We stopped in on a busy Thursday night and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender quickly got our drink orders while we perused the menu. The menu has an ample number of selections, and all fits on one page. My wife got the Chicken Tacos and I got the Jalapeño Burger. The burger is a creative combination of peppers within and on top, stuffed with cream cheese. It was delicious! I got the standard Shoestring Fries-they came piping hot and were also great. The tacos come with a side of chips and a nice, smoky salsa. The tacos were delicious and the ranch was a great compliment. Prices are very reasonable, and while the 15.5% taxes are crazy, that'd be the case anywhere in town. Service was excellent. Definitely recommended. read more

Decided to check this place out after leaving Choctaw. It's a cool little spot. Greeted when we walked in the door and up the stairs. We ordered two burgers and subbed the fries out for onion rings and sweet potato fries. Everything came out hot and fresh. Drinks were refilled immediately and we were checked on often. This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is waiting on you hand and foot. The food was incredible. Had cheese curds to start & a Gouda burger with onion rings. Stopped in on the way to Ouachita national Forest on a Friday evening. It was busy at 5PM but not over crowded and there were plenty of seats. Service was great. They had Yueling on tap with the tiny ice crystals. It was perfect. My husband had a Cuban, our friends had a quesadilla and Italian. I had the jalapeño bacon burger minus the bun. Everyone thought the food was great for bar food but I really thought my burger was absolutely delicious!! Love that they put stuffed jalapeños on top! We really really enjoyed this place! We stopped in to check it out since we are new to the area. The outside was very welcoming the decor was awesome they sell clothing and other things and there's a little stage for some live music. We went to the bar there was only one other person there beside the bar tender. We ordered drinks and then looked at the food menu we just ordered the Bavarian pretzel with cheese dip and it was so so good !! I can't wait to check this place out at a busier time and see how it works with the bar tender also being the chef ! I will update soon! read more

The sandwich was on a toasted bun with leaf lettuce. Just a note; I'm very picky about my chicken salad and requested a sample before ordering. It was just right for me in that it wasn't over loaded with mayo. 1 house margarita Chicken salad was excellent. Chicken were good as well bad the fries. This place is a bar with pub type food. It is actually a historic bldg (use to be an actual ice house). They have live music on Tuesdays and Saturdays per the bartender. It seats about 50-75 people. The bartender was very friendly; we actually talked for about 10-15 min. The atmosphere was laid back. This is a hidden gem in Durant. We have lived in the area since 2017 and haven't tried this place. We will be back. read more

The Old Ice House has been on 3rd street in Durant since 1927, but it's never been as cool as it is now. The new owners have done a great job with the decor and the staff makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. I took my three grandsons here to eat. They ordered boneless chicken wings. What they received was 6 pieces of popcorn chicken about the size of the top of your thumb and few pieces of carrots and celery strips with ranch dressing. We all thought it was a joke because it came on a tin plate and the plate was empty except for the 6 small pieces of chicken. I only ordered the cheese curds off the appetizer menu. The price was $70. The boys including my little 10 year was done in six bites obviously. Still hungry, I had to order French fries for them to have something to eat. Yes, we will not go back. We stopped in tonight for a quick drink after dinner. The owner was super sweet and adorable and made us feel so welcome. The salted caramel coffee martini was perfect and I'm pretty sure my husband finished his in about a minute, But the real reason for my 5 stars is the ladies restroom! So much attention to detail that you can tell the owners put their hearts into it. Go, get a salted caramel coffee martini and stop by the ladies on your way out. You will be happy you did! read more
