous pile of crumbled country sausage with a sprinkling of jalapeno slices. An unusual version of the meal. Country sausage? Yep. Delicious. I really love The Feed Bin! I usually come here on the weekends if I'm craving some good home cooked or fried food. I have never eaten something that I didn't like here. I absolutely LOVE their fried pickles! During my most recent visit, our table ordered the fried pickles, the fried mushrooms, and corn fritters and WOW, they were delicious!!! It's a little homey environment with southern hospitality! We had the three combo appetizer that had fried green tomatoes, calf fries and fried mushrooms so that we could try different items. I should have asked for cheese. It was an Okie version of Poutine almost! But it was amazing! The meat tasted fresh. We were greeted warmly and were given some great suggestions on what to order. My husband loved the bottletops (fried/breaded jalapeños with cheese), the tater tots were amazing, and I had honestly forgotten that a hamburger could be that large!! OMG!! Best place to stop for a quick eat. Great food and service was good. Really nice on the inside and very accommodating. If you like southern style food with a selection from breakfast, lunch, dinner, seafood, pies, cake, and awesome variety. My family is very picky but the menu is very appealing. I had the meat lovers omelet.. wow it was good but the biscuits and gravy was also amazing. We had corn poppers which are corn fritters... Very good. Wife had the grilled chicken salad which was also good. My daughter had the two piece fish which was also good.
